Release my sister Zvetlana and I shall accomodate youre "request"

Elros of Amrothe' |

Round 4____________________
Elros continued to concentrate on Katyana, taking a step in her direction.
Full attack on Katyana, Hasted, Deadly Aim, Manyshot. He squelched his bows lightning damage.
Longbow Manyshot(two arrows) Atk #1: 1d20 + 24 - 5 ⇒ (17) + 24 - 5 = 36 for a possible 1d8 + 1d8 + 7 + 7 + 10 + 10 ⇒ (6) + (3) + 7 + 7 + 10 + 10 = 43 Magic and Piercing damage.
Longbow Hasted Atk: 1d20 + 24 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 24 - 5 = 25 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 10 = 21 Magic and Piercing damage.
Longbow atk #2: 1d20 + 19 - 5 ⇒ (11) + 19 - 5 = 25 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 10 = 18 Magic and Piercing damage.
Longbow atk #3: 1d20 + 14 - 5 ⇒ (16) + 14 - 5 = 25 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 10 = 23 Magic and Piercing damage.
Longbow atk #4: 1d20 + 9 - 5 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 5 = 23 for a possible 1d8 + 7 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 10 = 19 Magic and Piercing damage.
...Crit Confirm?: 1d20 + 9 - 5 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 5 = 16 for a possible extra 2d8 + 14 + 20 ⇒ (2, 3) + 14 + 20 = 39 Magic and Piercing damage.

Katyana falls from the sky with a pittyful wail, riddled with magic arrows. Even on the moon her body hits the deck with a sickening thud. Nadezdha howls in angst. Sister! My dear sister! Nadezdha will attempt to flea the battle...AoO if you want. You will probably kill her! otherwise she will fly away toward the east.

![]() |

Does Valena threaten now that she's awake? If so, Lady Gabrielle will take an AO for nonlethal damage.
If Valena does threaten...
Unarmed Strike, nonlethal: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (17) + 29 = 46 for nonlethal: 1d6 - 2 + 6d6 ⇒ (6) - 2 + (4, 2, 5, 2, 5, 5) = 27

![]() |

Hm. I'm a merciful GMess, but she's fallen prone due to her passing-of-the-out. She must take a round to get up. So I don't see how she threatens. Nadezdha's light on HP, but I understand Nonleathal to be a separate counter, right? You'll have to quickly incapacitate her if you want to take her alive. Otherwise she will be back later in the module to avenge Sandin's vile corruption of her sisters' body and Elros' unmerciful pincousioning of her other sister's other body...

![]() |

Heh, that sounds cooler than dropping her right here! Lady Gabrielle will let her go, then.

Snow falls. The temperature drops. DC15 Survival check (unless you have other means of resisting the colds effects, which will of course be honored.)
readaloud:
You travel east through the lunar jungle landscape. Eventually You come to a great tor of black stone,
which towers into the sky above. As it rises toward the stars, the stone darkens and gains a glassy sheen, ending in a tall, thin tower high above-a shimmering spire of porphyry and obsidian. The stars are mirrored in the glassy sides of the spire, as though in supplication to the heavens.
some features that draw your attention:
1. A winding stair climbs the stone tower, spiraling around it, leading to the wide double doors into the imposing structure, about half way up.
2. In a clearing before the steps, a natural stone pillar of speckled bloodstone rises. From the pillar hangs a pair of manacles encrusted in glowing runes. A single sigil has been etched into the stone above the restraints, and emanates a low thrumming sound when approached. Perhapse someone with knowledge of the planes or linguistics could tell you more.

Sandin Graysmire |

Sandin enjoys the natural resistance to cold offered by the body he inhabits. He is a little worried about how his real body is fairing. deadish body fort: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Snapping back to reality Sandin wracks his brain for clues on the scene before him. knowledge plains: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (15) + 31 = 46
linguistics : 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (19) + 29 = 48

![]() |

"That is a rather imposing sight," the Lady comments as she gestures towards the manacles.

Sandin Graysmire |

I think it is saying, "Come Miglargu", what that means, I have no idea. It is definitely abyssal. I wonder who or what Miglargu is. As he says this he pulls out a piece of paper and writes the name down on it. He folds up the paper and places it back in his pocket.

![]() |

Did someone say my name? a soft voice coos from behind you. You spin around to see a man with nice spanish go-tee, little red horns, and a nice count-chocula style cape. Hm, the devilish man says. Usually when I am summoned here there is a nice gentelman or noble lady shackled for me. But I am indeed intrigued by this turn of events. He takes a flourishing court bow. I am Miglaru, at your service.

