Sorry for the lack of updates, my schedule has me out of the house (and away from my source books) largely from 8:30am - 11:30pm. Goes on for another couple weeks, but should be able to sneak in an update here or there in the meantime.
Yay! More orientation shifts at work for me! (sarcasm) But in all seriousness, you will see some slowdown on my part in updates, but please but assured I will not go dark on you or abandon any games. I'll update when I can but between schoolwork, internship work, and work work, I'm gonna be a bit swamped. Should hopefully have more consistent breathing room sometime between one and two weeks.
Work switched me to an overnight schedule temporarily and it's playing havoc with my posting schedule. This week should be better as I adjust, but I figured I should give a heads-up (because I'm terrible about that).
It really does! Between the hassle of using BBCode tags and always fearing that the forum monster might eat your post for lunch, not to mention how much longer it takes...
If we can't open the door with a Strength check, our options are either try to break it down with weapons or report back to Almah. What does everybody think?

Well, I might be able to take 20 on the check. Not sure what that fungus/mold is, but honestly, Fawziya wouldn't be concerned about it. Any objections to her just putting her back into it and attempting to force it open?

I'm back, folks! BOY was that in interesting little vacation! I went to see the memorial plaque for E. Gary Gygax in Lake Geneva, and as it turns out, the resort I was staying at is where GaryCon was being held at! While we left before I could see the actual Con, I know it's there to go next year. And then we visited The House on the Rock, in all its weird glory. But now I'm back, and I'm posting! :D

The House on the Rock is every bit as weird as it seems like it would be when Gaiman describes it in American Gods, and yet it's 100% real. The carousel is only about halfway in, if I recall - there's weird collections before, during, and after it.
Just to keep you all in the loop, during the no-new-notification incident (where forum games weren't alerting folks to updates), I had a member of my family pass on.
As such, I feel it fair to inform you that I updates might take longer than usual (which I know, is plenty long of a wait already) and if you feel the need to drop out of a game I'm DMing or drop me from a game I'm participating in, I understand.
That said, I do hope to update within a couple days as I could use the distraction as the usual business of these events tend to warrant. Thank you for your understanding.
I'm back from vacation in California! Ye gods, am I back. Everything went fine until the return trip. We wrecked twice in Colorado due to a run of bad luck and worse weather. Everybody's fine, and there was only minor damage to non-essential systems. I have nothing but bad to say about Colorado's weather, but nothing but good to say about Colorado's people.
It looks like I'm not the only one who's been away. Glad you had a great trip, Zoisa!
DM, I'm so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you and yours and you'll be in my prayers. Aside from leaving for Cameroon at the end of May and whatever that might do to my posting ability, I'm still here.
Gotta get the next map loaded up, hopefully done tomorrow.
Quick question, how would you guys feel about a party of 7 (three additional players from my other legacy of fire game. They seem pretty eager to play, and I'd have to ramp up the encounters, but wanted to get your thoughts.)
Human Cavalier (Standard Bearer) 2 - HP: 21/22 - AC 18/T:12/FF:16 Fort: +5, Reflex: +1, Will: +0; Perception: +0
Pah! Fawziya can take on these ramped up encounters by herself! It is fortunate for them that she will gladly share the glory of these inappropriately CRed challenges with them!

What are the classes we'd be absorbing? If we add three more without one of them being a class with some good healing skill, we will find things getting very challenging to survive.

Hello everyone! I'm the group's fiery and bookworm sorceress, Josria!
In our previous adventure, Josria found a book in the old monastery's library so hopefully once we cleaned up the rest of the temple, she can start reading it! I just noticed that Zoisa also found the book here.
Also, I noticed that Zoisa and I both share the same campaign trait: finding Haleen. Since Josria's reason for finding her is more romantic (the carfolk is in love with Haleen), while the gnome treats Haleen more like a sister, I guess our characters know each other. Also who killed the big king pugwumpi? In our game I killed it. If possible whoever killed it in this game could start a friendly rival with. Something like the one between Gimli and Legolas. Just an idea.
So how did y'all want to do this in terms of what happened in our game and in this game? Do we do some sort of retcon or something?
So yeah, there's gonna be some wibly wobly timey wimey stuff, but we'll get it sorted. I was gonna introduce the integrating party as reinforcements, and we can play it as that angle. players original to this game, please treat the newcomers as new arrivals. New arrivals, you have just defeated a pugwumpi king in another section of the old monastary, and have just caught up to the others. Feel free to rp and introduce yourselves.
