GM, I don't think your way of counting the duration of my extract is very accurate, since we're in combat now, and each round lasts for 6 seconds or so. I would rather have you decide when the duration expires based on what we've been doing. Anyway, I will accept any decision. Just my 2 cents here.

Heightened Awareness is discharged to add +4 to init if you choose. No static bonus to Init.

Okay, so they go again after being hit, but not downed and the ralkfolk realizes his piercing isn't doing anything. hit: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (14) = 14 vs whiskers
hit: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (11) = 11 vs brikon
Brikon is up, then round 3, which you all may go oh and being next to it again at start of your turn. dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Brikon 'Brik' Wahl |
6 damage to everyone in combat with it? Ouch.
HP: 5/11
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
After just being severely burned by the flaming Skeleton, Brik takes another bash at it.....quite literally.
Though the situation is pretty dire right now, Brik looked around with a slight look of concern across his face. I don't suppose any of you have water on you? Let's say we put these flaming creatures out.
He then takes a 5ft step back to try and stay clear of the skeletons flames.

I reconned that, it will last for 3 combats, including this one, since you are exploring between combats which takes minutes, unless you intentionally jump from combat to combat without exploring and explore later, then it lasts the rest of the game.
Imojin |
Imojin tries again...
to hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
dmg if hits: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
then she steps back out of combat, nursing her burnt fur and flesh.
"Come on Whiskers, this is getting too hot for us"
"Whiskers" |
Whiskers takes another bite at the skeleton before following IMojin's lead and stepping back from the unnatural beastie.
to hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
dmg if hits: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 remember bites do all 3 types of damage, so should go through dr!
cmb to trip: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

If this spell is active when you have to make an initiative check, you can instantly dismiss this spell and gain a +4 bonus on that check.

sorry whiskers, in that case, they all died now, since other attacks go on the other one.
Combat over, healing would be great now
Imojin |
"Oooh, burnt my fur right through my armor... bad skelly." You all smell burnt fur from Imojin and her mount... it doesn't smell good, lol.

This room Perception to discover the secret door, disable device to open it
Two stone altars, one black and one white, sit at either end of
this large chamber, which takes up two wings of the tower on
this level. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in
front of each altar beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved
symbols and writings snake along the walls. The burnt corpses
of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
Brikon 'Brik' Wahl |
Brik looks at the parts of his body that were mostly revealed, mainly his neck, face and hands and can see the skin physically peeling in places, red raw.
Boolar Rejic |
Was my Magic Missile in round 2 counted? Or do I keep it?

Lord Arthur Ockham |
"Here I come!" With a smile, Lord Ockham patiently tends to his allies' wounds. "You did pretty well against those skeletons", he says to the ratfolk as he heals her, "You and your "pet" were very brave. You have my respect. You and your Whiskers, isn't it?"
Roll for healing yourselves.

Perception check to find secret door: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Imojin |
"Looks like those lizard folk didn't fare so well against the burning skellies in here... " Searches, helping patros
Boolar Rejic |
"You would think some of these monsters would have killed each other before now. They are living in harmony here."
Imojin |
"Yes, Arthur, he's whiskers.. a very bold and handsome fellow, don't you think?"
Lord Arthur Ockham |
After healing his companions, Arthur takes some time to analyze the symbols carved on the walls.

Patros discovers the secret door, but realizes it is locked and you'll need thieves tools.
The heroes also see dead troglodytes on the floor and skeleton, they realized that they must have battled skeletons here.
You realized the temple is dedicated to Nethys, the god of magic.
Lord Arthur Ockham |
"I'm not so sure about the second adjective, milady, but the first one surely fits your Whiskers". Arthur smiles genuinely at Jeannie and pats her on her shoulder. "Are you feeling any better? These wands can do some real miracles, I must say!"
Brikon 'Brik' Wahl |
Thanks Petros.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Recovering the exact amount of damage he received, Brik watched as skin magically healed before handing the wand back.
Thanks. I didn't catch your name, but it's much appreciated.
Lord Arthur Ockham |
As he heals him, Arthur smiles at Brikon as well. "I'm Lord Arthur Ockham. But you can call me Arthur, since we already experienced something important together, isn't it? I didn't catch you name either, I'm afraid", the nobleman says as he offers his hand in order to help Brikon to stand up.
DoubleGold |
All healed up and ready to go, where to, the secret door, or to the fourth floor?
Lord Arthur Ockham |
I can unlock the door, but I didn't have enough money for those thieves' tools...
Imojin |
"I feel great, but I fear my fur will take some time to regrow a bit... and Whiskers does look much better too! thanks!" She turns to Brik... "And yes, we didn't get your name, as you were a bit late to the table so to speak. I'm Imojin, but my friends call me Jeannie... you are my friend now too!"
Imojin |
"I don't ... t-t-t-t...suppose anyone found a key on those dead lizard people... or the skeletons even...? "
Brikon 'Brik' Wahl |
Grabbing the Noblemans hand to stand, Brik brushes himself off and addresses Arthur properly. Nice to meet you Arthur. I gave my name earlier, but we were a little caught up with the dogs outside. My name's Brikon, but everyone just calls me Brik. Are you new to this? It's my first major expedition as a Pathfinder.
Brikon 'Brik' Wahl |
Brik also nods at Patros as he introduces himself.
Other than those two skeletons, we haven't had too much trouble, but let's make sure we all get out of here alive.
Looking to the door, he then aired the only two options that sprung to mind.
I could try levering the door with my Longsword, but bashing it with my shield's more likely to attract unwanted attention.
DoubleGold |
that's okay, there is a key to this room, but none of the creatures have it on them, and you can't break it down, not easily, and Lord only has so much time before his potion wears off as he'd rather not waste his time.
you all go up to the fourth floor and open the door, the frog, the giant frog looks at you with hungry eyes ready to attack.

Moving with his new companions up the stairs, Brik had no idea what awaited him.
A giant Frog? This place is just non-stop action.
After the rest of his new companions made their way forward, so too did Brik, swinging with his sword once more with yet another charge.
