"Tomaru, get out of there!"

I wanted to check for invisible, but I don't have anything that allows me to.
How high is the ceiling here? My idea is to use Stone Shape from the Staff of Heaven and Earth to capture them inside of a column of stone. Move first, though.
Otherwise, smack one then move.

Thordak Ironheart |

I've no idea what they are.
Eyes going wide in shock, they immediately reform to a glare. "Back off ya blasted... whatever ya are! Get back, lad!" The dwarf's anger rises rapidly, as usual, and he moves in toward the nearest beast with amazing speed hoping to, at the very least, make it think twice.

Unable to see what's going on but hearing the sound of combat and seeing Thordak move in, Aurora flies in to the new room. Quickly taking stock she brings forth force darts and sends them spiraling in to the creature closest to Thordak.

Lym floats down to the floor and looks into the next room. If she can spot one of the dog-things, she hurls a Force Dart at it!
Force dart for unerring 1d4 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 3 = 8 damage.

Old Guy GM |

Thordak's axe takes a chunk from one, as Lym and Aurora's magic hits it. It staggers backwards, then the stone column rises up and traps them.
Or so you may think...
ROUND TWO: hounds, then group.
The two remaining hounds suddenly appear in the angle created by the column and the floor. They leap into the air and place themselves out of Thordak's reach and out of Praxim's line of sight. The hounds turn their alien eyes on the flying Aurora. The gnome feels her reality ripping and tearing as they stare at her. With some effort, she resists the effects, leaving her sweating and shaking. No game effect, just visual.

Still know what these are, Lym?

Lym Blackhand |

Cursing under her breath, Lym fires another Force Dart at the beast that looks most injured!
Force Dart for 1d4 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 3 = 8 force damage!

Thordak Ironheart |

Looking up in fury, "Get down here so I can kill ya easier, ya blasted death dogs! I cannot reach ya way up there!" Looking around for something, he sighs. "Will you lot please remind me ta acquire some throwin' weapons. When we've got cheaters like this lot," he motions toward the flying wolf creatures with a nod, "it just takes away all me fun."

I finally use that stupid staff and its a fail. I'm going to break this thing right after this fight.
"They are not out of reach. You just need to think happy thoughts." Cast Fly on Thordak. "Remember, happy thoughts. I'm sure it will be better than last time."

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

Shuddering as their terrible gazes pass over her, Aurora's eyes go wide and she reacts purely on instinct, and dual ribbons of fire leap forth from her own eyes and lash out at the two demonic canines.

Aurora twists and turns but cannot avoid the rending claws of the canine creature, her blood spattering the floor beneath her.
She beats her wings furiously and shifts sideways, enough to get space to summon another ribbon of fire and toss it like a loop over the thing's head.

All good! I don't know how it got there actually, would make much more sense to have it at the end of the first stat line... will move it for next time if I remember!

Thordak gives a nod to the healer, Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts, and heads straight for the demon dog that's still left.

"Good job, all," Lym says. "Well done! Now.... does anyone see anything in there that looks like it might fit that blasted door-lock?"

Thordak Ironheart |

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

Once we're done healing up, perhaps those double doors over there should be next...
Aurora prepares herself to enter the room as soon as someone else opens the door and moves through.

Thordak Ironheart |

Nodding at Tomaru, "Thanks, lad. That feels a whole ton better." He works a few of the kinks out of his arms and shoulders and readies to move on. Popping his neck in one direction and then the other, "Alright, I'm ready. Let's move."
Double doors sounds good to me.
Hp's 148/148

Lym Blackhand |

Lym mutters the Word to grant herself magical sight, and rises up above the doors so she will not immediately be seen by anyone beyond them.
Detect magic on!

Thordak Ironheart |

Doing anything special before opening doors?
Not to my knowledge. Just opening them up and seeing what we've won, Monty. ;)

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

If Praxim detects evil in this room then Aurora will cast Mirror Image before the party enter, otherwise she's good as she is.

Old Guy GM |

Haven't heard anything additional besides the above, so here we go...
Thordak opens the doors...and the room is blocking with a thick fog...you can see all of 5'.
Now what?

Tomaru |

Summon Monster V
"I can take care of this. I think." Tomaru again uses the Staff of Heaven and Earth. With the staff he can Control the Winds and he causes as potent a gale as he can (severe) to blow the fog away, further into the room.

Old Guy GM |

Excellent! You can now see. The maps are updated, and you can read the spoiler! There are two maps. The first is the normal battle map we use. The second slide shows the elevations of the room.
Praxim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

ROUND ONE: Mokmurian goes, then the PCs.
A deep, guttural voice speaks words of power. Another fog, this one much, much thicker appears in front of you again!
This is a Solid Fog, doubles movement costs, can't see past 5'. You've gotten enough to see the map and read the spoiler, but note that right now you can NO LONGER see into the room. You guys are up!

Tomaru |

The winds continue to blow (and they are just strong enough to blow away the fog in 1 round).
"Thordak, stay close to me. I can get you right up on him (next round)"

You just saw generally where he was standing. Not enough to target him without a 50% miss chance. You could of course wait until the fog clears. Same answer for spells.

Lym Blackhand |

Lym starts to mutter a spell under her breath and holds position.
Summon monster III

Thordak Ironheart |

The winds continue to blow (and they are just strong enough to blow away the fog in 1 round).
"Thordak, stay close to me. I can get you right up on him (next round)"
Nodding, "Sounds good ta me, lad." He then waits for the magical jump from the healer.
Delay

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

As the room clears of fog and the party sight their objective at last, Mokmurian becomes all Aurora can see, until more fog comes rushing back to occlude him from her vision.
Growling, she brings the fire.
I don't need to see you ogre...
She throws two flaming spheres in to the room at his last seen location

Aurora, you would to fly into the room to cast in his area with the elevation he's at and the restricted height of the door way. I moved you in , let me know if you don't want to be there. Elevation in this fight matters. Make sure you check both maps!
ref save: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
ref save: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
The second fog clears and Praxim attacks. Two arrows score solid hits, but two others bounce off of Mokmurian's defenses. Aurora's spells create a heat wave and the giant looks hurt...but not as bad as you would expect.
ROUND TWO: Mokmurian goes, then you all. Aurora, I really need to know if you are going in the room. Tomaru, I assume your action is spent dispersing the second fog?

Tomaru |

I'm misunderstanding the rounds here.
Pre-Combat: Thordak opens door. There is a fog there. Tomaru clears fog.
Round 1: Room is re-fogged. Tomaru clears fog again.
Round 2: ??? Tomaru can act again?
Also please disregard that Summon Monster from post above. I decided to go with the staff instead.

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

Aurora moves in to the room if she can't target the giant without doing so!
