Nevyn, I doubt any answers to my last ideas will be positive. That's OK. I'm just trying to put myself in mileau. I am beginning to recognize that it's going to be a big challenge for Paizo to produce modules that don't railroad us to some extent in an information and tool rich techno-society.
I don't mean any of it as sniping at you, but if I get obnoxious, just slap me down.

Before I go look at the thread..... It's a learning experience for all of us at this point.
The thing with bashing your way into the ship I think is an obvious missing chunk from the rules.... There are rules in Pathfinder for beating down walls, so it's a trope that we should be able to do if we want. I'm just not sure how, and society games aren't the place to experiment.....

On the other hand, if you were to defend yourself against a boarding party in a technological society possibly the first thing you would do is isolate the main computer and delete any floor plans and so on, precisely to mitigate that risk. Having read the SF AP so far it's interesting how the mentality of crawling through a dungeon nonetheless pervades the design, which is maybe understandable. That said, they do have some computer-y stuff, but since my main style of play is to kill everything and worry about it later that bores me a bit anyway.

Of course, Magnus doesn't have any bludgeoning weapons...
Right, I may be being dense, but where are the "undead immunities" defined?
There is nothing on the Skeleton description in the scenario to implies you need to worry about B vs P damage....Except "undead immunities"

The SRD isn’t available yet is it?
Bleed, death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poisons, sleep and stunning.
Ability damage, ability drain, energy drain, exhaustion, fatigue, negative levels and non-lethal damage.
Any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect works on objects or is harmless).

Under the entry for Skeletal Undead in the alien archive it also gives them DR 5/magic and immunity to cold – not sure if these are the same monster though.

Sorry for the delay.... that post involved buying the alien archive, then tracing through it, the adventure and the core rule book to get my head around how that skill check works.....
All sorted now!

What the boss said!
Basically you run it as you normally world a PBP, then at the end you get all of the information for the chronicle sheets together send them to the players, and "report" the game as though it were a normal game. It's not a complex process.

How do you 'report' the game? Or register a game?
OK. I found it. "Register at Paizo.com" was not the most helpful instruction ever written.
And Wayf's a stone cold killer! Re-killer?
Wayf seems to have awesome luck when it comes to combat :)
(And my back story is that originally they were a stone cold assassin who has been re-booted but still has some residual memories and skills.)| Venture-Captain Arvin |
This module is written in a slightly intro kind of way, so in this section there is a list of things you *could* now do to avoid the asteroids. I don't think you lot need that list, but just in case I'll spoiler it here....

Because I am not sure I have made it clear so far, I am going to be very explicit now.
You have just entered the final one of a series of quests, the previous quests have been acquiring clues and knowledge which not only give you a good flavor for this fight, they give you mechanical advantages too.
As far as I can see you have found all but one f the clues, so have gained almost all of the mechanical advantages. So if a few things I say don't make much sense, that is probably because I haven't communicated the clues to you as well as I could when you found them.
We are in the final straight now though, and the culmination of this adventure. I am going on holiday in 2 weeks, I would love to have this wrapped and reported before then. <cue arguably Queen's best ever bass riff> ;)

I did a comparison of our ship to Lawblight. We're faster with the same maneuverability. We should be able to dictate combat range and often which arc they end up in.
Unlike the Threnody fight, our weaponry is on par with theirs. Depending on the arc and how many gunners we each have, we might even outgun them on occasion. A short range attack with 4 gunners from their side or rear arcs could be very good for us.
We wI'll have to be very careful of their heavvy torpedo however.

My caution against the heavy torpedo was based just on its damage, but was well warranted. It has a speed of 14. (Without engine help from Wayf, our top speed is 8. So at close range that torpedo is almost as good as a direct fire weapon, but it's a forward arc weapon. I need to get close and try to stay out of their forward arc by winning the helm phase initiative.
If we get them in our forward or aft arc we can have four or three gunnery attempts, respectively. I submit that if we know they'll be in one of those arcs after the next movement phase, that Korskal consider switching to gunner.

That post was an over-reaction borne of frustration. Obviously, I can post. I'm just limited with regards to what I know about my own character, especially in this game where the rules still don't flow naturally for me.
I will try to look in and make due with what's in my character sheet for the time being.
