I feel bad for them. Now they probably won't have a chance to get the SEC monkey off their backs - unless it was in a rematch bowl game with us. Holy crap that would be an intense setting! Something tells me that game might mean more to them than to us...
Feel bad for OSU? Man I hope that was a joke. I feel bad when they don't lose. Thanks to Notre Dame's season, this may be the first year in several that I haven't come down with the flu. I wouldn't be too excited about playing OSU in a bowl game though.

What about the Zooker? I've heard talk of a game between Florida and Illinois in a bowl. I think that would generate some interest to a national audience. Unless one of us completely falls apart at the end of the season, we should be about the same level in our conferences.
To even get to play OSU, we'd probably have to luck out and win the East, then beat LSU in Atlanta and win the SEC. I'll be surprised if TN and GA both lose again this year after what happened this weekend. Georgia looked stoked against Auburn. Just basically tore them a new shiny from the first whistle to the end. I even saw the TN game, and they looked surprisingly competent on defense finally.
I personally believe that any one of us in the East is gonna whup LSU. That team has been winning despite their coaching. I hope Miles stays at LSU and doesn't go to Michigan at the end of the year. That's a team that gifted with talent and lucky at home. period.
Anyway.
I'm taking Damel silence as indication that they have nothing to add to your travel plan, so I'll forward the plot directly...

Chris C. |

I haven't even thought about bowls. I didn't catch the Tenn game, but I watched the Georgia game until it was out of hand. I don't think either one of those will lose another, but at this point I'm rooting on LSU. Not my favorite SEC team by far, but I'd still like to see the SEC make it to the big dance. The only shame in OSU losing is not being able to see the SEC kick their azz again.
How about them fins? At one point the score was 3 to 2. Yep, not a typo. Man it's painful some days.

If you guys are around and you have a spare evening, we could attempt a short one-shot game to help familiarize you with the mechanic. I don't know if Lori would be into that, but I just thought I'd mention it. Anyway, we need to get together sometime that weekend.

Chris C. |

You guys are killing me. Thanksgiving weekend we usually spend in Horseshoe fishing all weekend. This year, however, I have an aunt whose cancer has just about won out, so we're leaving on Wednesday for Mississippi and won't be back until late Saturday. The doctors aren't giving her more than a few months. We're going to do TG up there. Glad to hear your dad's back on the water. We need to find a way to get together though.

![]() |

Sorry to hear about your aunt. We'll get it together a different time. We may need to mail Kayla's xmas present, since I doubt we'll be in G'ville in December. Maybe we'll leave it with Bev & Bill?
I think dad may have taken the boat out this weekend - his first trip since the surgery. I'll have to touch base with him and see how he did.

That works. We still owe Rachel a birthday present now that you mention it.

Chris,
We probably won't be able to post over the weekend either. Pam's dad has dial-up.
Not gun' do it! Life is too short for dial-up. I'll just take reading materials and use my time to plan future ways to thwart you. You guys travel safe this weekend. Go Gators!

Sari nice roll. Thanks, I will have a beer for you. Or, I am thinking about begging Luke to make some margaritas tonight. Maybe I will have two!!!
Sari and Cha
Yod and I are curious about your general store encounter but do not want to ask about it in front of the father. I whisper to you guys to fill us in later.

Chris C. |

Luke,
When I changed my level, it updated quite a few things automatically, skill points, base attack bonus...I applied my skill points. I rolled for my HD (a solid 8 of 8). I'm now able to remember 3 0-level, 2-1st level, and 0 2nd-level spells, but I do have a bonus spell for each of those levels. Does that mean I get one second level spell? Spec ability is Woodland Stride. Do I get a feat at every level, if so I'll take Track. Because of my less than amazing ability rolls, I'm not eligible for a lot of feats.

![]() |

No on the second level spell thing. You get that bonus spell when you qualify by getting a single spell in that spell level because of your character level. That's the hard way of telling you you'll get 2 2nd level spells memorized per day when you get to 3rd level, but you have none now.
I don't honestly know what that spreadsheet thing is going to do, but one way we can do this is to have you let it do what it thinks is right and send it to me, and I'll check it over.
You'll need to figure your spell points manually for sure. You will get your Wisdom bonus worth of additional spell points. That means 3 for you. The next time you rest, your spell points increase to the new value.

