I ended up changing my idea a bit and I suppose it now fulfills more of the tactician role. The character is now a Rogue Liberator 8/Divine Strategist Cleric of Besmara Trickery Domain 8 (what a mouthful)
Divine Strategist
Trickery Domain
Liberator
Still need to pick equipment and traits. As for "assets", I was thinking of a black market business, where Cannon "makes things happen". He is an organizer of sorts. He takes care of all the networking, hires all those to be involved, all you've got to do is tell him what needs to be done, pay him, and he'll take it from there. Are you a farmer whose crops disappear over night? Piece of cake. A lonely wife whose husband has gone "missing"? No problem. Is a new business stealing your customers? Simple. Tavern owner whose bar keeps getting wrecked by adventurers? Hah, easy.
How would I go about quantifying that with gold? Is there a system for a business like that?
Working on a back story. Right now, it loosely involves being raised by pirates, getting jailed and breaking out during his youth. As an adult, he fixes situations and "makes things happen".
Hope this is something you might be interested in.

![]() |

Of course... looks good. A tactician, as you say. Remember, the character should be "good". About a system for business, you can use the Downtime rules.
===================
A question for everyone: How do you feel with Mythic rules?

![]() |

Never mind. I saw this under Trickster and knew Irene was right at home:
You are passingly familiar with almost every subject and have dabbled in numerous fields and activities. You gain a competence bonus equal to your tier on all untrained skill checks. You can attempt all skill checks untrained, even if the skill normally cannot be used untrained.

Theorythmus |

I'm guessing most of our group will be under trickster path due to that being the path is mostly for rogues/bards/alchemists, but works well for anyone trying to be sneaky or otherwise engaged in similar activities.
I would advise against taking Hierophant, Archmage & Champion as those are mostly taken to enhance divine spellcasting, arcane spellcasting and physical damage dealing respectively. Which isn't the focus of the campaign.
Guardian is for "tanking" purposes and Marshal is for "leadership" types :-)
This is of course my opinion from looking at the main text of the paths and some of their abilities. Have looked at most paths except the Marshal path when building those concepts I was talking about

Arthur Cannon |

I really like the idea of a chaotic good criminal tactician. There are plenty of good things that need to be done that govt officials won't get involved with, especially in Korvosa.
As for mythic, I'd probably go with marshal. The character really seems to work well when his allies are within 30 ft and I noticed marshal had plenty of options to keep that going.
I have a question on how you would rule something.
I know you want to focus on minimal combat, and even then, keep it to non-lethal.
This ability replaces channel energy.
master tactician allows me to always act in a surprise round, while underhanded allows me to deal max sneak attack damage CHA/day granted that my weapon was concealed and unnoticed. Does that take unarmed combat off the table? I've heard arguments that you can't conceal your arms and legs so I wouldn't count but I've also heard arguments that unexpected hits would. Could an improvised weapon count if used unexpectedly?

![]() |

I would say that if your enemy is not expecting a punch, your "weapon" (the hand in this case) is "concealed and unnoticed". About improvised weapons, same drill. If you approach with a table leg in "attack position" it is not unexpected. But grabbing a mug and use it to hit in a bar without warning is.
Hope it is clear enough.

![]() |

It looks like I am going to try and take a merciful weapon, though I misread the first post and missed some points. I didn't realize we were working non-leathal all of the time, but I haven't bought weapons yet so i guess that's easy enough to deal with.
The other thing I missed was that I have to be good, I put myself as neutral, that's also easily changed too.
The one thing I am wondering about when it comes to the 4,000 GP limit on items is does it count for non-magic armor that is just made of some material to make it lighter, like Elven Chain?

