"Whilst I enjoyed the flash of flames you produced, your choice of abode leaves a lot to be desired." Harnet says darkly, his nose twitching at the stench of the dead bugs. "We can perhaps choose somewhere a little more welcoming. Though I see no reason why we shouldn't rest a moment to regain our strength. See Morthak, he's left his life waters and flesh on the hard ground and splashed over the dead worms there. If any more of you want the chance to feel the arcane's power over life, let me use its power to heal on you. And you too Morthak, once you've finished your exploration of the carnage." He takes his wand and touches Morthak. "Form an orderly queue!" he chuckles.

Once he has satisfied his companions appeals for his magic, he starts to move around the room, looking for any magic that requires his attention. Once he has completed this and understood the auras, he says "Let's find a comfortable place to rest, not this forsaken chamber."

Casts detect magic as many times as required to search the area, including the bugs.

Is Morthak the only one who needs wand healing?

Harnet doesn't sense any magic in the immediate area.

Morthak searches up and down but anything hidden has already been found.

Would everyone like to sleep in this room and if so is anybody going to keep watch?

"If we are planning on calling it a night, I would prefer to leave this complex. We can spend the night in Zelkor's Ferry where at least there are walls and relative safety. Anything could come upon us here in this place, and we have found no room that can be easily secured."

If we found a room that could only be accessed by secret doors then I would be inclined to use that as a campsite. Barring that a room with only one door that is easily barred would be okay. But we haven't found anything so far that can be easily secured, and we aren't that far from town.

Meanwhile going back to town allows us to sell off our stuff and see what there is to buy. We have a significant amount of loot already.

IIRC Erigga and Red Feather are both down 2 points, but if we are leaving or making camp they can probably suck it up.

It looks like we have two votes for Zelkor's ferry/Not this dungeon and one for the parasite room. I will leave up the vote until later today.

The once bright day is now met with the glistening sun and the sound of leaves rustling as the wind picks up.

The forest is dreadfully silent with the occasional swaying tree but luckily you crossed without incident.

The long trek back is met with a full-moon. Nothing is seen tonight not even the occasional deer scavenging for food. What an odd night some of you think while walking along the river.

Everybody has made it safe back to Zelkor's ferry. The guards while surprised are happy that everybody came back in one piece.

It's the dead of night now and most are asleep with the only light radiating from the guard post and the inn.

Entering the inn is met with only Amelia washing dishes."I'll be right out." she exclaims.

A warm smile erupts upon seeing everybody in one piece."You all must be so tired." She leads everybody back into the same rooms.

Everybody is woken up by Amelia knocking on the wooden doors."Breakfast is ready." Ysbel and Amelia starts serving everybody and by the looks of it nobody new came in today.

It's bright and early and there is enough time to sell/buy anything you would need and still leave at a reasonable time. If that's what everyone would like to do that is.

Everybody is back to full health and Red Feather is cured of his Con drain

Morthak will (preferably accompanied by the others) head around town to sell off the various goods they have acquired, starting with Rasmus Pye's Trading Post.

The spreadsheet lists the total value as 2385 but the chainmail, longsword, and shortbow would normally be sold for 1/2 value. So I am assuming that we actually have 2287.5 gp.

Despite Morthak's assurances, Harnets face wrinkles up as a shiver goes down his hunched back. "Well, next time, you can do it whilest I keep watch from a distance."

He takes in the trip around the town with his companions, letting his eyes take a special interest in the magic shop, with scrolls and other items for sale. "Pray tell me, how much would your scroll of sleep be, it might be of interest? And if I could but copy from it?, I'm sure I can help you with another of mine." Morthak would prefer to check the rooms we've already been through. On the way to the snake room there is a door that we passed - perhaps we can start there.

Revisiting the snake you can see that it has been tampered with. There are chunks of flesh missing and it has been moved around pretty carelessly. The room with the parasites have not been touched since yesterday.

Backtracking to the room nearby you see that there are ten crudely-built wooden beds in the room, each with a wooden footlocker underneath. All of the footlockers are empty, with the exception of a candle stub, a mouse skeleton, a needle and thread, and a bent copper piece.

Morthak would probably be searching the room so it is unlikely he would be the one "on guard."

But can you be more specific? By "silhouette" do you mean that we can see a creature of some kind, but he is backlit by a light source and we cannot make out his features? Or do you mean (as I suspect) a shadow, cast by a light source out of sight up the hall? Or do you just mean a dark shape, but that there is no light source highlighting it?
