dunno whether I can get on tomorrow, so don't wait on me 'till I check in or the combat is over. Tikkle will keep attacking relatively calmly, prioritizing getting the flank with a sneak attacker, and not killing those who surrender.

For next round though:

Tikkle doesn't think about the life he's ended, and lashes out at the remaining rats

Asho, to be fair, you're just barely missing. Try not to use Power Attack next time. Also, I did say you moved around behind the rat.

Even though he was behind the rat, Asho's strike missed, but not by much.

Anyka, now in a better position, stuck her dagger in the rat's shoulder.

The Dark Elf moved to the disabled rat and with little resistance, took it's club. Despite the weapon's simple nature, it felt a little off in his hands. Sized for small creature.

Once more, Tikkle sliced the rat, not nearly as much this time though.

Round 4:
Pharnox, Tikkle, Flynt, Guards, Jin, Terra, Gashka, Asho, Anyka

Flynt continues to stab away.

The rat shifted his hips, causing Flynt's stab to miss.

Facing off against three opponents, the rat attempted a desperate maneuver against the cat.

Dirty Trick: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

The blow to the side of Tikkle's head caused stars to fill his eyes. Blinded for 1 round. Jin, Asho, get an AoO. Tikkle as well, but at 50% miss chance.

Seeing the human as a non-threat, the rat continued to focus on Gashka.

Melee vs Gashka: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

But missed.

Feeling Anyka's blade in his shoulder, the rat turned and swung at her.

Melee vs Anyka: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

However, the pain caused him to miss.

I'm not sure if I'm flanking with Tikkle or not.

Jin tries not to think about the blood staining his clothes or the rat corpses in the room as he continues to cut into more flesh.

Terra continues her non-threatening maneuvers as she flails about being utterly useless. and getting rather frustrated as well.

Terra pokes away: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 2 = 13

Growing in frustration, and seeing that hitting the little creature isn't getting them anywhere, Gashka tries to grapple it instead.

Grab that Rat!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Doubt that does any good either, but it's worth a shot.

Tikkle Swings hard just as the club strikes his head, hoping to hit regardless of his loss of sight.

Pharnox seeing the rat having just thwacked the furred one on the head moves quickly to pick up a rock and strike it from behind...

With Flint's attacks drawing attention away from her, Anyka slips inside the rat's guard, her blade sinking deep into the enemy's back.

Between the blades of Jin and Tikkle, the rat's life came to a bloody end.

Terra and Gashka keep the rat busy with distracting attacks.

Asho, I'm not sure what you want to do with the rat dead. I'll give you a chance recton.

Anyka's blade found it's way to the perfect spot in the creature's back. Flynt saw the rat's eyes roll back in its head and begin to gargle blood.

Pharnox (Actions Declared), Tikkle, Flynt, Guards, Jin, Terra, Gashka, Asho (Possible Rnd 4 Recton), Anyka

So what's left up?

The disabled Rat and the one that Gashka and Terra can't seem to hit.

Then Flynt will go attack the nigh invulnerable one.

Tikkle, afraid to strike a friend in his dazed vision, decides to use his brain a bit. He inhales deeply, turning toward the remaining combatant, and

Round 4 Retcon: Finding his sudden strike missed, and his intended foe then abolished, Ash turns to help Gashka and Terra, swinging again with might...

Asho's strike missed the rat. Seriously, what's with this Rat?

Pharnox's rock went wide as it sailed over the group's head.

With Tikkle's mighty roar, primal fear took hold of the rat. Shaken for 1 round.

Flynt took full advantage of the situation, and stabbed the rat in the side.

On the verge of panic, the rat turned and aimed for Flynt's head.

Melee vs Flynt: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 - 2 = 15
Non-Lethal: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The creature managed to thwack the boy on the top of the skull.

Flynt, Asho, you now get flanking bonuses.

Jin moves to surround the remaining threat and thrusts with his Dagger.