Theorythmus |

Have been working quite a bit on my character. I think I will be able to "reveal" him somewhere early next week (depending on how my weekend is going to go, but should be finished by the deadline)
I have a question. Seeing as my character will have 2 established identities, I was wondering how much would it cost for a "permanent" disguise. I already have bought different cloth-sets for both identities + some others for when I want to be neither of the two. I also bought a high quality wig (500 GP) and was thinking another 500 GP in high end prosthetics and make-up for the other identity (seeing as he doesn't need to have a disguise for how he originally looks ;)).
I will have some disguise kits for run-of-the-mill "nobody in specific" disguises of course, but they don't seem to be appropriate for an established identity if you know what I mean.
I'm also making a complete rundown of where all my money has gone into, my current tally is :
220000 GP in assets (places of business & housing & some specific crews)
50663 GP in equipment (regular equipment, clothing, alchemical items, magical consumables (up to the given limit), some low cost magical items)
which means my character will still have 29337 GP in savings at the start of campaign

Theorythmus |

First a general question still, I was thinking of having him be somewhere between 40-45 as it would seem strange that he pulled everything off that he did and still be 30 or something ^_^
Was wondering if I need to take into account the fact that his stats would change because he's officially in the "Middle Age" bracket or can I just wave that because it's just part of my background?
Going to put what you asked about in a big spoiler tag, for those that want to be surprised in game ^_^
The 2 identities :
- Aldras Vayne*, owner of the Vayne Trading Company and all assets that come with that (warehouses, a few trade vessels & caravans)
- Damiano, the Duke of Deception. Stage magician and acrobat who performs on an irregular bases in various theaters and other places in Korvosa and on a few occasions in other areas.
*reusing this name from an character I once played on the forums of which the campaign died (liked the name a lot), so the information in that Alias does not pertain to this campaign.
Not certain yet which identity will be the one that received the book with the message (most likely Damiano, but that will become clear below), and whether or not I will make a new alias to actually post with.
So here's the basic premise (expanded a bit on the original background idea, but putting it here in bullet points as it's not finished yet) :
1) His father grew the business over several years and took young Aldras with him to Janderhoff and other places to groom him as his successor.
2) Aldras always had a love for "stage magic" and enjoyed performing in front of his friends.
3) When he was around the age of 15 his father became ill and he suddenly had to step up in his stead as the head of the company. (Obviously with some support from within the family) This meant he had to put a hold on his hobby of being a magician.
4) By the age of 25 he has expanded the business some more (and his father had passed away), but he wants to focus more on his former hobby again. He begins training one of his cousins to run the business. In the meantime he also starts training his tricks again and planning on how to successfully step back from the spotlight as Aldras Vayne and get to the foreground as Damiano. (His stage name)
5) He first starts by doing small performances on the streets and in the inns of Korvosa. Slowly growing his act as he goes.
6) Not wanting to have the magic act tied back to the Vayne name (as such a thing does not befit a business man and such ...), he does several things:
- It will become public knowledge that Aldras Vayne steps down as the head of the company, although he will stay active in the business it will more be an advisory role. Mostly spending his time in the family manor or traveling the world (looking for new potential trade venues)
- He hires a "decoy Aldras". Someone who can take his place for those trips and some of the public appearances when he would be busy himself.
- His cousin moves into the family estate.
- Through various subcontractors he builds the Mercurial Magic Market (a shop for would-be stage magicians and other enthusiasts), with a secret area where he can stay as Damiano after performances.
7) At this point he also starts honing his skills by sneaking into increasingly protected areas.
8) When his act grows bigger, he sees to the building of Damiano's Manor, as a performer of his caliber deserves a good living space and needs space if he wants to think of bigger and better acts ...
9) He keeps perfecting his art, both on stage and while breaking into secure places, eventually learning the art of the shadowdancer.
10) While buying a book, he gets quite a surprise ..... ;)
So currently he spends most of his time as Damiano, while sometimes visiting his cousin to talk business and sometimes making public appearances himself (obviously planned with the decoy taking a "break" for a few days)
People who know of the double life :
- the "decoy" (well sort of, he knows there's a reason he gets payed a lot, but might not have put 2 and 2 together :))
- his close family, amongst whom is his cousin.
Although not a loner, his relationships with other people are mostly superficial.
Hope it makes a bit of sense and that you like it so far.

