*click* By pressing this button you agree to: not kill, dismember, behead, or otherwise molest the mortals-in-training within; not to harm, hinder or harass the alu-demon-atrixes training the mortals; not to plunder, pillage or ransack any of the treasure hordes or libraries of Lady Ismiara, and under NO circumstances ever to descend below the 4th level of the complex. And also, that you may only leave the Shrine of Rest and Fullfillment with Lady Ismiara's express permission. *click*

"The terms sound reasonable enough," the Lady comments. "With the exception of the last, I would certainly expect all of my own guests to practice the most basic of decencies."
Let's do this, crew! Into the Shrine!
Hey Knut, can I call upon you for a long-lasting barkskin, now that it looks like Lady Gabrielle is our melee PC?

Sandin Graysmire |

I would find these terms agreeable as long as we received the express permission to leave prior to our entry, if she is willing to grant us permission to leave at will then I think we can agree to the terms. Of course all deals must be in writing and agreed to by our paladin friend.

![]() |

"Unfortunately, we have nothing with which to bargain for an exception to the terms. Also, by calling for an exception, we reveal that we are not ordinary guests," the Lady explains, before taking on a playful tone. "I also believe that we have a wizard, a point which implies that we do not require permission to leave."

"You were much more confident before we stepped through the portal, a confidence we have chosen to believe in for the duration of our journey," she explains, before she lowers her chin, looking up at Sandin from above the frames of her glasses. "During my time in Oppara, I witnessed many instances of cold feet. I assure you that right now, Sandin, the chill you are feeling is the fault of the temperature."
To move us along...
She pushes the button before turning towards the door, adopting the smile of an excited guest.
+5 AC! Sweet, thank you Knut!

![]() |

As you press the button again the door slides open. It's an elevator of some sort. You all step into the small space. The floor glows with a bluish light and you are teleported down into the bowels of DOMANIX ANNULI.
MAP UPDATED. Position yourselves then roll init! That way I can see who is still playing for sure, haha!
You are in a large chamber. A statue of a mighty warrior dominates the room. That is, dominates it almost as much as the white haired warrior who stands before you!
Only the worthy may enter this bastion of Ismiara's Pleasure!!!
He charges you! It's time to fight: General Irentios!

Elros of Amrothe' |

"Please note that her pushing that button does not denote acceptance of the terms and conditions by ME." Elros stated out loud to any interested parties as Gabrielle pushed the shiny red candy like button. Repeatedly.
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Spotting the white haired warrior, Elros stepped forward and right, to clear his line of fire.
"I suggest that you do not." Elros stated to him in the most menacing tone he can. Intimidation: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Elros uses his paladin ability to Detect Evil at-a-glance on the white haired warrior.

Valena Rentir |

Initiative: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Valena, still somewhat relieved Elros didn't try to pick a fight with a Lord Of Hell, is practically relieved to find only one opponent before them. She reacts quickly to his challenge and readies herself for combat.

Sandin Graysmire |

edit ninja'd
Not quite what I was expecting Sandin thinks to himself, was thinking more pleasure and less fighting.

Sandin Graysmire |

Sandin walks up 10 feet and casts fear, crushing the heart of a hen in his hand.
DC 28 will save or be panicked for 20 rounds (CL 20 on necromancy spell from FCB). A successful save means shaken for one round.
On my phone can someone move me?
Lets see the type of man this guy is. See if he can handle a little fear. Or if he runs like a child.

![]() |

crushing the heart of a hen in his hand
haha, Sandin is one sick mo-fo. will vs fear: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 29

Elros of Amrothe' |

Round 1__________________________
Elros Readies an action.
IF the General advances or attacks, Elros will fire on him.
Point blank shot,
lightning bow shot: 1d20 + 24 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 24 + 1 = 34 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 1 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 1 + 2 + (2) = 13 piercing, magic, trait and lightning damage.
Ah, minimum damage! That will surely intimidate him now!

![]() |

Lady Gabrielle steps forward to address the General. "We are guests who have agreed to your Lady's terms. Perhaps Isimara would prefer to judge us herself?" she puts forth, gesturing beyond with her fan.
Enter Crane Style, move forward, and ready action to attack the General defensively if he comes within 5'...
Fan, defensively: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (4) + 29 = 33 for damage: 1d4 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
If her attack happens, her AC rises to 48, +5 vs the General's melee attacks. She'll add +4 to AC for the first attack against her.

You want to see Lady Ismiara, do ya? You want to enjoy the pleasures of my mistress' house? You wanna eat the fruits of the pleasures of the abyss? Well first ya gotta learn how to take a little PAIN, cause there ain't no way you'll be able to satisfy my mistress unless you can take a little PAIN! Like THIS!
The General closes the distance to Sandin with frightening speed.
power attack VS Sandin!: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (5) + 32 = 37 for lots of damage plus fire!: 1d20 + 19 + 1d6 ⇒ (15) + 19 + (6) = 40

Valena Rentir |

Valena stares intensely at the General, dark words being muttered under her breath. With every word, she broke down his will, weakening his resolve, slowing his reactions.

ALright. Then Knute will first use his own Evil eye on the general, for -4 to Ac DC=28 and then chant a soft prayer to Iomedea. Misfortune is extended one more round.