Sandin Graysmire |

Sandin pauses for a moment looking over the being that stands before him.
I saw that coming, but normally I have to use a spell to do that. ;)
Knowledge Plains: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (20) + 31 = 51What are we dealing with here?
Looking for auras with arcane sight. Spending a standard action to determine if he has any spell casting abilities, whether they are arcane or divine and what is the highest level of spell/spell like ability he has.
spelcraft: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (9) + 29 = 38
spelcraft: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (15) + 29 = 44
spelcraft: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (10) + 29 = 39
spelcraft: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (14) + 29 = 43
spelcraft: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (4) + 29 = 33
spelcraft: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (10) + 29 = 39
If I need more spellcrafts for more auras let me know or roll at a +29 ;)

![]() |

Knowledge Planes: Sandin knows Miglaru is not a demon. He is a devil. One, in fact, of the principle devils of the Asmodean court. You know this being is very very dangerous. But then again, so are you guys!
arcane sight reveals but two magic auras upon the being:
-strong divination aura coming from the "man's" left hand. A ring perhaps.
-very strong conjuration magic coming from his cape.
And that He does have spell casting abilities. Very divine ones.
Are you not going to introduce yourselves? Surely suck folks as yourselves have better manners than that! Miglaru does not seem upset, simply amused.

Sandin Graysmire |

Apologies, We are here on behalf of a mutual friend, I must say I did not expect to see such a powerful infernal presence here amongst the chaos of the Abyss. Now of course names are very important aren't they for now you may call me Mr. Black. I am curious what brings you so far from your home. Mr. Miglaru is it?
What do I know of Miglaru? Is there a devil type he is similar to or is he beyond that?
Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (1) + 31 = 32
Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (13) + 31 = 44
Also should know the spell level of his highest spell or spell like ability.

![]() |

Lord, actually. You may call me Lord Miglaru. And i come here from time to time, when Ismiara has a gift to offer me: a poor sod from her harem that displeases her. lord Miglaru rubs his tummy. I just get so hungry sometimes!

![]() |

Lady Gabrielle considers this "Miglaru..."
Knowledge(Planes): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
I have nice angle, and what Lady Gabrielle knows will have an effect.
"I can certainly understand the feeling, Lord Miglaru. Sometimes I feel as if I could eat an entire pheasant," the Lady says in greeting, the gentle waves of her fan adding a hint of animation to her speech. "You have piqued my curiousity," she continues. "Just how long have you served your Lady Isimara in this manner?"
So, new portraits, eh?

Sandin Graysmire |

Ah yes of course, my apology.

![]() |

Just how long have you served your Lady Isimara in this manner?
Miglaru laughs "good"-naturedly. What? Me serve her? Ah, ahaha! I see you have a sense of humor! No, no, I only come to collect these live offerings. Ismiara owes me a, shall we say, debt, of a sort. For services rendered long ago. But that is not important now. Unless you REALLY must know THAT story, haha!

![]() |

1d20 + 42 ⇒ (5) + 42 = 47
A deal? Oh I love deals. What, Mr. Black, do you propose? And do not attempt to decieve me. I know that lucious body doesn't belong to you. I have known Zvetlana for eons. How perfectly lovely to see such a tight possession of a body by an alien spirit! May I ask what you have done with her soul?

Valena Rentir |

Since I became stable of my own accord, after an hour, I get to make a Con check to become conscious, still at negative hp, and disabled. If it fails to meet 10, I go back to losing HP and still unconscious.
Con check: 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 3 = 4
Ok, so I go back to dying.

Elros of Amrothe' |

Elros' paladin Detect Evil at-a-glance has him reeling and bleeding at the eyes.
"A Duke of Hell? Are you insane? Why are you trying to TALK to it?" He exclaimed.
Surely we would have noticed and fixed up Valena before we moved on from the portal.
Lay on hands to Valena: 8d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 4, 4, 3, 4, 4) = 32 healed, plus eliminating any blinded, poisoned, paralyzed or sickened conditions.

Valena Rentir |

Valena steps between Elros and the devil, speaking with urgency, "Because we are here to rescue one man, and unless the esteemed Lord Miglaru has feasted upon this man, we have no true quarrel with him."
Valena spins and bows before the demon lord before continuing, "So tell us, Lord. When was the last time you dined on this desolate moon?"

![]() |

You find the "Duke of the 4th Circle" easy and smooth in conversation. He answers each of your comments in flowing speech.
How often does Isimara send you these delicious offerings, if I may ask?"
When was the last time you dined on this desolate moon?"
Oh, It's been recently. How often? Well, I take them as they come, so to speak.Which they do so quite readily in THAT place. Mwahaha!
Miglaru points up to the tower. He shudders. Domanix Annuli. Don't tell me you mortals are actually thinking of GOING IN THERE? I tell you, depravities happen in there that even I would never have thought up in my wildest Abyssal dreams.
He smiles dashingly.