Ashimar Weilin |

Working on fluff and crunch on the tail/sniper.
The highlighted event also drove him from the first community, before he put roots down in Korvosa. He has two favored community, and I used it to define a break in his life into 2 Acts. In his old community he has an estranged daughter who blames the death of the mother (died during the daughter's childbirth, while Ashimar was out on a job) and the brother on the father. For this, and the sad memories of the highlighted event, Ashimar picked up roots. He is otherwise a homebody in nature, in the community sense, tending to settle into a place and build deep roots.

Theorythmus:
We have a saying over here: "Is not the model, but the millage"
If he is "Middle Age" do the adjustments. Just wrote them somewhere.
The background ideas sound great...
Ashimar: What is ACE? Everything sounds good. About the "favored communities" in this case they would be the different Korvosa's "zones", like Old Korvosa, The Heights or The Shingles.

Ashimar Weilin |

ACE is a name I made up for the group he ran with in another life. Originally it was going to be Archers C___ Extraordinaire (something they as a group came up to call themselves in jest, but clients took to calling the group ACE as the group's reputation grew). Couldn't get something in that "C" slot, so just left it as ACE.
I'll read up on the zones to figure out which ones are most appropriate given the drafted background so far. Easier than I thought: Original favored community is The Shingles, where his work often took him. He has since settled into Old Korvosa. I'll favor The Shingles (i.e. +4) over Old Korvosa (+2), since his more conflict-filled work occurred there. His daughter lives and works in Midland, inheriting the living space after Ashimar left.
The living partner was the face and contact of the now disbanded ACE. He managed to keep a low profile and is only known by a few (at least the two women, can work out who else may know as his life continues forward). The rival's son does not know of Ashimar's existance (it'd be silly for a sniper to be noticed by a kid while readying for his kill). His daughter only knows that his job takes him away from home for irregular but often extended periods of time.
Ooh, I just realized his name begins with an A. I'll make the dead partner's name begin with a C and give the ex-partner a name beginning with an E. Tada.

Ashimar Weilin |

Sorry for the double post. I have a request for a magic item.
As I try to gear Ashimar up, I realized he would light up like a Christmas tree if a detect magic scanned over him. Is it possible to get an item of mask dweomer? This would guard against casual detections at least, although someone intent on uncovering magic items would still see Ashimar all lit up if he makes the Will save (would such an item be DC11 for a 1st level spell?).
School illusion (glamer); Level witch 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a piece of gauze)
Range touch
Target creature or object touched
Duration 1 day/level (D)
Saving Throw none; see text; Spell Resistance no
You mask and manipulate a spell's magic aura to make it harder to detect. Select one spell effect on the target creature or object. You must have either cast this spell yourself or have perceived it by means such as detect magic or arcane sight. Both the desired spell effect and mask dweomer are hidden from detect magic, although more powerful spells (such as arcane sight) pierce the deception if the caster succeeds on a Will save. Analyze dweomer automatically detects both mask dweomer and any masked spell effects.

![]() |

Ashimar: It would only work on 1 effect... So if you have a ring of protection and a cloak of resistance it would need to be "targeted" on 1 of them...
So, for example, A brooch for the cloak that mask it. It would cost 2,000 gp, and you can only have one. Save Throw Will DC 11.
If you ask me is not worth 2,000 gp

