If you like, we can break rounds at this point. As a group you may gather, and decide were you each want to be, put yourself near there and I'll skip us ahead a few rounds. There are several passages, and a room that have not been explored, a few doors and the space behind the zombie-proof bars.

Alia of the Blade
"This door won't budge...let's head back to the others, Scarlet...", Alia suggests, ready to get back to the previous room for now.
Also, your bloodrage...you'll be fatigued if you drop it, right? I know that, so it would be preferable to not be separated. And there was another path leading north, previously, that we have not checked...wouldn't want to overextend ourselves, then get hit from the back...
Scarlet Scarab
Scarlet will be exhausted for 4 rounds if she drops bloodrage. If we're doubling back, she will do that.
"Yeah, this thing's tough. Let's head to Zokon." Scarlet exhales a plume of smoke, and is clearly fatigued.
"So, what's the plan? I kick down the door, you guys make some noise?"
Zokon Santyev
"I can help with door kicking... or breaking.. can we chop it open? But first I probably need some healing that punch I took from the zombie is more uncomfortable than I first realised. "
Zokon is massaging the area around where he got hit.
Celyne
Celyne slips up next to Zokon and uses the clw wand on him
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Expending a single charge, she gets him back to almost cured, (if his tagline is accurate of being down 10)
RPGGGM
END COMBAT
Celyne: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Numalar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Poshment: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Scarlet: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Zokon: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Folks form up. A minute (6 rounds) or so passes. Zokon, Alia and Posh all have lights of one sort or another.
RPGGGM
Moved you up to the door I think you want. Feel free to reorganize as needed. Make sure that you have updated your various status lines. People who were shaken are still shaken.
The door before you is old and sturdy. The wood comes from a tree that none of the party ever remembers seeing before. It's wrought iron fixtures, and ominous, stone door-frame are decorated in a skull motifs. Think Castle Greyskull decor. There's a keyhole from which pours a wisp of cool air.
The horrible, stone eye reliefs seem to watch. They look positively evil in the interplay of alchemical and magical lights.
Scarlet Scarab
"Huh. Cute skull. You guys ready? I'm just gonna kick this thing."
Assuming no one objects, Scarlet keeps her swords drawn and kicks.
Str check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
"GAH! Why am I so bad at this?"
Numalar Auritonius
|
Assuming no one objects, Scarlet keeps her swords drawn and kicks.
"Wait! Did we check for traps? You already fell into a pit once. Let's not repeat that."
Numalar examines the doorway.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
RPGGGM
To Numalar's eyes, it seems to be free of the usual poison darts, swinging blades, murderholes, etc.... The door is built to swing into room beyond.
Scarlet Charley horse?
Alia of the Blade
"Give me a piece of chalk, Zokon"
Alia, somewhat unnerved by the skuil motifs, paints over their eyes with chalk, then paints happy smiles on their lower half.
"Little bugger went this way, you say? You think he has a key, or would there be some mechanism to open the door? Say, a button or the like?"
RPGGGM
Updated the map with a representation of the door's hardware.
Oh, and Scarlet has not yet hauled off and kicked it in--since Numalar objected and proved her assumption wrong at the time.
Zokon Santyev
Zokon hands over chalk and says "Thankyou Celyne I feel much better."
Zokon looks at the door and waits for Alia to do whatever "Is it locked?"
RPGGGM
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Zokon It doesn't seem locked (at least from what you can tell on this side), but it is stuck in its frame.
Zokon Santyev
Kn Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
"Seems Jammed, we could hack it to pieces with axes... seems I don't have one of those."
Alia of the Blade
"Yeah, or we unjam it!"
Strenght: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Alia, done with her chalk painting, eyes the door for a moment before bashing it open with a roundhouse-kick.
"Creepy wood is a lot better than metal cell doors."
Numalar Auritonius
|
"Well, I can't say that I like the skull motif, but I don't see any evidence of a trap."
Zokon, are you really at 11 HP out of 21? Maybe we should give you a zap from the healing wand.
Alia of the Blade
Zokon Santyev
Sheesh.. happy now?
Alia of the Blade
Scarlet Scarab
Scarlet grins as Alia kicks down the door.
"Heh, I should have asked you to kick down that metal door back there..."
She peers down the corridor...
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
RPGGGM
Sheets of cobwebs blow in the breeze from the doorway.
The door opens upon a room strewn with bones. Small piles of once-people piled along the walls and corners a couple laying stretched upon the steps of the recessed dais, and one hunched over in a stone throne decorated with more bone carvings. Most were armed and in armor of one kind or another. The equipment that you can make out under dust and webs has moldered to uselessness.
The walls of the room as full of rows of leering stone skulls that run like molding at a human's waist and eye-level. The pillars supporting the 20-foot tall domed ceiling seem to be made exclusively of skulls. Most of the skulls in the decor, and the heaps of desiccated remains seem human, but other races are represented as well.
Opposite the party's door is a another stout door barred against whatever is beyond with a brace on this side.
Scarlet Scarab
Heal: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
"Why would you waste your time cementing real skulls?" Scarlet ponders at the bones. "Why would you collect all these skeleton bones?" She shakes her head. "I'm glad we're down here. We gotta put this desecration of Erastil's temple to a halt."
Alia of the Blade
"Right. Cozy. And the bodies of those who came before us are so comforting. If you are set on going in here and setting things right, I would REALLY like to make sure our path back to the surface is not compromised...", Alia replies.