![]() |

"Would you think less of me if I were to tell you that I am as curious as a cat?" the Lady asks, her voice taking on a playful tone. "Perhaps we could call upon your gentlemanly nature and request that you escort us inside? Would you take pleasure in introducing us to the residents?"

![]() |

Um, no. Me and Ismiara don't really have that kind of relationship any more. I will however give you this...
Miglaru snaps his fingers. A pamphlet appears in his hand in a puff of smoke - an almost cheesy magic display. He hands the Pamphlet to Gabi. It says:
Delroy's Guide to Domanix Annuli and it details many rooms in the complex. This may be consulted at any time for information.
Now if you will excuse me Says Miglaru, I must be off. Miglaru raises his hand to snap his fingers: doubless an inter-planar teleport spell about to be cast upon hiz-zelf.
You guys gonna let him the duke of the 4th circle of hell go????

Valena Rentir |

Valena sidesteps out of the way of Elros and his weapon. She casts him a sidelong glance and whispers, "If you still feel like picking a fight, you'd probably need to do it now."

Sandin Graysmire |

We still have a bargain to make, you might enjoy it.

Sandin Graysmire |

![]() |

The devil stops, just before snapping his fingers, at Sandin's proposal. He strokes his go-tee thoughtfully. Hm, the soul of Katyana, 3rd Sister of Vigilance, mine? Haha! The lord of the 7th circle would certainly be appalled! Do you have any idea what a bargaining chip this would be for the 4th circle?? DONE! He snaps his fingers. Katyana and the jar dissapear. Sandin, you open your eyes in your own body, freezing and shivering.

Sandin Graysmire |

Anybody have a coat, it is freezing up here Sandin says as he opens his eyes in his own body once more. If not and there are no objections, Sandin grabs his spell book and sits down for 15 minuets concentrating on memorizing a spell. He memorizes resist energy and casts it on himself.

![]() |

As Sandin wakes up Miglaru pulls out a business card and scribbles a few words on the back. He hands this to Sandin. Simply give this to my "librarian". If you make it to his desk alive. Miglaru laughs! True to his word, you receive a +4 evil boon to intel. Wonder how Elros will take all this!?
And raises his fingers to snap his exit spell again...
last chance, haha!

Sandin Graysmire |

A profane bonus does not not necessarily make me evil per se. After all I am beyond morality.

![]() |

The pamphlet appears to introduce all the pleasures to be found, room by room. Might be a useful guide as you explore You can check the pamphlet once in each new room for free information. But without ever having been in such a place as DOMANIX ANNULI you haven't been in such a place, have you gabi? it's difficult to understand what it all means. Mirrors, pillows, sensual statues, someone named Euphrixia...it's quite a pamphlet.

Elros of Amrothe' |

Even partially blinded by the aura of a Duke of Hell, Elros stood absolutely boggled at his companions trying to make DEALS with it.
He carefully touched an arrow, ready to draw, but resisted the impulse to just open up on the creature, deserving as he certainly was. They were already on a mission, and had to focus on that in spite of these... distractions.
Besides, he had serious doubts they could take 'Miglaru'. If he wasn't lying, he probably had an army or three a snap of the fingers away at the very least.
Relieved when the devil took his leave, he looked around again.
"Where else but forward unto the tower?" He looked back at his companions.
"With our luck there will be another Archdevil or three you can sell your souls to." He muttered darkly.

![]() |

you haven't been in such a place, have you gabi?
Absolutely not! An upstanding Lady of the Empire would never find herself in any place like it! Except for that one time... but that sure wasn't demonic, no-sir-ee!
"I must say, I would prefer that my soul remain right where it is," she comments, before returning to the topic of the group's next steps. "It seems that we would be best served by introducing ourselves to a lady called Euprixia," she continues, looking up from the pamphlet.

![]() |

Following the mighty Elros up the steps you have time to discuss what's happened to you so far.
Gabi your new pamphlet explains what you can expect from the first rooms in the Complex.
their charges within the building are conditioned not to leave. The black lunar glass and porphyry interior walls of the Shrine of Rest and Fulfillment are draped in erotic tapestries and paintings. Suggestive statues of black lunar stone abound, and the heady scent of highest quality frankincense fills the air. Sumptuous pillows and veiled mattresses are scattered about the shrine, painting the perfect picture of an exotic pleasure den. Here you are likely to meet yout first charmed, innocent victims of the demons, who are under the care of the succubus Euphrixia and her alu-demon daughters.
You finally reach the top. There is a call button here. It's the same color as Valena's painted fingernails! Any eagar PC can press it though, haha! MAP UPDATED.

Sandin Graysmire |

I think the question is not so much how often they receive mortal guests, but to the guests ever get to leave.

A few moments after Gabi presses it, a women's sultry voice comes through the old 60s style speaker next to the button.