So I think I have pinned Irene down finally. Chaotic Good, fights with a whip when she can (but can manage to do lethal damage with the whip if need be) and enormously dependent on her abilities as an orator. Still thinking about shorting myself a little somewhere else to squeeze and extra point or two into Charisma.
Oh, I also dropped the Bard thing. There was a lot of unneeded stuff going on there, plus I end up with about twenty more skill points this way and retain most of the flavor. Here's her Sheet.
There's just a bit more to do with the items.
@Ashimar There's also some possibility that Irene knows you just based on the charitable works and the like.
These skills were important with peers and for navigating noble society. She managed both without sticking out. Being charming and yet unassuming seemed to come naturally to her. When she was fifteen a young noble, Varian Jeggare, came with his father from Westcrown to conduct a business deal with her father. Irene developed a crush on him though he hardly seemed to notice her and over the course of the next year when there was business to done with the Jeggare she would enclose a letter to Varian. In one of his last letters he mentioned joining the Pathfinders.
Foolish and in love, Vesper followed along. She didn’t even see or hear from him after her announcement that she would be joining too. Her career seemed to be little more than mundane fetch missions for the first few months of her commission. But when she repelled a Bugbear attack on a village with only her words people started to take notice. When she wrapped a Mummy-Pirate-Captain up in her whip to hold him while she explained that sailing around the Eye of Abendego with his crew of Mummy-pirates made exactly no sense she came back to a personal visit from her venture captain to praise her. And when she convinced an adult Blue Dragon to provide water for a dehydrated desert tribe all in the midst of searching for an ancient Osirion kings scepter she found a letter from a wowed Varian Jeggare at her home when she returned.
Over the course of her ten year career she become somewhat sought after for her negotiating and mediation skills, though she never really appreciated the fame and longed for a time when she could be unassuming hidden.
Irene retired from the Pathfinders at age twenty-eight and returned home to after her father was accused of murder. She combed the town trying to clear her father’s name and managed to get a confession in private from a fisherman, but the fisherman was murdered by Gaedren Lamm to destroy the evidence. Her father was released, but his reputation was ruined.
She started a wine business to make sure that she didn’t have to depend on her parents dwindling resources. She had kept in contact with Varian Jeggare, now a Venture Captain himself, and used that connection the acquire authentic Chelish grapes from the Jeggare family vineyard. She named her wine and the winery after one of the most prominent mountain ranges in Cheliax, Menador Valley.
She went back to navigating the sultry world of nobles and let her adventuring days fade into obscurity as there’s always new, young heroes in the ranks of the Pathfinders and this was just better for her. She built a rather successful business and gained a fair bit of respect around town, using her position to try and maneuver herself into a position to put Gaedren Lamm.
She was recruited by a mysterious message to join in a mission to save the city and suspects that her being chosen has something to do with her skills and her desire to get Lamm.
Prehensile Whip: You can use a whip as if it were a rope with a grappling hook at the end. Attaching your whip is a standard action, but detaching it is a full-round action.
Framed: The person framed was a family member, perhaps a father or brother. You managed to trick the fisherman into revealing the truth with your skilled tongue, and thus gain a +2 bonus on Bluff checks.
I looked at the recruitment thread and it seemed like you wanted NPCs that were connected to the character that might be used as low level contacts.
Marcelus Rosling is Irene’s fiancée. He knows very little of her time with the Pathfinders or the set of skills that she actually possesses. They met when because he was contracted as a wine buyer for a tavern, The Dancing Pig. He realizes there’s something the keeps hidden, but respects her need to keep secrets. He’s a tall, dark skinned half-elf with a thin goatee who dresses in rather flashy clothing. Though she has done what she can to learn the city, he knows more people than her and knows the city better.
Ira Vesper is Irene’s father who was framed for murder. He is a kind man whose family made their money through control of dock space and shipping in the city of Westcrown. Their old rival, House Jeggare, has grown to be an enormously wealthy one while Vesper has withered due to the issues in Westcrown. Despite that, their family retains some wealth and respect. He moves his family to Korsova to escape the issues going on back home and because of his Chelish heritage and the lack of trust others have for Cheliax, he is framed for murder. Ira is an older man with most of his hair still thick and dark and neatly trimmed. Hints of gray mark the sides of his temples. He is tall, rather thin and pale with faint blue eyes. Before the murder he was considered a very attractive man for his age, but now most try to avoid looking at him.
Elizabeth Vesper is Irene’s mother who spent much of her time before the murder working at a bakery she runs independently. She has since let most of the control over the bakery lapse into the hands of her assistant Mary Wu. The suspicions cast on her husband tended to make people regard her more with pity than with disdain and she lacks her daugther’s knack for navigating social situations. She has always been rather shy and introverted. Elizabeth looks almost exactly like Irene, though with small creases in her face from age and white streaks running back through her dark red hair.
Varian Jeggare is Vesper’s old crush turned, Pathfinder peer, turned business partner. He’s a homosexual and secretly worships Desna instead of the normal evil deities that would be expected of Chelish nobles. Due to his ability to move things easily through port, she could call on him for supplies if there were a need for something hard to get hold of (Appearance in link).
Mary Wu: is the assistant to Elizabeth Vesper at her bakery who has in recent years taken to running the bakery all together. She and Irene don’t get along and try to have very little contact with one another. She is married and has two kids.

