Nacht is such an entertaining character.... Now I might see why Cthulhu chose him.. though he has no Idea and isnt that kind of monster.. he doesnt prey on the minds of people.. mostly.
Iommi-Tyr Magnusson
So, ...Does that mean I can ask for something, um, "more useful" than that +1 Cloak of Resistance that Loki was making for me?
Maybe even my deity, Odin, will take over from that cheap b*+@~...
Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht*
I really dont think that the gifts are to anyone's MAIN anything. For example, Nacht Got Armor.. which is fine but otherwise no more special than Hisao's ring or Foereaper.
Iommi-Tyr Magnusson
I had forgotten as well, Mike reminded me at our game tonight. I only remembered it was a +1 to Saves and figured it was a Cloak of Resistance -- forgot about the other +1s.
I apologized by way of killing the monsters in his dungeon!
(Actually I almost died tonight. Twice. ... But we still won in the end and levelled up. WooHoo, 6th level!)
We'll see if Loki gives it to Iommi-Tyr Magnusson one day or if my Deity, Odin, gives me something else; I asked Mike to surprise me.
Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht*
.... Wow that is WAAAAY better than anything I've seen anyone else get.
Generally the gifts have been around the same level of effectiveness as the others. Paddy's Robe is actually about the same level because... Paddy is a Rogue. He wont likely be FF or Flanked too much anyway and other than that it just increases his senses which for some is a spell or so away.
FoeReaper is Vorpal and Adamantine but a Scythe. Weapon Slot
The Ring of Invisibility is at will but only lasts 3 minutes each. Ring Slot
Robes of Eyes; Body Slot
Nacht is wearing Celestial Chainmail.. but requires higher levels to max out the dex.
Will and Kyleon has weapons which can eventually be bought, Kyleons a Crossbow which is far worse than a bow.. so its good.
Will's Im on the fence.
But the Luck stone gave a hard to achieve bonus to Saves, Skill, and stat (these arent easy)checks and ability checks.. and took no slot. Meaning it stacked with everything else. Now it also extra damage and +5 to checks again.. that is alot.

Well if compare it to another slotless item, a mossy disk ioun stone we can price +5 skills at 2500g per skill, luck is a bit better than competence so let's increase it by 50%.
So 3750 per skill. Good luck stone is 20k.
So that places it around 57,500g.
The 2d6 is harder to price.

Yeah, I'd have to agree.
Everybody else' gifts are roughly on par with one another in either effectiveness or price (with Foereaper being the big outlier on cost at around 40k while everyone else' is around 20k in equipment, but essentially amounting to +1 to-hit/damage and a 5% chance to instakill on a weapon that likely would already do so, and the Robe of Eyes being honestly overpriced for what it does and coming with some hefty drawbacks to boot).
While I think the new bonuses fit Iommi's character far better, I think dropping the Luckstone effect in favor of something along those lines or even slightly better would be more fair (roughly speaking this is probably priced equivalently to a Phylactery of Positive Channeling at 11k and a +5 skill bonus at 2500 gp per skill).
But a +2 bonus to saves, skills, and attack rolls, with another +5 to Knowledge checks (+7 total to all checks) and +2d6 on Bombs (though this largely just offsets the penalty from multiclassing) is enormous.
I don't mind all THAT much, but it is a really really good item.
I'd probably drop the Luckstone aspect and give it something else on theme with Odin overwriting it, like a +2 Sacred bonus on Fort and Will saves and the ability to cast Divination once per day or week.
Kiyu Amunatus
Rynjin brought up the positive Channeling item, that's probably a good approximation.
So total item worth is somewhere around 68,500g.

You cannot math its nowhere near the general price of the items because they also take into account usage ability.
10 skills = 37500 gold
Luckstone = 20000 gold
Both require no slots HOWEVER they have differing values in that, Ioun Stones are effected by all the external stuff and must be activated at all times besides being quite visible.
Now when you COMBINE all these things into one item, its gets expensive.. quick. It is 50% More for every item after.
Then Whatever 2d6 on any bomb is.. likely quite alot as it isnt limited to a type. If less than 20k or the same it still is %50 more.
So even then its 76250 before that.

One would think slotless items would not pay the combine fee, due to the fact they're slotless, and therefore don't need to be combined.

One would be wrong because they are slotless and still need to be tracked and managed because they do not have the same qualifiers. Slotless pay the same price as all items because they are. Just because you can get a better bonus with multiple items to eventually beat that one item doesnt excuse the fact BEING one item is alot better for things. Especially not have 11 sunderable floating items over your head that must be on all the time or you lose their effect (Which is particularly bad for the Stat boosting ones because of the reset )
Kiyu Amunatus
Perhaps an elegant solution is to merely give the item two forms. One in which it is a luckstone and provides a damage bonus.
And then other where it can broken apart into an ioun stone like crown and provide its skill bonuses but ceases to function as a luck stone.

And so the divine arms race begins! Lol.... I intend to have each of the Lusty Fools' deity patrons take note of the big advantage Odin just have to his pawn, and compensate their own pawns accordingly....
I kind of wanted to avoid this myself, at least for now. I like the somewhat high stakes low level shenanigans going on right now. =)
That said I always look forward to see what you come up with too.

I dont particularly care one way or the other but I do note gross differences when they occur.
That solution is not Elegant at all btw. It does not get rid of the fact it is two items placed in one. What you subscribe is called a command word it does not lessen the effect.
Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht*
Same can be said of Alphonse.. its really REALLY hard to kill Fey Foundling Paladins.
But ye Nacht requires a super duper big hit thats not a crit to basically kill him.
Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht*
Indeed. Thats what also makes him scary.
Though in general you make for a different kind of tank. Nacht is preventative/Ball of Murder.
Rynjin
Alphonse is a bit of a different character than what I usually play as far as martials go. I'm liking it so far, having the ability to heal myself and others.
Most of my Feats are probably going to go into making Lay on Hands better, and I'm going to nab Ultimate Mercy as soon as possible (which is probably around 7th level) so I can fill people with the power of JEE-SUS and make them arise to fight the good fight again.
