@Constantine: Okay, the house motto is "Patience is our Sword" and the blazon is a raven perched atop a tower, on a blue field. Lord Rook's personal arms also include a pen, a sword, and two white lions; yours might have something else, such as the symbol of a knightly order or the logo of your mercenary company.

They are your characters and if you feel it's appropriate for them to show up feel free to have them show up. Being that this is an invitation only party at this point, only one or two characters have a reason to be here.
Take note that since this game is supposed to happen in parallel with Saguinus' game, if your character shows up here that is where they are. This is one of the reasons I've included times, dates, and locations at the beginning of the scene.

Ugh!
That post was SO LONG!
---Edit---
Sonofa! I forgot the bits for Lady Atropa!
---Edit---
Got it up now!
GM Leviathan
Lets try to keep non-immediate ooc stuff in discussion. I don't want the game getting cluttered with what should be in discussion.
GM Leviathan
Just for Clarity, does everyone have their Estates finished?
GM Leviathan
Take that Atropa! "Lord Marshall Foul-mouth, the Lecherous!" lol!
Lady Kyra Rubicon
So if we do have our character show up, it should just be with that alias right?
By the way, I've been putting together my profile for House Rubicon. It's defining traits is that it is incredibly integrated with the Army, its fairly well aligned with the Grand Prince, and is staunchly opposed to a war with Qadira (for a number of reasons, least of which most members are trying to instigate a war with Galt).
Lord "Inkwell" Rook
Also, let me know if the DC goes down for distance perception checks if I'm trained in Read Lips (probably not here, because until he learns otherwise Lord Rook is just at this party to eat fancy food and insult people without them noticing, which he's focusing on)
@Kyra: Make a coat of arms! It's fun!
GM Leviathan
I like that way of thinking Inkwell!
Hmmmm... Out of game knowledge: I'm looking to bring back all the former glory that was ancient Taldor. Galt is on the list. I'm not sure how things will be for your house in this first part of this story though. Create however you're going to create, and we'll see it played out... If you're ok with that.

My estate just needs some tweaking when it comes to the teams, and I have some income numbers to crunch.

GM Leviathan
Ok. I'll look into what you guys have posted and give you a month by month income as I see it.
Ser Constantine Rook
Bah. Hotel internet was down yesterday. Not going to be home until June 29, so things are shoddy from time to time. Work training sucks.
My estate is complete except for a handful of watchtowers I plan on purchasing with guards to keep an eye on them.
Ser Constantine Rook
Gabrielle gets to meet all the fun nobles! The white-haired, recently asylum released hunter was the most interesting one I read about. I love that house, by the way. I have an irrational attraction for monster hunters.

Ack! Autocorrect lost my "from the first person" thought from my post!
Speaking of... The keyboard function for Android phone has been acting really sluggish lately. There has been a sudden increase of noticeable lag while typing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I would also assume that the fact that Cheliax is a nation founded by a betrayal would generate a lot of mistrust as well.

Damn!
Ok, to let you guys all know. I need about 24 hours to recoup. I haven't had more than an hour or two of sleep in the last week, and I'm also taking my girlfriend to a concert for her birthday tonight.
Argue amongst yourselves!
Also, I'll see if I can have someone pop in for an NPC in the form of The Shadowed Hunter while I'm gone. if you want to take it on yourself, Gabrielle, that's fine.
Ser Constantine Rook
Its not just the chelaxian part. Its the priest of asmodeus, ambassador of a dictatorship nation known for betrayal.
Now, subjugating and killing all those who worship Sarenrae is okay. They're just bad people. But slaves? That's just an atrocity! *sarcasm*
Lord "Inkwell" Rook
Also, they literally worship devils.
The Sarenrae thing wasn't about religion. Taldor never had a problem with the goddess herself; it's just that since she's a foreign god, anyone claiming to worship her in Taldor is clearly a foreign spy.
@GM: Take all the time you need! New games always go absurdly fast for the first bit.

