Recapping.
Mitsy hits the hound, but it does not go down.
Jennix (horseless) takes both hits for 44+20. I believe Jennix goes down before he casts invisibility - Jennix?
Morrack kills three hounds.
Next up is Horseman & Horse, followed by Mitsy and Seamus' Mythic turn.
Where is the Raven's Headed magic staff? It was with you, but could have been in your saddlebags if you want.
Harakani DM |
Okay guys, check my working here. I think Morrack takes 44 and 6 fire, and Rek gets an AoO on the Nightmare.
Horseman's move. Nightmare moves on his go. Ride check 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34.
Charge Morrack. Ride-by-attack. Spirited charge. Double Damage. Morrack cannot AoO.
One attack, for double damage, from the horseman.
One attack, for normal damage, from the nightmare.
Defensive move designated on Reknarok. Reknaork cannot attack horseman with AoO, but can attack Nightmare.
horseman attack: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 21 + 2 = 39 for damage: 2d8 + 20 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 20 + (6) = 35
nightmare bite attack: 1d20 + 22 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 22 + 2 = 30 for damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (3, 2) + 10 = 15
The Nightmare charges through Morrack, leaving him devestated. He rears as he passes Mitsy, blowing thick smoke over her and Semaus DC 22 Fort save
Jennix Caerwyllien |
Yeah, Jennix would have went down before he got his Invisibility spell off or got his extra turn
A small gasp escapes Jennix's lips as he falls. Nethys save me
Morrack, Inquisitor of Abadar |
Yep, math looks correct. Morrack should have been dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Morack @ -32/114 HP. Still alive, still conscious, very very close to death.
"Uggghhh....I can't take another hit like that one!"
To the Death is really awesomely powerful. Now I just have to figure out how to survive the next round or so...
Reknarok |
AoO vs. Nightmare: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Damage if it hits: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (1) + 29 = 30
Stick around big man!! Reknarok screams at his mounted opponent.
Any chance the damage disrupts the Ride-by? Also, I would also use Cage Enemy on the Nightmare itself to stop it from moving away from me - or if moving taking another AoO which would stop it dead on its tracks if it hit - Let me know if any of this is acceptable.
Harakani DM |
Yeah, I'm okay with Ally Defence being used. Remember it has used your next swift action.
1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 21 + 2 = 35, 35 is lower than 39. Morrack's AC plus 5 is 28, so still hits..
Cage Enemy has interesting interactions with Defensive Move. Is there anything on the forums about it yet?
Ride Ceck to negate AOO 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 - nope. AoO hits, Nightmare is stopped.
Seamus - looks like you aren't in range. Rek can you make a save instead (Morrack is still okay)
Horseman uses Rally.
Mitsy |
Mitsy lifts both weapons above her head and thrusts them down on the nearest hound.
Full attack, starting with hound #2, and then moving on to #5 if #2 dies.
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (20) + 17 = 37 to hit, 4d6 + 17 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 1) + 17 = 27 damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 fire if it hits.
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32 to hit, 4d6 + 17 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 6) + 17 = 38 damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 4 fire if it hits.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 to hit, 4d6 + 17 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 5) + 17 = 34 damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 fire if it hits.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21 to hit, 4d6 + 17 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 6) + 17 = 34 damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 fire if it hits.
Jennix Caerwyllien |
There is a wand of CMW in a wrist sheath on my person. You guys would know that since we have been adventuring together for a "while". Any help would be appreciated. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. ;)
Reknarok |
Apologies Jennix, we are still not used to playing as a team... I will get to you as soon as possible - I'm guessing since Mitsy pulverized the Hounds, Seamus can now do that :D
Reknarok's actions were designed to keep the main bulk of the enemies away from you and Seamus - wasn't particularly successful. Looking back, I think Morrack and me should have sticked together, perhaps 5 or 10 feet apart making some sort of road block, and making the best of his Outflank feat. But the zealot just ran off :D
By the way, who is our designated healer - to get Morrack and Jennix back on their feet?
Morrack, Inquisitor of Abadar |
Yeah still getting used to the inquisitor as well. Hopefully we will learn from this instead of dying.
Jennix is down, correct?
Morrack will dimensional hop over to L34, in the green stuff to flank with Reknarok
-32/114 hp, 55' dimensional hop remaining. Staggered.
Seamus Sams |
Oooh sorry, didn't see I was up.
Seamus glides down off of Mitsy, landing gracefully on the ground next to his fallen companion.
Ride check for fast dismount 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26
He reaches into Jennix's wrist sheath, draws the wand, and touches it to Jennix.
Use Magic Device 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (14) + 21 = 35 to activate. 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15 healing by using the hierophant power itemcraft, making the wand cast at caster level 6.
Jennix Caerwyllien |
Jennix will stand up and cast a spell when his turn comes around.
Thank you my friend, I may need that again, you've always been better at those sorts of devices than I have.
Reknarok |
Yep he is, I guess to hit him I would have to use my Spiked Gauntlet (or my claws from the Beast Totem :D ) - I'll just ignore him for now and try my full round of attacks on the Nightmare - I have no chance to miss her right? Since she is out of the cloud?
Reknarok |
Very well then :D
In spite of the poisonous cloud, Reknarok roars at the rider and its mount at full lungs - You should have not stopped here fool!! You will go back screaming to whatever hellhole you crawled out from!!
Attack 1:1d20 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22
Damage if it hits: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (9) + 29 = 38
Attack 2:1d20 + 21 ⇒ (8) + 21 = 29
Damage if it hits: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (3) + 29 = 32
Attack 3:1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Damage if it hits: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (14) + 29 = 43
Harakani DM, what should I roll for concealment?
Reknarok |
What are you blabbing about wretched creature?! And don't think I can't see you trying to circle me to have your dog at my heels from one end and yourself from the other - lets solve that right away shall WE?!
Taking advantage of Morracks' position Reknarok takes a step back (to K38), accepting any punishment the beast may deal for the risky move, and swinging viciously at the hound.
Attack on the Hound: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 21 + 2 = 25
Damage if it hits: 1d12 + 29 ⇒ (11) + 29 = 40
Attack on the Hound: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 21 + 2 = 33
Damage if it hits: 1d12 + 29 ⇒ (1) + 29 = 30
Attack on the Hound: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 21 + 2 = 24
Damage if it hits: 1d12 + 29 ⇒ (8) + 29 = 37
If I risk a hit from Dullahan, I will use Absorb Blow, if I am only risking being attacked by the hound as AoO, I will not expend it, saving it in the case the big bad guy comes for me.
Damned 1's and 2's :D
