Silvio turns a little green as his stomach revolts and threatens to heave some of its contents. Curiously though the chelaxian manages to keep a dignified appearence . "This is indeed an afront to all Silvio stands for", he mumbles as he struggles to keep his last meal down. "Silvio will decend first", Silvio declares and graps the rope. After making sure it is securely fastened he begins to decend. After the nausea wears off. "Just give Silvio a few moments to banish this foul stench. Silvio has an excellent sense of smell, you know. That is why the stench seems overwhelming."

Hopefully taking 10 for a total of 10 + 1 = 11 is enough.

Kyson stows his shield and prepares to climb down.

"I sure hope it's easier coming straight up. I will be, won't it?" Kyson worries as he steels himself to follow Silvio to his doom.

"Wouldn't it make more sense to burn down this ship, then chip away at whatever is causing this hole to exist so that this hole is filled with sea water? Then whatever is down there will either drown or float up to us? Then we can slay them in the view of Sarenrae's sun. Wouldn't that be keen?"

There seems to be some water at the bottom, but it appears to be a pillar of seaweed jutting down from the bed, but emerging in the ship.

As you being to climb down, the vines at the edge of the pit seem to twitch and writhe, letting out an eerie keening. As you descend 40 feet, the keening grows worse, making it hard to concentrate. You think you'll have trouble concentrating to cast a spell -- i.e. Concentration check DC 15+spell level to do so

Please let me know what order you're going down -- also do you only have the one rope; and if so, who's on it?

I figure you're moving standard climbing speed, so one-quarter normal speed. Which would mean by the time you got 60 feet deep, you'd probably no longer be nauseated.

No one actually said they had a second set of rope; I see it's on Silvio's sheet, so I'm fine going with you having tied it together. It can dangle about 90 feet into the hole.

The thing at the bottom does not seem to be doing anything, though it looks like it may well be looking up at you.

"Uh yeah, let's get it!"

Seeing how is fire worked last time, Kyson casts defensively and tries to burn the Mother and a bunch of vine babies. As it's 20' tall, I think there are places to put it to avoid the good guys...and Sekathral.

This ain't gonna do much. All I can do is keep the mouldy old cow busy...

Can it be flanked/sneak attacked? If so, do I have room to make a 5ft step to get into a flank? If so, I'll delay until after Kyson throws his fireball, if that'll make a difference

”So you dare to cross blades with the great Silvio Callgari Pazzi? ” Silvio states triumphantly, seeing the opportunity for great heroics. Acting on the chance to create yet another legacy he deftly skips towards the creature determined to drive his sword through the plant mother. ”You said this thing was famous, right?”, he asks Zstelian mid battle.

Sekathral: 19
Kyson: 14
Silvio: 12
Zstelian: 7
Khazmia: 6
Antagonist: 5

Thanks to the numerous eyes of the immature plant creatures on her, she cannot be flanked, Sekathral.

The elf's blade splashes into the creature, but seems to hit mostly rot and nothing vital, as Kyson's fireball washes over her.

Silvio's blade cuts her, but the vegetable matter seems to grow over the slash almost immediately.

Zstelian's cold iron weapons seem to have more effect and Kayle's claws tear further into her.

She screams, all the immature creatures creating an unholy cacaphony that proves nearly deafening, and lashes out at Zstelian and Kyson. Her jaws rip into the young priest, tearing flesh from his bones 21 hp; and Kyson, can you add your AC to your stat line, while one claw penetrates the ranger's armor. 9 hp
