The guards are all riled up over that last kidnapping job, and they're getting close to uncovering a cell of minor, but important, Mandrigal members.
The Mandrigal needs you to throw them off the scent. Inside one of the guard outposts in the Upper City is a case file, detailing all the information they've gathered on the movements of the Mandrigal members operating around the Upper City, many of which have infiltrated the wealthy and noble houses, providing information on potential marks and clients to the syndicate.
You must find this file, and take it out of play somehow. Simply destroying it is effective enough, though it looks fishy and may confirm some suspicions they've been having.
Tampering with it is better, changing the information slightly so that it may lead to false arrests and dead ends.
For successfully completing this job you will receive 150 gold pieces, as well as access to a low-level Mandrigal safehouse and cache in the Lower Quarter.
Difficulty: Moderate-Medium high
Guard outpost: Lightly manned (only about 7 guards including the captain), but their captain is a highly skilled swordsman and a very honorable man, with a reputation for being incorruptible (therefore, the Mandrigal used some of their pull to get him reassigned to a less influential position). His men highly respect him as being stern, but fair, and try to follow his example in all things. However, rumor on the street is that one guard in particular (a man named Frank Hardwick) may not be as enamored of the man as the other guards under his command.

If it's not too late, we could try and find out what happened to the kidnapped girl. It might earn us a favor from her rich/influential father, that has got to be useful in a City of Rogues. I suppose we could do that before Korak starts his 4-day training. Even if we only find her corpse, her father can (probably) afford to pay for her resurrection, so he should be grateful anyway.
Anyway, I should have gone to bed at least 2h ago, so good night everyone!

Hey, you've got 4 hours to make her agree to do whatever, that should be plenty of time, right?
And remember, you can use Diplomacy to push her to Helpful too, and THAT will stick for longer than the spell duration.

You know, just fiddling around with the FFCS homebrew... And I just noticed it's pretty much impossible to create a Summoner and keep it balanced. The bastards get a bazillion of awesome class features! O.O.
The good news is: A charismatic Magus/Paladin is perfectly possible! Although he will lack LoH. :(
My plans for other campaigns are starting... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
Lemmy
Can't make any promises... I'm still not sure how much free time I'll have after my college exams. :(
I'm putting a few ideas together, in case I get the chance. I'll let you guys know. FFCS or not. I have some house-rules I'd like to playtest, but I pretty sure they're mostly compatible with FFCS, if you guys decide you want to try them. :D
Anyway... If and when I feel I can GM a PbP campaign without fear of having to stop it midway through, I'll let you guys know.
Except for Rynjin, of course.
Suddenly remember Rynjin is the current GM
JK, of course. Rynjin is my favorite Monk/Fighter/Ranger with half a dozen archetypes. I have no criticism against him. :D
Rynjin
Hey, it's only 4 archetypes. Trapper, MoMS, Sacred Mountain, and Brawler!
I'd only be half a dozen if I'd decided to do Guide/Freebooter/Falconer (one of the above) and Drunken Master/Hungry Ghost.
Well actually that'd make 7.

Alternatively, bracers of armor can be enchanted with armor special abilities. See Table: Armor Special Qualities for a list of abilities. Special abilities usually count as additional bonuses for determining the market value of an item, but do not improve AC. Bracers of armor cannot have a modified bonus (armor bonus plus armor special ability bonus equivalents) higher than +8. Bracers of armor must have at least a +1 armor bonus to grant an armor special ability.

So we have intel that Charles and Co. are holed up in an abandoned mansion. A confrontation seems eminent. Be sure to prepare accordingly.
We know Charles is a necro casty type, so fort/ will saves with possible summoned minions.
Salvador seems to be a raging (anti-paladin) fighter type, so he will be dishing out melee punishments.
Michaelis seems to be a roguey alchemist and his wife is a complete unknown.
I suggest we take down Charles as our first priority, then maybe the drow will switch sides.

So that's 1k from my pocket + 1 voucher.
How do we decide who gets the extra one? I vote on arm-wrestling! ;)
Rynjin
Yar. I said equivalent price, remember, so there is a price listed, technically.
It's 2k for a weapon, 1k for armor. Brawling Bracers would be 4k total. The voucher will cover up to 2k of that.
Meaning, you either need both vouchers, or an extra 2k gold.
I will say, however, that for the purpose of these vouchers (at least this first batch), that they would be enough to cover the cost of a +1 AoMF. We'll waive it and say they use the crafting cost and go by that or whatever.

Gotta remember we are outnumbered. AND we know very little about Charles' abilities. And even less about Salvador and the drow girl.
If they are holding the girl hostage (all we know is that they kidnapped and delivered her, as far as we know, they are not the ones holding her right now), we should probably gather some information about them and possibly get some sort of reinforcement. Or find a way to ambush one of them at a time. Maybe 2 of them at most.
I'm not confident we can take on all 4 of them at the same time and live to tell the story.

Nicos, as much as I enjoy seeing new words used, "ubication" always confuses me for a minute before I remember what it means.
It's technically correct but "location" is MUCH more widely used nowadays (ubication is an archaic, now obsolete form of the word).
You can continue using it if you'd like, I figured I'd just toss that out there. =)
Now back to your discussion on what you're gonna do. I should have at least one new mission up tonight for if you decide not to raid the mansion.
I got caught up watching Star Trek: Into Darkness with my mom before she goes back to Maryland. I liked it. Not sure where all the complaints are coming from.