I recognize the reasons behind everything that's going on.
I knew this character would be challenging to play, from the start, and yet I still submitted it.
And Leviathan accepted me, because he thought I could make it work.
And I intend to do so.
I just hope that we can tell this awesome story together, and eventually become (dare I say) friends!
Again, I want to iterate the fact that I don't have any problem with Taldans doing their anti-Cheliaxian thing.
Just don't expect Valignatir to roll over without challenging it.
Because he knows Cheliax.
While most of you have only seen the empire from the outside, he grew up in it.
He knows most of the world despises Cheliax and it's archdevil patron, but Asmodeus is who got Val where he is today.
He had no choice but to become who he is, or at least he thinks that's true.
And, honestly, at least it's not Urgathoa, Norgorber, or Rovagug.

It's also entirely possible that Qadira is actually trying to subvert the Empire of Taldor without going against central leadership. The cult may actually be part of a plot to undermine and destroy us.
As for Cheliax, they will get overthrown eventually. You can't treat your people that poorly for that long without a massive rebellion eventually occurring. These young nations, they just don't know better.
Of course, Lady Gabrielle harbors absolutely zero negative opinions about Sarenrae, Cheliax, or anyone else. She is a dear friend to people of all races and countries.

Obviously you have to be an ancient and powerful empire nation before your government can make proper decisions. Unless you follow in Taldor's chivalrous, honest, unified and never glorified steps.
Depending on where Val goes with things, I don't see it being an impossibility. Constantine won't make it easy though!
Lord "Inkwell" Rook
No worries. The GM specifically mentioned he thought you'd fit well into the greater campaign story. Valignatir's just... very open about the whole Asmodeus/Cheliax thing (and yeah, Norgorber is not a friendly fellow).
We've got no problems with you as a player, but your character is definitely facing an uphill battle (he's the interloper here, who needs to learn to learn our ways, because he can't teach his ways to the whole country), and he seems like he could learn quite a bit of humility.

The Cheliax Backstab, it's only a setback. Their people will overthrow the tyrants and return to the fold in time.
Anyways, this baked-in intraparty conflict is a good thing for our campaign! My experience with GMing high level play tells me that the best high-level games are the ones where the players are invested in the setting enough to have dreams and ambitions for their characters. The PCs become incredibly capable individuals, and great high-level campaigns are the ones where the PCs don't have to be spoon-fed the plot, because they have the ability to create plots all by themselves. And investment in the setting, as we are displaying, leads to us creating good conflicts.
This shared experience is going to be one for the Paizo history books!

Honestly, that's how I'm trying to play him.
Very open in his beliefs, as he hasn't ever had to hide them.
As for his humility issue, I purposely have him being quite arrogant. He is used to getting his way, and has problems comprehending what, exactly, humility is.
As for the intraparty conflict, I did see this coming, but what is a party without a little bit of alignment/religion conflict?
Lord "Inkwell" Rook

Err… he’s from Cheliax. He’s learned to hide everything—his feelings on the crown, his objections to certain laws, any transgressions and general mistrust he might feel—except, perhaps, for his worship of Asmodeus. But you don’t survive as Chelixian nobility unless you learn how to suppress just about everything about yourself.
Lord "Inkwell" Rook
@Nev: Is your pixie still invisible? Because none of us have See Invisibility up (though if you dislike the Chelish ambassador enough to sleight of hand a vial of something fun (and nonlethal/something even simpler, like a laxative or vomit-inducer—though Dr Janus might be the only person at the party who can immediately cure poison), it would certainly move something along.
Lord "Inkwell" Rook
Heh. I assumed your Fort save is too high to be actually hurt by poison (though he might detect the taste), and I assumed the pixie wouldn't use anything actually dangerous.
But fair enough. Lord Rook is a grumpy old fellow, and I tend to inhabit my characters a bit too much.
GM Leviathan
I am popping in occasionally to read, but I don't have the energy to think for a post tonight, just so you all know, you aren't without GM.... EVER...."I heard you tinkle..."

No one else understands that reference! And I am disappointed that I do! Secondarily, you should to a little post for Nev! She's all alone with your NPC. =(

Valignatir
Well, there's always rolling a nat 1.
And, Valignatir knows to expect poison. Any drink that he doesn't personally pour from a freshly opened bottle, or a bottle that hasn't left his sight gets subjected to Detect Poison.
No, I perfectly understand. I'm definitely getting into Val's character right now.
