i'm getting low on spells so maybe one more encounter and then rest.

As you wander about the forest park, you find it easy to soak in the delightful change of scenery, especially ignoring the juxtaposition of the burning sky illusion. The dire tiger kind of follows you all around at a safe distance for a while, but largely leaves you alone.

There are a few interesting things that you come across

(1) Along the west wall, there are a number of animal pens with iron portcullises that can be raised/lowered from the outside. The pens are empty, except one that seems to be likely used by the tiger. A quick inspection reveals a small drinking hole that is likely spring fed, or at least refreshes itself somehow. There is also a somewhat recent carcass from a small antelope. There is a magical aura of conjuration that comes emanates from a small rune within each pen.

The tiger isn't too thrilled, though, with you mucking around near the pens, and so at least initially you move along without further incident.

(2) You would have actually noticed this earlier. There is a chute that leads down to the forest park ground level. It seems to match the general direction to the throne room, and it is easy to infer that the giant pit and slide in the throne room leads to this area. The walls and slide are as smooth as anything you've seen.

Hazreem points out the pens and also notes the conjuration aura emanating from the pens, "This must be where the tiger gets its food, the magic conjures its prey. Very interesting. Also that chute is where the ruler would throw anyone who displeased him. We should be able to rest here methinks."

You guys are currently in the D24 area. There is an exit stairway headed to the west, which is where I will assume you are headed.
Also, at the top of the campaign area, you should see a link for "Maps and Art" which will open the google drive directory so that you can see all the Level Maps.

You head up the large brass stairs from the garden chamber and find yourselves in a modest guardroom. Loopholes look out over the garden chamber and on the surrounding roofwalk, while this room continues down a passageway to the north. Just to make sure I was clear, they are on the roofwalk looking out over the City of Brass in prayer. You will only need to sneak if you want to explore the roofwalk.

Ok, two questions. Part of the garden area with the tiger is still blocked off on the third level map (though not on the fourth level one). Did we not fully explore that area? If not, that is fine, just asking. Secondly, You have the top of the pyramid blocked off, isn't that where we went to recover the flame or somesuch?

I can't see the maps from work, but I am guessing it was just an oversight on the Level D map. You all explored a lot and didn't see anything else interesting. It is a ginormous, forested room (10' squares) and so exploring all it thoroughly would take a long time.

Yes, you explored the pyramid. I probably missed that one too. You got Ymeri's breath there, a minor artifact that contains "pure flame".

You follow the circular hall around the upper level of the throne room and quickly see that it opens up into an enormous 40 ft hallway that leads into the banquet halls. Large brass statues of efreet wielding massive scimitars line the hallway. Just prior to the turn to the banquet hall there is a door to another chamber. Skipping the door for now, Hazreem and Pae peek around the corner to the banquet area.

Hazreem pauses and does not advance further, mindful of the haunting the group ran into earlier. He glances towards Bahir and Mah'ysa pointing at the lone janni and then to his own holy symbol.

He wants them to check for the presence of a Haunt.

Hazreem: Do you mean by detecting evil or by some other means like channeling energy?

Bahir steps foraward and concentrates on sensing any evil in the area.

He'll advance slowly until the janni is within the 60' range of his detect evil or he detects another evil presence.

Bahir cautiously moves forward towards the janni, and he comes to the point where the entire banquet hall opens up into view. Four more large janni and the monstrosity that you can assume is the black jinn are engorging themselves at the table to the far south. They instantly respond to your presence with violent intent.

The black jinn lives up to its namesake. It appears to be a powerful large genie, but it is difficult to make out due to the cloud of obscuring dust that hangs around it. The faint howl of winds and the smell of the deep desert seems to linger in its presence(this is obvious when you come closer to it). It has recognizable features such as arms and legs, but they seem somehow wrong and out of proportion.
This looks exactly like the creature you saw from the haunts.

Black Jinn - Free:

A creature of myth and legend. A genie so dark, sinful, and full of hatred may transform into a Black Jinn. You know very little about these creatures, and you wish you had asked Aliya more about it now that you see it.

Pae, moves into position and readies a bolt in his crossbow.

