To be honest, Midnight game takes a lot of my time and I am beginning to think that I will not be able to DM both games to my and players satisfaction. I am very sorry, but I will have to end Eberron game. For those who are left without the game to play in, I can extend the offer to create characters for Midnight. That game is progressing rather well and with high death rate in Midnight and considering my plans for dividing the game later on in two or more points of view, there will be room for new characters.
Once again, I am sorry for wasting your time.
From your posts in the Midnight OOC thread, it looks like you're straining to run even that game as it is now. Last thing you need is a bunch of newbies to that thread, at least until you get stabilised a bit.
Best of luck.
Liriel.

Well was asked to put stuff here so will do.
First when the Xend'rik is up a link here please. Also would be nice to get something on the starting place and so on so could modify the background to fit.
Decision on Signature focus. Also will I be using the Dance Macabre spells instead of the Summon undead or no? (Was mentioned when talking about the conversion I am using) If summon undead I would just like to make the stats ready before the game begins.
Oh and for other players of the Xend'rik game, if you want to make some connection in the background. I would be up for figuring something out, so if so shoot a PM or something.

The Xen'drik game will start in Sharn. You will be the last-minute additions to the experimental flying ship "Darkstar One", heading to Stormreach. You are to an addition to the ship's security. You were called at the last minute, because of the sudden disappearance of some crew members.
Signature Focus is fine.
Could you please remind me where is Danse Macabre from?

I have a possible idea, but it requires some confirmation on your part that you're willing to deal with it.
1) What changes, if any, would you want to make to the drow race? The PF version is actually pretty decent, especially with the racial alternate ability that takes away the long darkvision and light sensitivity, replacing it with the standard elf low light vision, but there is still some pretty powerful abilities remaining. Ordinarily, I hate the drow (they too often come off as overpowered anti-elves), but the Xen'drik drow actually are interesting, and it's something a bit different.
2)The backstory I've come up with is something along the lines of Amiri's (Paizo's barbarian) official story. In short, his mother was captured either pregnant with him already or got pregnant as part of the rough treatment that went along with the capture, no one really knows, but died in childbirth a slave in the city of Stormreach, and passed on that condition to her son, who passed from owner to owner for much of his young life. Eventually, he came to be owned by the owner of a prize fighter ring in the shadier parts of Stormreach, and made to fight. In order to try to break Arcavic of his remaining pride, and to give the audience something a bit different, the drow slave was forced to fight with a drow long knife, but with a twist. Instead of a nonmal sized weapon, a light weapon, he was forced to fight with a long knife sized for a huge giant, making it a two handed weapon wielded only with hefty penalties. He was also given the last name giant slayer. Both of these measures were intended to humiliate their slave, but to their chagrin, the plan backfired as it forced him to unleash the barbarian inside of him; proving to be too wild to control, he was eventually sold to someone who needed strong arms for an expedition to the interior, which failed, and with most of the expedition dead, no one cared about what happened to Arcavic, he's drifted around Xen'drik and Stormreach for almost half a human lifetime now picking up whatever odd jobs he can find, and acquiring a bit of reputation amongst the drow clans near Stormreach as someone who deserves some respect; the details of his past have largely amongst the shorter lived races of Stormreach, and he does nothing to remind them.
Sorry about the length, but it's needed to understand the question, would it be possible to start with a huge weapon and pay only the normal cost? I am planning on taking Heirloom Weapon, and wondering if I can add in the additional cost for the size as if it were masterwork and that part of the trait hadn't been written out. For the other part, I would be taking the bonus to either the trip or the disarm maneuver. I won't be hurt if you say no, it's just an idea that came to my head that sounded like a fun thing to rp with while incorporating the unique history of the drow in Xen'drik.
3)The other weapon I was looking at was the drow scorpion chain (a normal sized one; having two oversized weapons would be overkill), a variant of the spiked chain that does less damage, but has a higher crit range. The conversion here is a bit tricky given that PF nerfed the spiked chain to heck, and instead of completely killing it, I was wondering if I could keep the 10 foot reach, but lose the ability to make aoos with it, much like the PF whip.
If I went with this character, I would be doing titan mauler barbarian/oracle of metal (haunted curse)/rage prophet, giving the party both divine magic and a decent melee character. If for whatever reason, it's a bit too much of the rules to allow, I can figure out some other combination that may not provide the melee capabilities, but would otherwise be along the same lines.

What do you mean by addition to the ship's security? Were we sent by a mercenary company, say the Sellswords. Or rounded up in a local tavern?
I looking at how to alter the background to get from directly from her homeland by stowaway on ship to Sharn, or continue the journey from the Sellswords fort near Mournlands.
Silian d'Thuranni |
Preference for Xen'drik
Silian d'Thuranni - Elf Druid

4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 6) = 17 16*
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 6) = 13 12
Silian has always been a brat prince, spoiled by the stations of his family (Favored in the House as bonus feat). His Dragonmark developed early (Dragonmark as first feat), and Silian has used that to his advantage in throwing his weight around the House. When the Shadow Schism took place a quarter of a century ago, Silian was thrilled that his family was making a name for themselves.
Though he is blessed with the Mark of Shadow, Silian's talents have ever lied in the ways of the natural world. During a childhood excursion, Silian was set upon by a mother blink dog defending her nest. Though the good-natured creature sought only to scare the elf, the scratches he received made him hate and lash out at the creature. The dog would have easily overpowered the elfin child had it not been for the convenient attack of a displacer beast. The feline spared Silian, admiring his cruelty towards the blink dog. As she ripped open her foe and began to consume it, she bade the young elf to take some of its hide and fur as his trophy. She introduced herself as Rylsiali, and informed the youth that she would see him again.
When House Thuranni took the very image of a displacer beast as their herald, Silian knew he was destined for something more than shadow politics. He would make his family proud, and so he set off in search of his path, letting his curiosity lead him and his family's status save him.

It seems that I have the access to the forum once again, although there are some problems with my account still. I hope that they will be resolved soon, but for now I can post. I have problems seeing new posts, though. So please, be patient. I hope that everything will be back to normal in the next few days, since it seems that my troubles were caused by Paizo changing stuff and it seems that they are almost done.

Seems to be doing the same for me. So I just keep checking the threads. The number seems to change every now and then, not sure really yet but it seems like the new posts number increases with new posts but does not mark the older one's as read.
Well either way glad to see the forums are somewhat working for you now.

Okay, the forum works for me consistently, so I think that it's time to return to the game. Or to finally start it.
So, the characters for the Xen'drik party are members of Sellswords who are asked to serve as the addition to the ship's security detail. That goes for those who start in Sharn. All the rest are free to choose their backgrounds as they wish.

Still waiting for a decision on if changing the spell. The latter fits better, but ok with making stuff easier to check.
Also boards working for me also again.
And made some minor changes to the background to include being in Sharn.

Eberron is a lot better than most setting for that particular concern. While good and evil are still there, people worry about it a lot less. As long as each character can find a reason to work with the other characters, that's all most folks worry about. Which is one reason I am willing to play a drow in Eberron; it's possible to be a somewhat darker PC without being a major problem. Arcavic isn't evil, but he's closer to evil than good, and chaotic to boot, and would not fit as well as a PC in a setting like Forgotten Realms; in Eberron, though, he actually fits quite well, as the world allows for a lot more of that grey area between the extremes of the alignments. This also makes party creation a lot easier in terms of mixed alignments; the PCs may not spend their personal time hanging out in a bar with each other, but they should be fully capable of working together.
