Elmar: Wall of Fire doesn't have a reflex save. You just take damage.
SB: Unless you beat his stealth check when he next moves, I don't think you'll know when he gets within 10 feet of you since he's still invisible. Unless he melee attacks you, in which case you'll know what square he's in if he doesn't move afterwards.
We've still got Nahoce's action and regular Kaylor's, which I'll do after my seminar.

![]() |

We're still in first round, correct? As BoF does not allow a second spell casting, Nahoce will simply ready her morningstar, take the AC/Reflex bonus and wait for her next chance.

Kaylor Traice |

This is actually the second round, so you can cast a spell if you want.
Kaylor jumps through the wall of fire where he last saw his evil clone, directing Remiel to do likewise. Unable to find his nemesis, he growls in frustration, his hands sparking electricity as he prowls about. Too bad I didn't stock up on more scrolls of glitterdust. Not that I could tell where he was anyway to cast it.
Fire Damage: 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 5) + 13 = 22
Kaylor lowers his spell resistance enough to have Remiel tag him with his wand.

![]() |

Knowing Good Kaylor's penchant for shocking things into tiny piles of smoking ash, Nahoce attempts to protect the party with Protection from Energy, Communal, giving everyone 120 points of electricity immunity.
Taking the BoF AC/Reflex bonus this round.

Kaylor Traice |

Rolyak
Wall of Fire damage for Nahoce, Sanidine, and Elmar
Fire: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Grinning invisibly, Rolyak casts another spell and moves.
Stealth: 1d20 + 20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 + 20 = 60 Yup, don't think anybody's going to be seeing him this round.
Edit: Actually, since I don't want to prolong things by making him too defensive, he'll go ahead and discharge the spell by attacking SB after charging up his sword as a flaming, frost, shocking, keen.
To Hit vs FF: 1d20 + 22 + 1 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 22 + 1 - 4 + 2 = 32 Fighting defensively
Regular Weapon damage+ Fire and Ice: 1d6 + 12 + 13 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 13 + (3, 1) = 32
Electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Vampiric Touch damage: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 4, 1, 2) = 20
Total Damage vs SB: 32 + 20 = 52
HP: 76/127, AC 46, T 36
10 rounds invisibility
7 rounds haste
Everybody's round 3 action is up

![]() |

Nahoce summons (Extended, thanks to BoF) an annoying dog near SB with Rolyak as its target.
Her intent is to summon a dog that's more bark than bite, which will follow Rolyak just out of range, yapping annoyingly. How successful she is at this is left to the GM.

Silver Bullet |

you just sealed your doom buddy.

hit: 13 + 1d20 ⇒ 13 + (6) = 19 nope miss.
dmg: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
evil kaylor must make a fort saving throw of 25 or be destroyed instantly. He takes 64 slashing damage on a save from the broken animus
the other 4 released attack on round 4. and they are at half their maximum.

botting zub. he will get near silver and flurry of blows power attack him. and he will jump up in the air for extra damage, ie. damage from falling objects, called jumpromancy. oh yeah and he does stunning attack on silver.

new round.

Kaylor Traice |

Rolyak
Evil Kaylor gives an invisible, feral grin. I'll show you who's doomed.
Auto-succeed defensively casting vampiric touch again
Free vampiric touch: 1d20 + 22 - 2 - 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 22 - 2 - 4 + 1 + 2 = 20 Miss, so vampiric touch on the next one
To Hit 1: 1d20 + 22 - 2 - 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 22 - 2 - 4 + 1 + 2 = 33
Regular Damage: 1d6 + 12 + 13 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 13 + (2, 4) = 34
Electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Vampiric Touch: 6d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 4, 6, 3) = 20 Since SB has 9 HP and +4 Con, this only gives him 13 HP
Since this kills SB, so the next attack will be vs the summoned dog
To Hit 2: 1d20 + 17 - 2 - 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 17 - 2 - 4 + 1 + 2 = 32 Crit threat, but I think the dog is more than dead