Efreat casts Black Tentacles around the black jinn. Rubbery, black tentacles appear and try to grab the female janni and the black jinn. All of the janni look like they are affected, though the black jinn easily breaks the tentacles’ graasp.

Enemies:
The female janni trapped within the black tentacles all writh and try to break free from Efreat’s spell but cannot. The beautiful forms melt away in their struggles, leading the horrific visage of a ghul, similar to how you saw Aliya. You recall their undead nature, shape change ability, and fire resistance from your past dealing with Aliya.

This ragged creature has decayed skin drawn taut over corded muscles and bony limbs. Its lower jaw is oversized and lined with jagged, bloodstained teeth. Its hands end in black, viciously curled claws, and it has donkey hooves instead of feet. The stench of the grave is strong around it.

The lone janni (red) also charges in and tries to bite Bahir but misses.
The black jinn charges at Bahir while flying and claws at the paladin, timing his attack while Bahir is distracted by the ghul and critically injuring the paladin (67 dmg taken: 66 phys, 1 elec). The paladin looks pretty bad off.

Seeing the awesome power of the black jinn up close, Pae realizes there is little he can do with his crossbow, but steps out and fires anyway trusting his luck hasn't left him yet.

Hazreem casts Scouring Winds , calling forth a windstorm of blinding sand. The three Janni caught in the storm seeth in anger at their situation of being grappled and blasted with sand. (13 damage each)

Mah’ysa deftly moves in and casts Heal on Bahir, likely saving his life. (150 pts gained) Even as the spell of healing washes over him, the Paladin still feels a slight taint of corruption from the darnoc's lingering attacks.(The Darnoc damage taken won't heal normally)

Bahir smites the Black Djinn and attacks all out but quickly realizes that this creature is serious trouble. Only one of his attacks hits and the djinn is able to shake off most of the trouble. (AC38 hits, AC30 does not confirm. Rest of Attacks miss. 40 dmg dealt, 30 taken.

-The female janni trapped within the black tentacles (green, blue, purple) again try and break free but all are unable to do so.
-A janni ghul (red) steps up and attacks Mah'ysa after seeing her heal the paladin.One of the ghul's claws manages to rake across her flesh, painfully drawing blood. (AC29 hits I believe, for 9 dmg and 1 pt of bleed on each of your turns)
-The ghul in the back of the banquet hall (orange) double moves closer to the fray.
-The black jinn rises its arms up and begins to command a storm of dust around it. Faster and faster the cyclone of debris swirls around the jinn until it seemingly begins to take on a life of its own. The djinn grins wickedly at Bahir as it continues to coax the storm into existence.

Glaring at the Janni who had made her bleed all over her nice robes, Mah'ysa dearly wished she could just thrash the creature as it deserved... but she had more important things to do.

Bahir unleashes a flurry of strikes at the Black Jinn, hoping to disrupt its conjuration of this storm. The paladin's first attack misses but he quickly recovers and slashes again. Even while calling upon the storm, the djinn is able to disrupt Bahir's second attack, blocking it completely (block passed).     Pae, moves up and thrusts his genie bane rapier into black djinn. Pae can tell that the genie's magical protection is protecting him from the full damage that the rapier should have caused. (AC36 hits, doesn't confirm. 12 dmg, 2 after DR)

    Efreat again unleashes another volley of Magic Missiles on the black jinn. (22 dmg to jinn; 10 dmg to 3 ghuls)

    Enemies:
    [-]The female janni trapped within the black tentacles (green, blue, purple) again try and break free. This time, one of the ghul janni (blue) is able to break free, though the other two stay stuck.

    [-]The black jinn's terrible electrically charged dust storm comes to full power and envelope most of the fray centered on the djinn - only Efreat is far enough away to be out of the storm. Dust blasts everyone inside the storm and lightning crackles around. The winds have picked up to terrible speeds, something closer to a tornado. You are confident that ranged attacks would be useless in a storm such as this (can't make ranged attacks).

    Hazreem continues attacking the ghul in the midst of the violent storm. All of his airy slams hit the undead creature (4+6+7=17dmg after DR) though it continues to fight.