The Cute PDF app does a pertty good job. There are a few things to check when you level. 1st if you are at a level when your INT could go up 4th 8th 12th 16th 20th when you get the increased skill point for your int modifier going up it gives you spell points retoactive back to level 1 , there is a box for skill point adjustment where you can put in a negative amount to adjust for this. 2nd if you have 5 ranks in certain skills it automatically gives you a +2 in the coresponding skill that you get a synergy bonus for having 5 ranks in the first skill, it doesn't show in a column it just applies it to the total. There is a list in the players guide for this. 3rd there are some hidden boxes in the weapon area to select for melee or ranged weapons click to the right of the melee box and the others should come out.
Are you using 5_5_4 of the singin sheet? http://singin.sheet.googlepages.com/sheet
P.S. I have the Players Guide, DM guide and Monster Manual in PDF if you want me to send them to you

Didn't quite catch the synergy thing. I'll probably hit you up again on this if I ever make it to 4th level. I'm pretty sure I'm using that version. I checked the properties of that sheet vs. the one I have and it reads the same for document title.
Email is clkclark@bellsouth.net. Send them on. Thanks.

Yeah, so I obviously confused people by having the side conversation in spoilers in the main thread. That's what I was trying to say with my last post - that if I had extra info to give one of the characters because of something they might exclusively know from their background - that I'd put that stuff behind spoilers and leave it up to you guys to decide whether to share it or not with your companions.
Do you guys want me to use this thread for that kind of stuff instead?
Behind spoilers, or in the free and clear?

I relate it back to regular table play. Most of that stuff would come out in front of everyone and usually it didn't impact the game. I think I would take it out of spoilers unless it's something the character may not want revealed. I think I would still leave it in the other thread though. Your call. I check them both.

Melissa |

Great a monkey that throws poo in his own bed. That was more info then i ever needed to know about you.
On the other, wherever is okay. Just drop a line saying your giving a character some info that they would already know. I just thought that i missed something. I went back over the post and still didn't get it so i posted the confused dwarf thing.

Hey Chris, my parents have Kayla's birthday and Christmas presents at their house. They should be back from Virginia by Wednesday. Do you think you can stop by and get them some time?
Yep. Are you going to see them again before Christmas? If so, I'll drop Mark and Rachel's off when I pick hers up.

We're meeting up at Valerie's, and they're driving, so they can certainly take care of it for us. Wish we could trade in person.....

Chris C. |

We aren't....we're flying out on Christmas day. It was just wishful thinking on my part. I think Kayla would be good for Rachel - she needs a friend that isn't a boy! My parents have offered to go to your work and make the trade there if it would be easier for you.
Flying on Christmas day...that's crazy. Nah, send me their number via email. I have their address, but no phone number. We're going out to dinner with Lori's cousin that lives out past Turkey Creek on Tuesday night. We'll swing by there on the way.
Lori said to tell you we've still got one more day left on our three day Disney passes. They're good until mid March. Let's pick a day and we'll meet you there.

Have you read any of the RA Salvatore books with the dwarf druid Pikel who pronounces it Doo-dad? If not, you should.
Great gods man! If you start talking like Pikel I will conjure up some mean shit to kill your character. Don't make Cha the target for my latent green dwarf hostility.

Just wanted to say I have been doing some reading/lurking over on your PbP thread, and its been great fun to read!
I don't know your intent, but so far your take on the Pathfinder adventure has been funny, action-packed, and has a certain charm in the way the characters interact with each other.
So, pardon an outside opinion, but it's been quite good. You guys look like you are having fun; best wishes!

Couldn't think of any other "great" druids to model my character after.

Thanks for the kind words. I can't speak for everyone else, but my intent is to catalogue every embarassing moment Pam's ever had and somehow work it into the thread before her husband kills me off. :) Happy holidays.

Thanks Alex. As long as everyone is having fun with the game, my intentions are met. It's also good for me to give Pam other targets as outlets for her aggression.
I do think it would help the dramatic tension if I could actually *hit* their characters every once in awhile. It's all good though. They're coming up on the part with the doo-dad eating green dragon...

Other outlets for my aggression?!? You make me sound like some hormone-crazed demented woman. And we all know I'm not! Right, guys?...........I said, "Right, guys?"......anyone?