Elmar is up now

Elmar Thonsson |

Elmar's attacks trigger AoOs from other Elmar, and he knows it—which means he only gets this round to damage himself while he's still flat-footed.
Upon hearing the animus shatter, Elmar shouts, "What have you done, Silver? This'll be real dangerous now!"
And he 5-foot steps through the wall (Damage: 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 3) + 13 = 20), casting Instant Enemy and firing at his evil self as soon as he sees it.
This is what we call "the big guns"
Attack 1 (Touch, vs Ramle): 1d20 + 24 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 24 + 1 + 6 = 50
Damage: 4d6 + 14 + 2 + 24 + 12 + 13 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 4) + 14 + 2 + 24 + 12 + 13 = 76
Attack 1 (touch to confirm—it's an auto-threat): 1d20 + 24 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 24 + 1 + 6 = 50
Bonus Damage: 8d6 + 28 + 4 + 48 + 12 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 4, 2, 5, 4, 5) + 28 + 4 + 48 + 12 = 116
Elmar has just done 192 damage to Evil Elmar in a single attack. Which would have killed him at maximum health.
Attack 2 (vs Evil Bullet): 1d20 + 24 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 24 + 1 = 28
Damage: 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 12 ⇒ (1, 5) + 7 + 1 + 12 = 26
Attack 3 (vs Evil Bullet): 1d20 + 24 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 24 + 1 = 32
Damage: 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 12 ⇒ (1, 3) + 7 + 1 + 12 = 24
Attack 4 (vs Evil Bullet): 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 19 + 1 = 28
Damage: 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 12 ⇒ (5, 6) + 7 + 1 + 12 = 31
And Evil Bullet is gone too.
Elmar can't see Rolyak no matter what, so he'll take his last shot at evil Ecohan.
Attack 4 (vs Evil Nahoce): 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 1 = 32
Damage: 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 12 ⇒ (3, 1) + 7 + 1 + 12 = 24

DoubleGold |

don't worry if this is total party kill or close to it, I'll just have everyone resurrected via raise dead, just remember to do the -2 con, and not the negative level, because I want everyone to be the same level. Our bodies get discovered at take us to get resurrected, our other selves will still die and we still get exp. If you don't have the 5 K gold to spare, you just have to lend out an item as collateral and make a note of it that you get it back after paying out 5 K gold.
kaylor, then evil elmar is up

Kaylor Traice |

Evil Elmar got killed already. So all that's left is evil Kaylor, Evil Zuberu, and Evil Nahoce.
Good Kaylor
Knowing that in order to have killed both SB and the summoned dog, Rolyak must be in one of three spots, Kaylor wildly guesses.
3 is correct spot: 1d3 ⇒ 3
With luck on his side, Kaylor attempts to deliver his maximized shocking grasp. Using the +2 to hit and AC from the blessing
To Hit vs 36: 1d20 + 22 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 22 + 2 + 3 = 34
To Hit vs 36: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 17 + 2 + 3 = 32
Both miss. Alas.
AC49 T 34
I believe Nahoce is now up. Followed by Evil Zuberu and Evil Nahoce.

![]() |

Nahoce attempts a complete Destruction of Ecohan.
Fortitude, DC 24: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
130 points damage will more than kill Ehocan even at full HP.
Urebuz is up.

Zuberu |
Urebuz, like his non-evil counterpart, is always eager to show his strength and throws a flurry of mighty punches at Zuberu.
Flurry: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38
Damage: 1d6 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 11 + (6, 4) = 22

then Roylak. I just now noticed that our evil counterparts are our names spelled backwards.

Zuberu |
Zuberu grunts as his head snaps back from his evil double's punch. As he fires back, his body bursts into pale flames.
Activate Greyflame.
Flurry: 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 19 + 1 = 24

Self Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Kaylor Traice |

Wall of Fire damage for Sanidine and Nahoce
Fire: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
Knowing that he is likely to have just as much trouble hitting his counterpart as Kaylor is having hitting him, Rolyak moves to attack an easier target. Out of vampiric touches for the day and unaware of Nahoçe's energy protection spell, he casts maximized shocking grasp, taking advantage of the fact that he can't provoke attacks while invisible.
To Hit: 1d20 + 22 - 4 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 22 - 4 + 1 + 3 = 38
Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 22 - 4 + 1 + 3 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 22 - 4 + 1 + 3 + 9 = 51
Rolyak spends 1 arcane point and a swift action to double precision damage, and 2 arcane points to increase his crit multiplier by 1
Non-Electric damage: 3d6 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 13 + 13 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) + 12 + 12 + 12 + 13 + 13 + (5, 2) = 86 Last 2d6 are fire and frost, if that matters
Electric damage: 1d6 + 120 ⇒ (1) + 120 = 121
I believe that blows through all of Nahoçe's energy protection to do 87 damage
Rolkay frowns, knowing that strike should have more than killed the still-standing dwarf.
DC23 Arcana: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25
He clenches his jaw, sending an invisible, dirty look Nahoçe's way.
Stealth: 1d20 + 20 + 20 ⇒ (11) + 20 + 20 = 51
HP: 25/127, AC 46, T 36
8 rounds invisibility
5 rounds haste
14 arcane points left
Elmar, Kaylor, and Nahoce are up, I believe

Elmar Thonsson |

Perception: 1d20 + 33 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 33 + 2 = 53
And Elmar finally gets a good read on exactly where Rolyak's standing. While total concealment still applies, this should cause him to lose invisibility bonuses to hit and AC
Edit: Elmar can't 5-foot-step—so I'm redoing his action.

