@Linard: Do you have your prepared spells selected? It looks like there is a placeholder there to me.

Cleric Spells Prepared (CL 1, 1 melee touch, 2 ranged touch):
1 (2/day) Remove Sickness (DC 15), Floating Disk, Bless
0 (at will) Detect Poison, Purify Food and Drink (DC 14), Create Water

This is not a placeholder, this is what Linard actually has.

I just saw that the current monster is based on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurypterid

I put an image up on Google Drive showing the scene as well.

No map?

Or do you want me to make one.

There wasn't one in the book, and I didn't think to find/make one earlier.

Do you know some good large textures which I can use Gimp on?

Due to the maintenance tonight, (I am currently UTC+2), I don't think I'll get a chance to put a full round update in until tomorrow.

I prefer using photoshop for my map making and editing needs

As for mapping utilities, I keep hoping that Game Space will come out soon. They said they hope to have an update this week, but will start with a limited beta.

I'll have to put the update together after work tonight.

Additionally, I will be going to the Spiel convention this weekend, so I won't be posting very much from Friday to Sunday.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

No problem - have fun.

As a question, where are you located? From the name of the convention and your timezone, I have to assume Deutschland somewhere - or Osterreich/ die Schweiz.

I currently live in Germany.

Nice, I was an exchange student there many years ago.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

And he can still say some words in German :)

If you haven't already, you may need to send me an email address to send an invite to.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Sorry, all I have time to put up tonight. Will post more tomorrow.

NOOO!!!! Bejis, come back. We need you to overthrow the House of Thrune.

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

I am getting married in the next week and then honeymooning in St Lucia. So my posting will be intermediate to say the least until November 6th. Sorry for any inconvenience it causes anyone. I will be able to update the next few days, but will disappear for a while after that for a while. It is not due to lack of interest obviously.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Let us know when you are leaving. As the campaign is new, it will be tough to NPC you to character, but either one of us can run you, or DM Nix can DMPC you. I would only say that you should type how you plan on your character's personality to be so that we can try to have him work in the same way.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Congratulations. Be sure to take some time to simply look around and build memories. You're going to get pulled in many different directions at once, so you need to make sure you give yourself a chance to stop and absorb the day.

Be sure to leave some directions/motivations for Kalis. For the most part, I just let the group ask the missing player's character to help as out needed.

And when you get back, you can fill us on what's it's like to be on a tropical island. ;)

Congratulations! Have a lot of fun!

Off for the weekend. I'll only have the phone with me. (No real keyboard.)

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

Kalis is typically pretty stoic and oriented on getting things done to insure everyone's survival. He does have sense of humor though, and will smile and crack jokes when things are calm and safe. He has a lot of confidence in his own abilities. He isn't afraid to speak his mind and is usually very blunt about what he thinks.

HP: 35/35, AC: 18:12:16, CMD: 20 Saves: 5:3:2 +2Enchant Skills: Dip: +7, Per +11, Sense +9, Stealth, +7,

Polygot is not a langauge appearantly,
it's a rogue talent: "Guileful Polyglot"
So I think some editing is in order.

"Polyglot" is listed as a language in the NPC stat blocks.

HP: 35/35, AC: 18:12:16, CMD: 20 Saves: 5:3:2 +2Enchant Skills: Dip: +7, Per +11, Sense +9, Stealth, +7,

I don't think Polyglot is supposed to be a PC language,
given it's not listed in the Linguistics skill.

The fact that it's listed only in the NPC stat blocks, is for GM customisation.

Looks at the word itself
Poly = many
glot = language.

so it's not supposed to be a PC language, but an insurance that a NPC knows a language so it can talk to a PC.

It might be that it's not under the OGL/SRD. I'll have to check the Campaign Setting book later.