Elros of Amrothe' |

Round 2___________________________
”I humble apologize for the disrespect General.” Said Elros as he nodded his head.
”Smite Evil!” He called out. An unearthly silvery fire erupted around him as he stepped to the right and unloaded a full point blank rapid shot manyshot smite attack into the General.
The arrows look like silvery comets as they crash into the General.
Lightning bow Manyshot(two arrows) Atk #1: 1d20 + 24 + 1 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 24 + 1 - 2 + 6 = 39 for a possible 1d8 + 1d8 + 7 + 7 + 1 + 1 + 16 + 16 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (6) + 7 + 7 + 1 + 1 + 16 + 16 + (1) + (5) = 61 piercing, good, smite and lightning damage. DR does not protect.
Lightning bow Rapid Shot attack: 1d20 + 24 + 1 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 24 + 1 - 2 + 6 = 38 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 1 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 + 16 + (2) = 32 piercing, good, smite and lightning damage. DR does not protect.
Lightning bow attack #2: 1d20 + 19 + 1 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 19 + 1 - 2 + 6 = 29 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 1 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 + 16 + (4) = 34 piercing, good, smite and lightning damage. DR does not protect.

Lightning bow attack #4: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 1 - 2 + 6 = 34 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 1 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 + 16 + (5) = 35 piercing, good, smite and lightning damage. DR does not protect.
...Crit Confirm?: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 1 - 2 + 6 = 31 for a possible extra2d8 + 14 + 2 + 32 ⇒ (8, 8) + 14 + 2 + 32 = 64 piercing, good, and smite damage. DR does not protect.

Sandin Graysmire |

Not wanting to stand next to this general guy who hits like a truck Sandin withdraws to behind the pool of water behind him. On my phone if someone will move me to the other side of the pool of water.

![]() |

Crykie. Elros' mighty lightening arrows riddle the general hard. (-128 damage). General Irentios stumbles but is still standing.
will vs slumber: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 2 = 9 At least he WAS standing. Swaying for a moment, the great General Irentios falls face first, like Goliath, onto the stone floor. You hear a heavy heavy snoring coming from him.
1x potion of barkskin (CL 12th),
3x potions of cure serious wounds,
1x potion of fly;
+5 mithral full plate,
+1 heavy crossbow with 20 bolts,
+1 flaming burst greataxe,
+1 short sword,
masterwork flail,
belt of giant strength +4,
cape of the mountebank,
ring of protection +2
Now you can:
-Decide what to do with the General,
-Explore the rest of this room,
-Check out the giant double doors of Lunar Stone to the north, which the General was apparently guarding, and which have images of explicit acts between succubi and mortals carved in stark relief upon them.

![]() |

"He appears to have been someone important," the Lady comments.
Knowledge(any): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29 Perhaps Lady Gabrielle knows something from his appearance or heraldry?
After considering the fallen General, she would be glad to look about the rest of the room.

![]() |

Exploring the room, your attention is drawn to the statue. It is of General Irentios himself, and the inscription reads: To my beloved Irentios, for your faithful service this past year. Love, Ismiara.

Sandin Graysmire |

perception: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (18) + 25 = 43 It looks like that statue may move, there are some scratches along the ground. As Sandin points this out he pulls out a pin and pricks his arm drawing a single drop of blood. He wipes the blood with his finger casting a spell on himself. False Life: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

![]() |

She brushes aside a fold of the General's cloak, revealing an insignia. "That was unexpected," she says. "He is a general of Mendev, one of Queen Galfrey's close lieutenants. He must have come here rather recently. I wonder what this means for the efforts in the Worldwound."
She adjusts her glasses and looks to the statue. "Perhaps a hidden passage lies beyond it?" she asks.

Elros of Amrothe' |

It was difficult, letting go of the power to Smite. Elros' arm trembled holding the draw, but he could not simply shoot the man as he slept. The silver fire of his aura guttered and died, and he slowly let down his drawn bow.
He took a deep breath.
"A Mendevian General? Could he have been taken and dominated?"

![]() |

Lady Gabrielle will hang onto the Cape of the Mountebank if all are all right with that. She bundles it up, then slips it into the folds of her dress, where it seems to vanish.
"It would be preferable if we were to bring Irentios back to his Queen. She likely misses him, and his mental ailment might prove treatable," she recommends. "We should consider his case a warning. Even the most willful of minds can be corrupted by this place."
She would like to investigate the statue for anything hidden. Perception 45.

Sandin Graysmire |

Sandin takes a very close look at the objects in the general's possession. He is specifically looking for items like a helm of opposite alignment, or anything that could cause his behavior. Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (2) + 33 = 35

![]() |

Gabi considers the sculpture for a long time.
Sandin does not note any arcane reason the great General would act this way. Which is all the spookier. If the succubus Ismiara brain washed him the old fashion way she must have some serious torture techniques at her disposal. Lord knows what such terrors you might find should you dare to continue to explore the Domanix Annuli.

Sandin Graysmire |

He does not appear to have been under and form of magical coercion. Wich begs the question, what could have caused his fall?

Knut das Auge |

Looking at Sandin Knut just shrugs..."Hybris! The idea that a mortal can play with the enduring and come on top. The slime of the abyss is soo good in playing with mortal vanities."

![]() |

"If we wish to rescue the Professor, appears that we have no other choice but to play with them and hope for the best," the Lady comments. "Are we all ready to continue?" she asks, gesturing to the door and the sounds that come from behind it.
onward!

![]() |

With a push the doors open. You find a massive room filled with plush couches and pillows. Here mortals lie about, puffing on hookas, in a daze or trance of sorts. Two winged female demons walk around the room, quietly correcting the mortals, coaxing them into various lewd positions and speaking words of encouragement. As you enter the two winged Alu-demons look up. Ah, visitors, from outside. Welcome the THE FOYER OF MANY PLEASURES!
You look around at the walls. They are indeed covered with such Shelynite carvings. But a successful
An arched doorway to the next room lies beyond this one.

Knut das Auge |

Looking around and seeing Blasphemy galore Knuts eyes seem to cloud over.I will burn this to the..... we are here for the professor, remember. Seeing 2 slimes of he alu-demon kind approach he shrinks like a young child at the sight of spinach.