"I would REALLY like to make sure our path back to the surface is not compromised...", Alia replies.
"Indeed... if we cannot track down whoever it was who shot Posh, I would rather not make camp here in this labyrinth."
"Strange... if the figure we saw was the same one you saw in the prison, there ought to be a passage to the north somewhere here."
Numalar examines the north wall of the corridor and then looks around in the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
RPGGGM
Numalar doesn't note anything beyond what is already known about area.
Since folks are looking about the room I've moved you in there. Feel free to reposition yourselves.
In the room, between the bands of mud-brick skull molding, the walls still have the evil-looking mutilation/eye motif.
"COME IN WHY DON'T YOU? THE DOOR IS AFTER ALL OPEN. HEH." Booms a voice that echos off the ceiling dome and throughout the chamber.
It causes Zokon to flinch. Zokon becomes shaken.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Scarlet Scarab
"Fine! I will!" Scarlet steps foolishly bravely into the room, swapping her swords for hammers. "Why don't you come on in and show yourself!"
Thing in the Dark
"HEH HEH HEH HEH. VERY WELL...." The eyes of the skeleton on the throne light up with an eerie, blue witchfire. It raises it's head creakily from its chest and regards the party.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Knowledge it Power If (and only if) you have ranks in Knowledge (arcana or religion) you may make a Perception or Sense Motive check (DC 14).
If you SUCCEED at the Perception/Sense Motive check, you can make a second roll using Knowledge (arcana or religion) (DC 15) to reveal BOTH of the spoilers below IN ORDER.
If you FAIL at the Perception/Sense Motive check, you can still make a second roll using Knowledge (arcana or religion) (DC 15) to reveal ONLY THE FIRST spoiler below.

"No idea what you purport to be, but I'm not quite willing to become part of your interieur design. It sucks!", Alia states as she enters a fighting stance again, Estoc ready.
And I wanted to go make sure our way out is save...
Just bantering, no action...I expect we are about to init?
RPGGGM
Most-probably, but all the checks are reactions so I want to give folks the chance to check in before we go there.
Scarlet Scarab
Scarlet lacks the skills to make the checks.
"Finally! The boss!" Scarlet readies her warhammer and light hammer. "Time to clean up this place."

"By Macrathane's Rotten Left Testicle! It's a Crypt Thing! Beware, friends. Their claws are deadly, and they can cause us to be teleported around the complex."
I got 5 over the DC. Anything else I might now? Weaknesses?
Numalar turns to the thing. He looks at the creature, and the area around it. Is there a crossbow around? Do I think this could be what shot at Posh?
"What is it that you want, creature?"
Thing in the Dark
I got 5 over the DC. Anything else I might now? Weaknesses?
Magic and the obvious. Bet that masterwork mace looks pretty good right now. :)
Also, there are no obvious crossbows (maybe under cobwebs and bones, but nothing out in the open). The skeleton has a fool's scepter (a rod with a whimsically carved fool's face and three-bell cowl as its head) in its hand. It's too tall to be Posh's attacker, who was a capital 'S' Small humanoid. This one is Medium-size.

Fear Aura The crypt thing rises from the throne! Zokon (shaken), Numalar (shaken), Didymus, Celyne (doesn't look like I ever got a will save vs creepy dungeon (Sept 4)--amended below--currently you are shaken), Scarlet, Will save DC 16 or be frightened for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds. This overrides the previous shaken effect. After 4 rounds those who are shaken go back to being shaken except for Zokon (his was a shorter duration shaken). He's just fine.
Remember being shaken effects saves.
Celyne's previous Will save v creepy dungeon art: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
The horror rises swiftly from it's throne and looms large from it's dais. "IMPERTINENCE!! UNGRATEFUL GUESTS!! OFF WITH YOU!!" A wave of energy like an angry Aurora Borealis sweeps outward in all directions from the mostly-skeleton. It washes over the party like a ghost tide. "DO THEY NOT STILL TEACH MANNERS THESE DAYS...."
Teleporting Burst (Su) Will save DC 18. If you succeed, congratulations, you get to stay where you are. If you fail: First Roll a d12, second, make a Survival check DC 15. Don't forget to roll for your animal companions as well.

