Okay, so I take it we're all in the same place.

The Rust Monsters that were only merely curious before grow hostile at the sight of so many invaders. They move in toward you threateningly.

I'll roll for initiatives when I get home today.

Nature DC 10:
Throwing a metal item to distract the Rust Monsters could potentially distract them long enough to run past them.

He then retreats to the back of the group and tries to hide from the monsters, so he can get off a lucky shot when they focus on the others.

That made me smile.

Randal's handaxe digs deep into the Rust Monster, but it starts to corrode. Your handaxe now has a permanent -1 to damage. Then a volley of arrows from Alton and Vasayo finish the creature off.

And then Grith fires a firebolt at the last Rust Monster killing it as well.

Combat Over.

You actually have two options from Area 22. You can take the shaft elevator up, or move forward to area 21 and on. The first two that agree on a way to go, will be what I go with.

The shaft goes up about 60 feet. But then Alton notices that the floor of the elevator is a bit rotten. You don't think it could hold any if the bigfolk. And at best only one of the properly-sized. You get this do to your passive perception, Alton.

It seems like the best way to go up for the big folk would be to climb up with the ropes. 4 Athletics DC 10 checks.
