As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring the undead. Each undead that can see or hear you within 30ft of you must make a wisdom save. If the creature fails it is turned for one minute or until it takes damage.
A turned creature must spend it's turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can't willingly move to a space within 30ft of you. It also can't take reactions. For it's action it can only use the Dash action or tey to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there's nowhere to move the creature can use the dodge action.

Preserve Life: pg 23
As an action, you present your holy symbol and evoke healing energy that can restore a number of hit points equal to five times your cleric level (15). Choose any creatures within 30ft of you and divide those HP between them. This feature can restore a creature to no more than half their total HP.

Disciple of life: When you cast a Healing spell of 1st Lvl or higher on another creature that creature regains an additional 2+ spell Lvl HP.

Protection: When a creature you can see tacks a target other than you at is within five feet of you, you can use your reaction to moose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must wielding a shield.

Background
Expecting the simple life of a priest, Dervel instead found the study difficult whilst the martial training came easily to him. After many years of study he has only passed his most basic exams though he has proven himself quite capable with the sword and shield. The Primate Arnbold sent him to seek out the world, to see what his god has waiting for him outside the monastery, and to return in a year and a day to decide upon the future of his studies as a cleric.
