Some are and some are not for me. Strange. Certain ones when I read them clear. Others do not.
EDIT - for instance when I read this thread, it cleared. But when I checked the Gameplay it did not.
RE-EDIT - when I click on the thread name (Gameplay, Discussion, etc.) in the Campaigns tab, they seem to clear. If I go in through the x-new link the Gameplay does not. They might be fixing and updating as I speak which is why it is inconsistent.

Gear and character were created before we started your campaign. I have to look back at traits when I get off of work on herolabs, but I think the increased starting gold was due to a trait. The composite longbow is neither mswk nor magical. The +1 is due to strength (composite shortbow). Either way, I will run the numbers tonight and clear them with you. Everything I currently own was cleared by the previous GM and I just figured you checked our crunches when he switched.
Edit: Looked up trait-Boarded in Cheliax
While you aren’t necessarily a native of Cheliax, you boarded the Jenivere at one of that country’s port cities. As the people of Cheliax generally know the Mwangi Expanse as a near legendary land home to strange beasts and exotic treasures, your views of the region have a distinctly romantic tinge, and the desire for fame, wealth, and adventure likely motivate your travels. You begin the campaign with a detailed map of the Mwangi Expanse (this grants +2 competence bonus on all Knowledge [geography] checks made regarding this region) and 200 gp worth of mundane equipment to aid your exploration of the jungle.

What my RL group sometimes does if we are out in the wild without access to shops or whatnot is to have the character(s) make Profession: Herbalist rolls to "earn" gold, which represents ingredients for potions. My GM can be a little bit of stickler though and it makes potion brewing a lot harder in the wild. On the other hand, it is the only magic crafting that he allows to gather materials in the wild, otherwise we have to declare what items we are buying materials for when we are in more civilized areas.

What does the party want to do next? This is a good point to discuss your future plans.
You've made friends with Jask and recovered anything of value from the ship. If you can convince 2 NPC's to collect food and water, they should be able to provide enough for the whole group. (Jask has volunteered for this).
Next, you need to plan out shelter. Do you plan on coming back here every night, or will you build new shelters each day as you travel.

Aren't we fairly close to the top of the crescent? If so, Nngara would advise checking the area to the west from where we are, and then some of the area to the east. Once we have cleared an area, then we can find a safe place to move the camp to. After we move camp, then we repeat and continue down the island until we get to the lighthouse or are rescued.

Linard can also memorize Endure Elements which will allow him to travel in heavy armor as well. Just depends on how many spells we want to use up on environmental protection.
I recall the Player's guide advising against heavy armour for various reasons.

I don't think that while we explore the jungle it will be very hot all day. First of all there should be plenty of shade, then there is the magical water. Having previosly attempted to run this book, I seem to remember that it devoted quite a bit of text to specify when the Fortitude saves would kick in, and when they wouldn't. I think that for an overland travel, we could just say we stop for a rest when we get too hot, and resume when the heat fades, averaging out the movement speed to slower than normal. It's only when we are doing rounds in the hot conditions that the Fortitude saves come into play.
Also, have we assigned the camp roles to the NPCs, other than Jask?

GM Nix |

It's going to get very hot (e.g. Fortitude Saves) starting at noon, until it starts raining. As long as you get out of the sun and don't exert yourselves, you can skip the checks.
Assuming you're up at 8, doing morning rituals until 9, you have 3 hours travel time. You can travel in the rain, but there are perception penalties.

Hello all, I am out of the hospital and back home now. Thank you all for the kind words. I am doing alright so far, but it could take about 6 months to fully heal.
Between the follow up tests that I need and the family visiting for the Holidays, I will be very busy through New Years. (Although I expect that everyone will be busy for the Holidays.)
I'll try to get some kind of update going for the interim, though I don't expect to be able to start posting until January 2nd or 3rd.

Get well and spend your time with the family. Post when you can. You said that this would not be the fastest campaign and I believe we all understand this. When the New Year gets here, we can pick up the speed as we all are able,

Flykiller has not posted on any thread since 1/9/13. His Way of the Wicked campaign has recruited a new DM to replace him. I say DMPC him for now and if he does not appear in a week or two, we can recruit a replacement.