Theorythmus |

@Echos, Focused study was already part of my character creation process ;)
Items to prevent magical items from being detected :
Pathfinder Pouch --> it's like a small bag of holding that you can let act like a regular belt pouch and doesn't detect as magical. (@GM, how many of these could one have on their belt, just for reference sake)
Concealing pocket --> can be sewn into most any cloth/leather piece of clothing. Only to conceal very small magic items like ioun stones or other things that fit in a pocket (wayfinder maybe?)
I came across a few problems, namely :
- A non-detection wand costs 13,750 gp when made by a wizard (lvl 3 spell + 50 x the material component of worth 50 GP), which is above the allowed cost. And I'm not certain what type of wizards I'm warding against, but such a wand would provide me with 50 times 5 hours of "protection" and only if they fail a DC 20 caster level check (dc 15 + the wand's CL). I could take a scroll, but wouldn't help a lot I think :) Only item that I found is Amulet of proof against detection and location, but it's to expensive and the caster would only need to make a DC 19 Caster level check. I know it's only D20 + casting stat modifier, but still quite doable for a powerful caster ...
- Secret chest is a 5th lvl wizard spell, so can't be made into a wand and scrolls would have a similar problem as with non-detection
- Obscure Object would work in a wand, as I could get the version made by a Bard which would make it a 1st lvl spell wand.
I also found this topic about Scrying protection.
I found something in the spoilered tag at the bottom of the topic:
"The external walls and roof are comprised of two 1-foot thick stone walls sandwiching two 3 inch-thick iron walls, which themselves sandwich a thin layer of lead sheeting to foil detection spells and spells that affect stone walls."
So any idea how much it would cost me to integrate it into some of the secret rooms I have in some of the buildings I own?
I also looked at the scrying spell, the only thing I see that I can do other than protecting my buildings, is upping my will save. But I'm not certain that would help a lot depending on who is doing the scrying or other divinations ... Any thoughts on your end?
Their is one option in the mythic path abilities, which is the "No One of Consequence (Ex)" trickster path ability. The DC to remember having talked to me isn't that difficult (DC 10 + tier (1) + CHA mod (2)), but I would be under a constant no-detection effect with a caster level equal to my lvl + tier (which would make it a dc 32 (15+16+1) Caster level check to try to scry/detect/... me, before I get to make my will save to resist the effect.)
Wasn't originally planning on taking it as my first tier path ability, but might be the best option?

![]() |

Theorythmus: Let's say you can have one of each. Remember, the plan is for you to use as little magic as possible.
And when doing the "other" stuff, well, it is like basic protection.
About the scrying-proof walls... let's say the rooms are 5x more expensive.

