Lol. In 'Organized Play'... 13th level-Retired 'Silver Crusader' Asherick has a Lion's Shield called [b]< LEONESS >[/i] that has the emblem of Iomedae upon it instead of t lion's head and that annimates and strikes foes when he activated it.

When you really like a character concept, it can be hard to let it go completely. I have several characters who pop up every so often.

When I started playing THIS AP 'Organized Play' Asherick was only 8th level. And when I learned there was a specific Adventure path in Ashe's home city I REALLY wanted to play it bu no one in my home city had it to run.

My spellcraft check was pretty good Meg,was it enough to work out what the coin does?

I am both saddend and Bouyed by the news.

One one hand we get better access to one of my better GM's (when time allows your telling of the story is quite good.)

On the other hand it sucks big time not having regular work. I had a period when I got out of the army when it was hard. Very stressful, particularly if you have dependents.
Hope you find a job soon that pays a crap load of money and demands little (they DO exist).

Ok on uses of Healing {Treat Disease} specifically... if my healing check exceeds the Save DC of the Modified Vorel's Phage Disease... this will grant little Brianna a +4 to her next fortitude save versus the disease. Adding to that the Anti-plague potion bonus of +5'alchemical' on the fortitude save... IF she is within the hour of contracting it {not likely} for a total of +9 Fort save... plus any normal bonuses she has.

If not within the hour of contracting the disease she will get a second save with no alchemical bonus... but she will still get the +4 'Treat Injury' bonus. Not much - but its the best mundane that can be done.

Kayla Adrianas - female, Halfling - Cleric [SHELYN] 4 / Bard 1
Agatha Threepwood - female, Human - Sorcerer "Arcane Bloodline" 5

They both seem very interesting characters and fully fill our need of magical support.

Kayla because there is a large Temple to Shelyn in Korvosa and an easy tie-In.

Agatha because Korvosa... though not a city under Cheliex rule does have very Chellish roots to its culture and the governess/headmistress teacher has interesting flair of proper 'Chellish' stuffiness and book learning that is a strong core to the prestigious reputation that Korvosa is renown for in the major arcane universities in the city like The Academae, Theumanexus College or even The University of Korvosa.

My Tertiary choice is...

Kryas Sitora - male, Half-Elf - Cleric [PHARASMA] 5

Because we already have had, as a party, very close ties working with the Church of the 'Lady of the Graves' and Bishop Keparia D'bear the High Priestess of the Grand Temple/Fortress is one of our closest confidants. It would make sense for her to introduce a agent of her faith to assist us more directly and closely. Kryas is only a 'tertiary choice' because we 'technically' already have the Bishop's support and I'd like a more even mix of female characters to male characters. Plus, the first two characters I really like a lot! It was a hard choice to make.

Personally, I'd like to have all three of them!

My preferences are:

Icabod2- Human sorcerer. This player is in my Council of theives game and is a guaranteed poster with great roleplay chops and is pretty easy to getalong with. Plus her build looks like a fire/cold build with Human having the option for extra spells known, making her a good blaster and still with a decent spell range for problem solving.

Beor Kal - Greataxe Dwarf cleric. It's a classic char, would fit in well with this group. A buffer/backup melee with full list for divine access. His channel sucks but we are at levels where that matters less.

My tertiary pick is Arduino the Lesser.

Gtr Spl Fcs: Enchantment. This dude would combine well with Evil eye for mentally dominating foes and is again, Human for extra Spells. I like his fluff. Not often you find a Sorc with a woodsy feel.

I also like the cleric of Shelyn :)

And Icabod2's character, since Varrel knows him a bit.

I'm not sure we need a tertiary choice. Those are the two I vote on.

Heya, I didn't realize there was a big discussion in the OOC thread. For some reason neither my main thread new-post-count nor the feedreader seem to pay attention to this thread. Is strange.

I really like all 3.
But my vote has to go to Icabod. Mostly cause I do know the player is a frequent poster and great role player. For meta game reasons I know this App finishes at high level and highly value arcane casting.

I do like Valytra, but I feel like we have our divine magic covered with Ashe and Kayla. With Icabod, we'd have a sorcerer and a magus as arcane casters, with Shakhan and I as melee/ranged attack.

She only just joined. But she could be great way to break a deadlock.
