Hey, Fawziya! With the Adventurer's Guide out now, you think anything in the Al-Zabriti chapter would work for your character? The Asavir prestige class looks like something Fawziya would be really good at!

I've taken a look at it. There's a few issues I have with it. The first is thematic - the Al-Zabriti are devout worshippers of Sarenrae and oppose Rovagug. Fawziya is a Caydenite, so while I could see a religious conversion at some point, right now, it doesn't make a lot of sense. The other is mechanical. It places a lot of reliance on your horse, and I chose a cavalier archetype that delays getting a mount, mostly because mounted combat rarely pairs well with APs. I mean, I think it would work better in this AP than in, say, Shattered Star, but take a look at how many encounters thus far that mounted combat would be inappropriate for.

Elemental Ray (Sp) You can unleash an elemental ray as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This ray deals 1d6+1 points of fire damage You can use this ability 6 times per day.

Eschew Materials

Finding Haleen You never knew your parents--perhaps they died when you were a child, or maybe you were taken from them and raised elsewhere as a slave. You owe your sanity and your life to a woman named Haleen.

Low-Light Vision In dim light, catfolk can see twice as far as humans.

Natural Hunter (Ex) Catfolk receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception, Stealth, and Survival checks.

Resistance to Fire (Ex) You may ignore 10 points of Fire damage each time you take fire damage.

Sprinter Catfolk gain a 10-foot racial bonus to their speed when using the charge, run, or withdraw actions.

Trustworthy People find it easy to put their faith in you. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Bluff checks made to fool someone. You also gain a +1 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks, and Diplomacy is always a class skill for you.

Personally, Gnoll always seemed like a language that was very much made of animal-like sounds. Yips, yaps, grunts, growls, and the like. But that doesn't really help you with what you're going for, does it?
