@Bastion: I'm going over your crunch and having some issues.
Offense: Your attack numbers are off in general. For example, your attack bonus with a masterwork short sword should be +6 (+1 for the MW, +1 BAB and +4 STR modifier). Likewise, your Dagger, Cestus and Tekko-Kagi attack bonuses should be higher. Your Composite Longbow's bonus should be -2 because you aren't proficient in it. You're also wearing armor you're not proficient in (a breastplate is medium armor) so this'll give you a -3 penalty to all attack checks. -4 if you are using your tekko-kagi as a shield, which you are also not proficient in.
Skills: You miscalculated your armor check penalties. A masterwork breastplate is -3 and not -2. -4 with the shield.
Please double-check my numbers and tell me how you want to resolve the issues. Or explain how they aren't issues. Either is good. :)
You can find my work-up of your character sheet by clicking here.

I dont have a shield, Im not proficient with armor its masterwork, I am proficient in Teko kagi, using it as a buckler does not give the same penalties and only the Armor as that is a property of the weapon at all times. The ranged is for usage in which case I will spend the Move action to gain the feat to use. The minus should be one higher thats about it for skills, originally I had the trait that gave armor check reduction. So there really arent any issues Those are called typos.

@Dorian: You're missing a few things from your profile. You don't have a background set. I'd like to see one that explains your being a barrister who knows anatomy and is death touched. That should be fun. :)
Also, what did you put your preferred class bonus into? I'm having trouble telling here. It doesn't seem to have gone into HP or skills.
Here's my crunch of your numbers. Please check it and make sure I'm good.

Masterwork armor reduces the penalty by 1. So you go from a -4 to a -3. Having masterwork armor doesn't replace the need for proficiency, though. You'll still have the -3 penalty to attacks while wearing it unless you spend the Move action to gain the feat as per your class feature.
Also, you are using the tekko-kagi as a shield because you've got it listed in your AC bonus. You're right, though, you are proficient in the tekko-kagi so I'll remove that penalty from the sheet.
So long as you are getting the AC bonus from the tekko-kagi, though, I will rule it gives you a skill check penalty.

@Bastion: I'll touch it up a bit later. This helps me sort things out. I just wanted to be sure you understood that, going in, while you're wearing your armor you're effectively at a +3 attack bonus for your short sword, +2 for the other smaller melee weapons, -4 for your earth breaker and -5 for for the composite longbow.
@Lilia: I've balanced your sheet and everything is good except your languages. You get 3 more. Please pick them so I can add them in?

I really like the page you made. The numbers all look good.
I put the preferred class bonus into 1/4 panache points.
Background:
* Fifth son of a remotely noble family.
* Went to good schools -- Was supposed to become a lawyer, like his father.
* Instead, he got into trouble running with a bad crowd. Lots of drinking, carousing, etc.
* Whole crowd started doing mad scientist stuff -- alchemy, seances, flesh golems, etc.
* Dorian showed an aptitude for taking apart the bodies -- not so good at putting them back together, though.
* Crowd got caught. Dorian's father had (just) enough power to get Dorian off the hook, as long as he left town for a while.

Gil's sheet balanced correctly and is good to go.
Tobias' sheet balanced correctly and is good to go.
Moving onto the Blue Quartz group now.

Gameplay has begun! Feel free to continue the pre-lottery ceremony RP, though. Simply put it in a spoiler and mark it 2nd of Diamond (Kobold's Tail Inn). Like so:
I love "downtime" RP and encourage it, even while the main event is going on, so to speak.
Side note: Bastion has paid (with funds we'll pretend he had all along) for your rooms at the Kobold's Tail Inn for the next ten days. This includes meals. You aren't actually staying in the Inn (except for Tobias, who already had a room there) but in a building next to the Inn that has been rented out because of how many people are staying there for the lottery. Gil can obviously stay in his own home.
I know most of you or veterans of play-by-post but in case you are not here's some tips that'll help:
- Feel free to roll things in advance. In other words, if you want to make a Knowledge check to see if you know something or a Perception check to scout out a room or a Diplomacy check to Gather Information, make the roll in the same post that you announce intent in. I'll make adjustments as needed based on circumstance or tell you if the roll is the wrong one.
- Be aware that I'll often roll for you to speed things along. This is especially true when it comes to Initiative and Perception checks. I will, however, show you the rolls I make so you know there was no cheating.
- Anything your character says should be bolded. Anything your character thinks should be italicized. Actions and descriptions should be in normal text. Use the ooc dohicky to say things directly to me or your fellow players.
- If you look down below the post you'll see a "How to Format Your Text" button. Click on that and you'll see a list of formatting commands that work here, including dice rolling. Very useful.
- I won't be giving out XP. Instead, you'll level up at specific points in the story. I think that'll help move things along and keep focus on the IC events and not the OOC ones.
- Eventually we'll be bringing maps into this. When we do, I'll post a link to the map. We'll be using these maps for both exploration and combat. When in exploration mode, I would like you to move your tokens on the map just like you would if you were in combat - you don't need to stick to movement rules in terms of squares per round but if I have a visual of where you are in a room I can better plan and describe what's going on.
That's it for now. I'm working on a "J's rules for the campaign" list but that might be a few days off.
Thanks for playing. I hope you enjoy the game!