At least Jin does something to the rat. LOL I was so tired I even forgot to turn off the computer before going to bed. LOL

Terra continues to flail about her eyes closed, (not that it makes any difference. she yells out in anger at the rat.

Increasingly frustrated, but bolstered by their superior numbers, Asho lashes out again...

Jin managed a grazing strike against the Rat.

Missing yet again, Terra stomped her foot in frustration, in doing so, a stone cylinder shot up under it's foot, knocking it off balance. With a thud, it landed on it's back.

Rat is Prone. Get him.

Gashka watches in amazement as the stone seems to fly up out of no where knocking the rat down. Trying to take advantage of the rat lying on the floor, Gashka attempts to hit it again.

Apparently I can't hit anything unless it's lying on the floor. LOL

Between Gashka's beating and Asho's blade, the breaths it's last. Looking around the fallen, all you see left is the near dead rat that Pharnox is standing over.

Tikkle, still wired with the adrenaline of the fight, starts walking around the room, sniffing and looking at each aspect of the wall, being careful to listen through any door or opening along the wall.

After a once around, he realizes that he was very hasty in his jittery state. One look at the seven dead Panyas confirmed that he was not ready to deal with looking over a dead body, so he continued to circle the room. Taking 20 if I have the time

Giving Pharnox a sidelong glance, Anyka stalks over to the bleeding rat, dropping to he knees she straddles it, her forearm resting on it's throat, dagger point still dripping blood, less than an inch from it's eye.

"Tell us everything, who is your master and why has he taken us?" she hisses angrily.

The battle over, Ash begins to realise what he has been involved in. He drops the dagger in his hand and feels queasy.

Will save DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

He quickly moves over to the furthest wall and empties the contents of his stomach on the unrelentingly unsympathetic flagstones.

Terra just stands there. she seems confused. what just happened?

she drops the dagger she is holding unable to keep a grip in her confusion.

"I dunno. I didn't like it." Flynt drops his as well and sits down where he is.

Terra glances to Flynt. What do you mean, you didn't like it? I don't even know how I did it. I mean I always kind of felt the Earth "speak" to me. but, I don't know

The rat's eyes grow so wide, it looks like they might fall out at any second. "P-P-Please, Gisp surrender. Master is Master, not know why he take children. Gisp and friends only told to guard this room."

"I was talking about all this." Flynt says pointing to all the blood and death. "That earth thing was kinda cool." He adds with a weak smile.

"How many more of there are you? Where have you taken the others!?" her tone building in harshness though not volume.

Asho convulses a last time and coughs. He gathers himself for a few moments and, true to his father's training begins to take stock of the available resources. He takes a deep breath, then begins the gruesome task of stripping the corpses, trying as hard as he can not to make eye contact with any dead ratling... He can hear his father as he might admonish him:

You did this. Take responsibility for your actions. And make sure you are prepared for the inevitable - this will happen again ere we leave this place.

GM - what do we have here - padded armor and clubs? Anything else?

"Others? Gisp not seen others you speak of. Only Jinx and Master remain. Please, that all Gisp know."

The only gear Asho found on these bodies are their clubs and armor. Unfortunately, it's all to small for any of the group to wear or use.

It's all small size. Sorry.

"Who's Jinx?"

"Jinx cook and Master's harlot."

Well, it surrendered....so, not sure how she'd feel about killing it without a reason.

Seeing the destruction around her and the blood on her fist, Gashka feels a little sick herself...but, she knows that they have to keep moving to find Narima and get everyone out of this place. Trying not to look at the face of the dead rat creature, she wipes her hands off on whatever it's wearing. Looking around she sees Anyka atop of the other seriously wounded rat. Hearing the conversation she walks over to the two of them and stands over the rat glaring at it.

"What do you know about your master? Do you know how to get outta this place? Gashka stands close to Anyka as she waits for an answer.

"Answer her! How do we get out?"
