This game slowing down a little?

I'm having a really hard time motivating to write posts for it for some reason. I think a partial reboot starting at the beginning of Book Two is in order, but I'm hesitant to suggest it so close to the holiday season. Everything's going to bog down during that couple of weeks, and it might be better to start book two properly after the New Year.

I'm ok with Roj's proposal.

I *have* slowed down a lot recently. I've gone from one full time job with plenty of opportunity to post and prep, to one full time and one on side job, with much less time to prep. I need a chance to get myself up to speed on the next book, which is a bit of a time sink. But once I've done that we should be good to go.

I'm sorry this bit has dragged a bit, this last month or so has been hectic.

Sometimes I get the motivation to provide more insight into my character. It didn't take that much longer, and it's usually worthwhile. It would have happened sooner, but Erik's spoilered question threw me for a loop. I'd honestly never considered what happened to Roj's wife.

Ok, so we haven't heard anything from Basil in a while, I've just PM'd Luke, he's been posting recently so I hope he's about. You have a pretty decent split of capabilities though among the rest of you, so I'm not too worried about bringing anyone else in. What do you think?

Sorry about the radio silence; my dot apparently disappeared, so I did not realise new posts were occurring (and had assumed that the thread was moribund). I'll try to catch up :-/

No worries Basil, these things happen, and it's still fairly slow burning.

Little bit of a delay now. I need to dig out my harrow deck and remember how to do a casting, but I'm not at home to do that effectively until Sunday....

There's a method by which you can use dice, or I could dig up my cards and PM you the casting, then let you interpret it. I, um, made a Harrow Deck with a sharpie and a deck of playing cards. I think it's still intact.

Yeah, it's not so much having the cards to hand, (they are in my bedside table!) It's the fact that I need to manipulate the reading in a way that's easy with the deck (making sure a certain suit is over-represented) and need the time to go through the meanings, and work up the reading to be something that's not just the mechanics.

This is one of the things I *really* love about this AP, and I'm indulging myself a little by making sure I have the half hour or so to spare that I need to do it properly.

You seem to be floundering a bit. You've come here, what do you aim to achieve? What questions do you need to ask to get there?

I fully admit to floundering a bit at this point. Perhaps we could regroup ooc and figure out what our objectives are? We've got Trinia out, we've healed that little girl, and now we know a plague is starting to spread... am I missing anything?

You are indeed not missing anything.

There is a bit of a lul in the action built in, which is there for the downtime activities, and Erik's investigations cover over that quite nicely. We could gloss over that fairly easily, but we have a bit of friction with you as a group deciding to do things, but no one really taking the lead.

The current meeting with the field marshall is a good example, you've interrupted her day, but now everyone has gone quiet...

I was mostly concerned that the temples wouldn't be caught unaware. Someone else suggested the Field Marshal.

To be honest, this is one of my favorite AP books, and so I've been very hesitant to drive the action. Sorry. I'll try to do more.

That's cool. I'm conscious that there isn't much action at this point, and I don't want it to wain.

Okay, so my internet is rather messed up at home, which is making posting difficult. I anticipate it'll be fixed soon, but for now, just giving an update.

Hi, everyone.

This coming week is Spring Break at my school, and it seems like a good time to take a break from pretty much every responsibility I have, so here goes.

I've been feeling very burnt out as far as my games go, so I'm going to take roughly 10 days off, give or take a couple. I've noticed it's had an impact on most of the games I'm in, and I don't want to be a downer or the reason a game isn't successful.

Please expect me back between the 10th and 12th of April. Until then, I *may* read the threads, but will almost certainly not be posting.