Dorian Quartz |

@Dorian: The only problem with that background is, if you are from Quartz, they don't have nobles. They do have merchants and the wealthy, however. Also, could I maybe have that background in a bit more of a prose form instead of bulletpoint?
Dorian is the fifth son of a wealthy family. His father, and three of his brothers are lawyers. His immediately elder brother is just about to finish his apprenticeship to a lawyer and get his certification for it. Dorian was supposed to go to school like his brothers, and he did try to make a go of it, but instead he started going about with a group of ne'er-do-wells.
In addition to carousing, drinking, and wenching, they began to get involved in occult investigations. A few started doing alchemy, other seances, and still others, including Dorian, started investigating making flesh golems.
Dorian showed real interest in taking apart the bodies. Unfortunately, he wasn't very good at putting the pieces together.
Their grave robbing, explosions, and some actually successful summonings got the group in trouble. Most of the others were punished, but Dorian's father was able to call in a few debts to have Dorian not punished, as long as he left Quartz for at least a year.

@Bastion: That's the image your icon comes from. I had to do a little searching to find it but it is in the Pathfinder Society Companion.
@Lilia: Go ahead and get the armor. We can say you picked it up at the lottery.
And let's see... the lottery is about to begin and none of you are standing as a group. Tobias is drugged out of his gourd. This is an interesting start... :)

Bastion Augusta Raphiel |

He is literally paying for your services this would be part of the contract, he's even giving it to Tobias who is clearly a rich spoiled bastard..
Your hired by Bastion and payment is part of that, which includes acknowledging his rank and orders. Unless you have an RP reason of something he would take in exchange as a payment to you.
Dont worry GM I am on target with expenditure,

Gil Odalis |

Because I am an employee and liaison of the Breakers Guild first. Your contract with them determines the terms of my service but doesn't necessitate you paying me in gold. My payment was simply your agreement to bring me along were your group to win the lottery.
Outside of the game I have no need of additional gp, thus I'd like to politely decline.

Gil Odalis |

Right, well. In the event that Bastion does not post in time for others to respond consider the following for each of your characters before entering:
If anyone has questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to speak up.

By the Craft (Alchemy) rules, Lilia needs a week and only has an evening. I'm happily willing to use the Spontaneous Alchemy rules from the Pathfinder Player Companion: Alchemy Manual, however, which speeds up alchemy considerably. Note, Spontaneous Alchemy is more expensive than standard alchemy because it requires purified ingredients (standard alchemy assumes the alchemist is purifying as part of the process). Also note Spontaneous Alchemy requires tools not part of the standard alchemy crafting kit.
Make sure you use what I have here. I changed some prices for ingredients from the Alchemy Manual because I felt they were too high. In some cases it costs less to buy an item than make it!
Here's what she'll need:
Antitoxin
Ingredients
- 7 units of gold (3 gp each = 21 gp for the batch)
- 17 units of myrrh (3 sp each = 5 gp, 1 sp for the batch)
- 23 units of urea (3 sp each = 6 gp, 9 sp for the batch)
Total Cost: 33 gp
Ceration process using a Crucible (20 gp one time cost to buy a crucible) DC 25, taking 10 minutes per dose created.
Antiplague
Ingredients
- 7 units of gold (3 gp each = 21 gp for the batch)
- 2 units of mugwort extract (2 gp each = 4 gp for the batch)
- 30 units of ginger extract (3 sp each = 9 gp for the batch)
Total Cost: 34 gp
Filtration process using a Crucible DC 25, taking 10 minutes per dose created.
Smelling Salts
Ingredients
- 20 units of salt (3 sp each = 6 gp for the batch)
- 17 units of brimstone (3 sp each = 5 gp, 1 sp for the batch)
- 2 units of silver (1 gp each = 2 gp for the batch)
Total Cost: 13 gp, 1 sp
Distilation process using a Retort (2 gp one time cost to buy a Retort) DC 20, taking 10 minutes per dose created.
---
We can also handle Knowledge and Diplomacy (Gather Information) checks as people indicate needs be done.

Tobias Taviston |

You'll find the cost for making antitoxin and antiplague exceed the gold you can provide as well.
You'll also find however that Tobias always comes prepared and has already prepared a batch of both.