Theorythmus |

Am I understanding that you're talking about people scrying for Aldras Vayne and ending up seeing Damiano doing something? And vice versa, someone searching for Damiano and seeing Aldras Vayne at his family's estate?
Because then I would need almost constant protection I think.
Going to see which rooms I'm going to make scrying/detection proof then :)

Ashimar Weilin |

@Irene There is a good possibility Irene would be aware, if she took the time to find out who is behind the scattered charitable structures. Ashimar tries to be unassuming, but it's more of a habit than overactive attempt to hide on his part.
Speaking of which...here's the working sheet with crunch. He'll probably have a dog, but a horse was contemplated at one point. A hawk has a coolness factor to it, too. I mean, he is a sharpshooter. And a sharpshooter should have a hawk.
@GM I bought three potions of nondetection for when the need arises. Can probably restock on an as needed basis. There is an Amulet of proof against detection and location, but at 35k gp it is way out of our range. Would like a storage room that's against detection, though, since our average-joe hero needs a place to keep some pretty expensive stuff. How much should we pay for a small secret room, say underground, of the bedroom, with a mechanically based secret door. Actually, hold that thought. I may spec one out and then ask you after I have more details of what I'm looking for. I'm picturing a room with two exits - one up into the bedroom and one into the sewers.

Theorythmus |

@Ashimar, and seeing as I had similar thoughts, the gm has also stated, if you want to proof a room against detection methods, it's 5 times its normal price.
@GM, will continue work on my character. Think the amulet will be the simplest solution. Won't ward off everyone, but will work for most "would-be" magical detectives ;)

Arthur Cannon |

@ashimar another point for a hawk: communication. Could be used to signal back-up, or communicate danger to us. Maybe we've split up in a bustling area in search for a mark with you taking point high above us. city guards could be onto us with out us possibly knowing. The hawk could fly above us letting out a call to let us know. It'll require some planning and memorization but it could be helpful. Just a thought.
@gm I've been pondering on an appropriate backstory, I'll try to have it up soon before my week gets really busy.
So it seems that at least three of us plan on having a secret chamber of our own. Would there be any interest in shacking up?
Cannon dedicates his life to creating a network of skilled individuals and I feel that it wouldn't be too unbelievable that he would know all of you. This game would be almost a role reversal for him, because he's become so used to contacting people the same way Alika contacted him (and you). He collects jobs, things that need to be fixed in terms of injustice. Those that he feels he could help, he does. If at any point during the job he feels that help is needed, he calls on other skilled people to assist in some strange way.
For instance, he gets a job that involves breaking someone out of prison. Someone wrongly accused and headed to the chopping block. Arthur enters as a guard, finds the target and needs a way out. The prison is already short some guards due to a stomach bug going around (the guards loves going to a bakery nearby, and it just so happened that the new baker's apprentice has been infecting the guards). An alchemist contact owes Cannon a favor, so he creates a distraction outside when a fake merchant cart explodes across from the prison that distracts the rest of the guards while he and the target sneak out under a veil.
Now, that's a bit exaggerated, but the whole concept is that he's big on planning and involving others when needed. He would most definitely have a scry proof compound.
And I mean, at 5x the price, it'll be a bit cheaper to split it lol

![]() |

First: I think all the people that have applied will be "recruited", I haven't seen a character I don't like.
Second: I am not against you having a team before being contacted by the mysterious summon. You will be recruited individually, but nowhere does it says you don't know, or even work, together before that.

![]() |

Got nothing against hawks, but Korvosa is known by the big number of Pseudodragons flying overhead.

Ashimar Weilin |

Ooh, could I have one of those for an animal companion? Actually, I'll spec the hawk out and see. I wonder if there could be an uneasy truce between this hawk and the pseudodragons up there. At equivalent L9 animal companion, the hawk may be able to hold his own against one and even a few pseudodragons. And, if Ashimar builds a little something of a resting ground for the local pseudodragons as a gesture of peace...

Ashimar Weilin |

More Ashimar stuff. The funny thing is, I had imagined him walking around with a walking staff (quarterstaff) and dagger, as they're less likely to warrant attention. With a pseudodragon roaming, he suddenly looks like a wizard type :).
There's a Mercenary Company that keeps peace at the Row. Will put together details on the others - need overseers of various sorts; apprentice/workers generally taken from the lot at Old Korvos, based on the various recommendations. Will probably need a team of adept or other healing types that help out at the hospital, etc.