drat, I think I'm gonna wish I failed that one, lol
Scarlet Scarab
Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
"You think you can scare..." Scarlet's eyes lock into the monster's, and she sees a bottomless void. Somewhere, deep down inside, she knows she'll never find her brother. Or even worse, she'll find his corpse in front something she could have protected him from. Why did she run? Why did she get into that argument? "Sorry! Didn't mean- I mean, Alia, run."
Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Scarlet disappears as the wave hits her.

"Run, from this conceited skeleton? To a proper undead, he couldn't hold a candle, check..."(Yeah, it's really bad, but I utterly needed a Candlejack pun there) Alia blurs and is gone...
What?: 1d12 ⇒ 11

I'll give Posh a few more hours before rolling for him. For now assume he winked out (if only temporarily) and is experiencing dimensional highway traffic. In the meantime....
Celyne watches in horror as all of her companions including Luna wink out of existence as the strange lights wash over them. Suddenly she is plunged into pitch black darkness. See page 1 of the map folio.
Luna and Sir Didymus (minus his rider) are individually plunged into darkness of their own. See page 3 of the map folio.
The two members of the party with darkvision appear in a section of corridor; Scarlet just inches away from an open pit trap and Numalar sitting in mid-air about 30 inches above the flagstones. See page 3 of the map folio.
Zokon appears back in the party's temporary camp in the cave temple in the sculpted rock-face of the huge stone prominence above, startling Neleksa. See page 2 of the map folio.
Alia arrives opposite a man decked out in forest green robes seated before a campfire in the midst of the woods. See page 3 of the map folio.

"MEEP!"
On reflex, Naleksa brings the 10-foot pole she was carrying to bear against the the suddenly appearing apparition of Zokon.
10-foot-pole: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Zokon narrowly ducks the blow.
"Abadar's key to Calistria's vault! Where did you come from?"
Eldiocesan of Dweomervale
"Why hello. Do beautiful elf warrior women often pop into existence here?" Says the man in green robes with a broad smile. He's sitting on rock holding a long pipe in one hand, and stirring a cauldron of stew, hung over a fire, with a big wooden spoon with the other. A backpack, and bedroll lay nearby along with a wide-brimmed, pointy, forest-green hat. "You wouldn't happen to have six sisters would you?"
There's an old stone path that leads into the ground just to one side of the camp. It seem like the entrance to a submerged barrow.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Celyne
Celyne, suddenly plunged into darkness... tries to recall where the exit was and retrace her steps, arms out to avoid running into a wall. if she can find the exit, she'll feel her way along it and keep going as long as she can.
Alia of the Blade
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
"I...how DID I end up here?", Alia blushes and is thrown off-track when she is being called beautiful, not something her mind was prepared for opting to rush into battle moments ago..."Only a twin brother...and 2 half sisters I know of...why six-", she interrupts herself, swallos, then looks around nervously,
What the f@&%, girl, pull yourself together.
"I...have no time. We can talk later. Now, I have friends in danger. Does this lead to some trap-infested underground temple run by a megalomaniac skeleton with incredibly bad taste in decoration?", she points at the stone path looking like an entrance with her Estoc, while looking at the bull-sized green dog.
"And I hope that one's yours...", she then points at the beast with her free hand.
Luna Tiger
Luna attacks and kills the dog... lol j/k...
Luna sniffs the air, trying to determine where she is... if she's been there before, and if so retrace steps to get back to Celyne. If not, she'll sniff for any familiar scents at all.
Alia of the Blade
@GM: If Celyne is in the dark because everybody else got ported away with their light sources: I did express my intent to cast light for her..."I can cast light for Celyne", when I suggested to get rid of the layers because we would have had 2*darkvision, 2*sunrod, 2*light. I would assume we did this while forming up in front of the door...so she SHOULD have some magical light with her that allows her to flee, unless the darkness is from another source...I would not point it out regulary, but this unlucky turn of events could become bad, fast, with her effectively blind and alone with a boss.
Sir Didymus.
*whine*
Sir Didymus shuffles nervously. This isn't supposed to happen! Where is everybody?
If Sir Didymus can hear or smell anyone that seems familiar (and living) he will bark and shuffle towards it slowly (or faster if there is a light source). Otherwise he will likely wait for someone to come for him.