Elmar Thonsson |

First, he tags Rolyak with his other Instant Enemy spell, to aid with future perception checks. Since it's a swift action, it doesn't provoke an AoO.
Concealment (>50) to tag with spell: 1d100 ⇒ 75
Since he can't possibly hit with his helmet or make the acrobatics check to escape, Elmar has no choice but to spend his turn withdrawing.

![]() |

Nahoce sends a stream of Hellfire at Urebuz.
Ranged touch, BoF: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 2 = 24 Whew, didn't look at Zub's touch AC until I'd already decided this
Damage: 13d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 1, 1, 3, 6, 6, 6, 1, 5, 5, 5, 6) = 53

Kaylor Traice |

Kaylor growls in annoyance at the fact that he can't find the doppleganger. So instead of trying, he positions himself between the general area Rolyak is in and Elmar, making sure his evil twin can't place himself somewhere to force a retreat.
He then readies himself to strike at Rolyak if he attacks either himself or Elmar, assuming that he sticks to his tried and true melee attacks.
Remiel then flies around and offers to tag Elmar with a shield, infernal healing, or protection from evil.

![]() |

Elmar, I'm not ignoring you. I didn't memorize Heal this time, and the highest spontaneous Cure spell I can throw at you will give you ~31 HP, which Roylak will blow through with primary weapon damage pretty much every hit.

Kaylor Traice |

Shield's a personal spell.
Ahh, right. Good catch.
Also, I think Urebuz is up followed by Zuberu.

DoubleGold |

man these guys are tough and put up a good fight even with half their life gone.

Zuberu |
Between Zuberu’s shot to the ribs and Nahoce’s hellish flames, Urebuz is left scorched and bloodied. Still, he refuses to yield and throws another flurry of blows at the real musclebound priest.
Activate his own Greyflame.
Flurry: 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 19 + 1 = 33
Damage: 1d6 + 11 + 2d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 11 + (6, 1) + 1 + (1) = 22
Flurry: 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 19 + 1 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 11 + 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + (6, 6) + (2) = 30
Iterative: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 14 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 11 + 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + (6, 2) + (4) = 28
Self Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Despite getting caught by another vicious hook, Zuberu comes back with a vengeance.
Flurry: 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 19 + 1 = 40
Confirming: 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 19 + 1 = 33
Pummeling Style Crit: 3d6 + 36 + 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6) + 36 + (3, 6) + (5) = 60
Self Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
And a huge uppercut knocks his evil double out cold.

![]() |

Don't worry, Elmar. You can rest assured that I'll buy a really cute tiara with the proceeds from your estate sale. ;-)
Try not to get hit for a round or two, mmkay?

![]() |

It was until SB lost his cool and destroyed the Animus. If Roylak had failed his save and been killed instantly it would have been a master stroke of tactics. Since he didn't, not so much.

Kaylor Traice |

With a +18 Fort, chances were pretty good Rolyak was going to save.
Also, I'm waiting to see what DG's response to Zuberu is before posting Rolyak's action since he might go after him.

Zuberu |
Assuming DG’s kosher with it, I’ll post some minimally retconny actions for Zuberu’s first two rounds where he was previously doing nothing.
Round One
Zuberu backs away and watches while Kaylor battles his evil double. He prays to Sobek for strength for the battle to come against his own opponent.
Righteous Might
Round Two
Noting that Kaylor was struggling to finish his clone off, Zuberu prays for protection from his magics and the spells of the other clones should it come to that.
Spell Immunity. Not sure if folks have any way of knowing what was spell immunityed but if so…
I would have gone for beast shape but that would have made the battle between Zuberu and Urebuz very different. =P

Fire damage for those still within the wall
Fire: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Frowning, Rolyak tries to decide what to do. He could try to finish off Elmar and risk facing his doppleganger with his blind sense and sparking hands. He could try to kill of the healer of the group, but that would require dashing through the fire, which probably wasn't a good idea with his low health. He could go after Zuberu, but undoubtedly he would also have electricity protection from that cursed Nahoçe's spell, which cut out most of his offensive spells.
I find myself torn about exactly how lethal I should make Rolyak. But my understanding is that the following should be reversible with Dispel Magic, which Kaylor knows/can prepare more of.
Mentally ticking off what spells remain to him, he grins as he remembers a relatively new one. He then looks around for an appropriate target. This should at least put him out of commission without putting myself in danger.
He is casting Baleful Polymorph on Elmar to turn him in to a turtle. DC24 Fort save negates. If that fails, there's a DC24 Will save.
Rolyak then moves.