Theorythmus |

@Arthur Cannon, seeing as we have 300000 GP of which at least 200000 GP has to be spend on assets, I don't think you'll have a problem making a secure compound of your own. As rooms costing 5 times their normal price isn't that much of a problem with that cash ^_^ I mean my character owns a massive trade company (several warehouses, caravans & trade vessels), a little "magic" shop and 2 big mansions. Of course I haven't warded everything, as he doesn't need his whole mansion to be warded, just a few select parts.
To put it in the words of a character from a TV series I've been watching a lot recently. "He's a very private person." So don't really feel like "shacking" up ;)
About knowing him before the recruiting... You might know either of his public personae for various reasons :
- Aldras Vayne, owner of the Vayne Trade Company
- Damiano, Duke of Deception, extremely skilled stage magician mostly focusing on sleight of hand and dazzling acrobatics.
Most people don't link the two, as Aldras Vayne has been known to go to some of Damiano' shows. He also has been known to be traveling abroad while Damiano was performing (for those who would have investigated both in some detail)
What you might know about his "hobby" :
- There are several unsolved burglaries in Korvosa, mostly of high quality art pieces stolen from (very) secure places.
@Ashimar Weilin, also interesting to know is that the pseudodragons most likely wouldn't mind the hawk that much, as they have a "natural" enemy to deal with : the imps which get summoned by students from the Korvosa Acadamae. Some of them escape or were not fully bound and form small groups.
@GM, if I'm not mistaken the story will start with us going to that meeting place in the message, right? Just asking because I think it will be a very interesting meeting/conversation :-)

![]() |

Right. Somebody found about you all, which is no small feat in itself, and will grant you mythic powers in exchange of your trust and help for Korvosa.
Remember, Korvosa is a Lawful evil city where dìabolism is accepted and encouraged. good guys, and followers of Iomedae or Sarenrae are tolerated at best. Chaotic good followers of Desna are Varisian trash, to be despised and controlled.or worst.

Theorythmus |

Well, Korvosa is "officially" Lawful Neutral, but then again so are the Hellknight orders, as their singular purpose is to uphold the law and they don't have time to waste on trivial things like "morality" ;)
That's the thing with "neutrality", it can easily bend one way or the other, without even trying that hard :)
Not completely certain where Aldras/Damiano is on the spectrum, most likely NG, with lawful and chaotic tendencies depending on which persona he is portraying ;)
His trade business will most likely portray images/references to Abadar.
It's not only trade through import/export, but also secure storage of goods.

Ashimar Weilin |

I'll stay with the hawk for now. The pseudodragon may do some weird things with the balance, and we can decide later if there's a fit after we see how the dynamics of the team go.
I think Ashimar's stuff is close. I've added names and a brief note of the relations in the sheet under contacts. I'll add the hawk stats later today. Ashimar's managed to spend over 90k (thanks to that amulet), as that was no small feat. It's all gear he doesn't use from day to day; kept in his secret room as remnants of a past life. The toughest thing, as it turns out, is the assets. I may just wave some assets into Elina's hands (the ex-partner) and a little bit as ready cash for the accountants. I liked how Sarenae Row looked, and may add a second set - it looks like there are two major zones in Old Korvosa.
I assume some weapons/armor while walking about do not raise eyebrows. Ashimar's going quilted cloth, dagger and staff for his walking about. The pathfinder pouch with a mundane (but very well made) +2 str bow and a couple of quarrels of arrows completes his day persona.
Some of you may be aware of his dojo - The Practical Defense (nicknamed The House of the Clumsy Master by his "peers").

Theorythmus |

Like I said, most likely his actual alignment is Neutral Good, but he will act more lawfully while being Aldras and less so when not :-)
Not certain what you meant with "issues".
Still need to type up the backstory in another form than bullet points, but other than that Aldras Vayne/Damiano is done :)