HP: 35/35, AC: 18:12:16, CMD: 20 Saves: 5:3:2 +2Enchant Skills: Dip: +7, Per +11, Sense +9, Stealth, +7,

Found it in the ISWG

Polyglot: The dialects of the Mwangi share enough

Polyglot is the collective name given to numerous dialects of the Mwangi tribesfolk inhabiting central and western Garund. Surprisingly, the various tribes can generally understand each other, and it is believed all the dialects are derived from an unknown root language. [1] Polyglot is spoken mainly in the Mwangi Expanse, the Shackles and Sargava.

Jayem got it as a bonus language from his campaign trait, and anyone from Mwangi has good reason to know it.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Kalis and I are both Mwangi elves, thus the reason I took it and I assume why he knows it.

@Valeria: Polyglot is going to be very common. Do you have an interest in adding it to your language list?

HP: 35/35, AC: 18:12:16, CMD: 20 Saves: 5:3:2 +2Enchant Skills: Dip: +7, Per +11, Sense +9, Stealth, +7,

since she grew up far away from the Mwangi expanse and lived in Magnimar for half- her life, I don't think she would start knowing it.

after a few levels she might learn it with the linguistics skill.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Which she? Nngara lived in the Mwangi jungle for nearly 100 years. She was only a slave in Cheliax for about 20 years.

Albino Jungle Dwarf Alchemist 1) (Perc +4; Init +2; HP 11/11; AC15,T12,FF13; CMD 15; F+4,R+4,W+0 (+2 vs spells&poison)

Just so its clear: I'm not trying to exclude anyone or cause party conflict. Jayem has had little contact with the outside world, and as such, his mastery of Common(Taldane) is ... incomplete. He comes from circumstances that make it difficult for him to trust people, and I am playing him as slowly getting more comfortable with all of you. So far, the only person he really doesn't like is the NPC gnome Gelik. He is much more fluent in his native tongue and will make small talk in that. He still discusses big, important details in common so everyone can hear.

I like the flavor!

Nngara simply does not particularly like Common, which she views as a language of the devils in Cheliax. She understands it perfectly but never put the effort in to truly master it. Other languages including her native elvish and the Polygot tongue of the Mwangi she is fluent in.

Jayem - at least you do not speak with a Scottish accent like 90% of dwarves on these boards. Lol.

Init +3, Perception +5, AC 18/13/15, CMD 15, HP 8, Fort 0/Ref 5/ Will 1

I think using linguistics to add it would be great. I'll try to do this. Since we are heading to the Mwangi Expanse, Harper would work with Nngara and the others to understand it!

Albino Jungle Dwarf Alchemist 1) (Perc +4; Init +2; HP 11/11; AC15,T12,FF13; CMD 15; F+4,R+4,W+0 (+2 vs spells&poison)

We teach di Harpah. Di jungah speek is easy speek, no like di speek of di north men.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

For 20 year I hear nothing but tongue of north. Is tongue of devil summon people. I think is tongue of evil men. Tongue of jungle is beautiful. Is tongue of many people with great history.

Init +3, Perception +5, AC 18/13/15, CMD 15, HP 8, Fort 0/Ref 5/ Will 1

It would be an honor to learn your native tongue Jayem.

Linard takes offense at Nngara's comment.
"The tongue of the north was spoken centuries before the devil-summoners usurped it. This tongue traces its past to the god Aroden himself."

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Nngara simply shrugs. But for me is tongue I hear as Cheliax evil men call hell devils. For me is not beautiful tongue. Jungle tongue is beautiful.

Why are we having this rather strange conversation in the OOC?

It's in-character, but not quiet in-story.

Albino Jungle Dwarf Alchemist 1) (Perc +4; Init +2; HP 11/11; AC15,T12,FF13; CMD 15; F+4,R+4,W+0 (+2 vs spells&poison)

Dotting

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Before people go around dotting all their campaigns again. The Sys Admins posted that they have to run one more program which should clear up the "x-new", dotting, and other similar issues. They have not run it because they discovered a bug which had not shown up in the testing of this update. I believe it should be done by later tonight.

Campaign tab seems fixed for me. Dots, x-new, working fine now.
