Govannon smiles as the Carnifex plants seeds and Flaith takes the scepter, "A very regal thing my lady."
He helps dole out the other items fairly so there's an even amount of cash for everyone.
Party Divvy! Everyone gets 1,250gp, except Flaith who takes the scepter and 650gp.
He speaks of the dragon parts, "I've already got such an amulet and am not interested in the armor possibilities. I wouldn't mind a tooth though... as a souvenir." he does what he can to pull a tooth, which may end up being something like smashing the jaw to get it out, but he does what he can.
"Before we all depart for our separate kingdoms, I want to invite you to Kopec in the coming weeks. I plan to investigate a tribe of lizard folk in my territory and could use a little backup if things go wrong. With luck, it'll be just another outing like the fey, but I haven't had any contact and know little at this time about what we face."
"So if you're interested, let me know and we'll coordinate schedules."

I hope to visit the Lizard Folk this month with or without others to join in. If the other lords do not join, he’ll go in with a small squad of troops, just to show some strength, but certainly not large enough to threaten their village. Like a half dozen or so of his finest. His goal is to make this a diplomatic mission of peace between their peoples not overwhelm them with fear.
Govannon hosts the first Swallowtail festival of his fledgling Kingdom, and he spends a little extra to make it a wonderful affair! Can he put an extra BP into the celebration to make it extra special? I expect no particular benefit, it’s just Govannon’s nature to be generous. The memory of the plague is so recent, he really wants the citizenry to see this as a corner turned, a new day in the Kopec Barony. As there hasn’t been enough time to properly trap and husband a kaleidoscope of butterflies, Govannon participates in the ceremony with a single butterfly, showing a simple new beginning.
He’ll spend some time in the month searching for an entomologist or three. He wants to establish a team who’s job it is to cultivate butterflies throughout the barony (good for the plants too), but also so that a large kaleidoscope can be released annually into Vista on the first of Rova.
Nearest seems to be a Craftsperson (profession I suppose, with some knowledge nature) for 200gp up front and 4gp payout. Not sure if that’s a good fit, so let me know what the cost should be, and what the payout is as Govannon slowly builds up his downtime teams (though this will be a donation to the city as he’s giving away all the butterflies - so I won’t take any income from them). Also, he plans to develop some Elite Archers. Can I buy them cold, or do I need to buy laborers, and go through all the upgrades each month? Happy to do so if I need to to show progress. Just let me know.
- - -
Govannon pens a few letters around, In all, he thanks everyone for a good time dealing with the fey and the dragon. He praises their teamwork, and foreshadows the mightiness of the kingdom to come through their combined efforts. He suggests that they try to get together regularly, if only to keep tabs on each other, and wishes there was a faster method of communication other than runner.
He also mentions the Lizard Folk to his west and suggests he’s headed that way sometime after the Swallowtail Festival, a day of celebration in his kingdom and the only formal nod to Desna from his government (on the first of Rova). He again invites you all to join him, continuing, ”I expect little from this first meeting, but I hope to lay the groundwork for future dealing with their tribe. If you care to join me, please let me know your schedule so we can coordinate and have a celebration of our own. Thanks!” signed, Baron Govannon

The Swallowtail Festival was nice last month, but it’s a little high-brow for Govannon’s taste. However, the fun of the Pig Run Festival cannot be beat! Pig races, wrestling, and of course roasts abound throughout the land and Govannon does his best to be at every celebration, however small. He rides his big stallion ‘Indigo’ from event to event in a frenzy. His guard has trouble keeping up.
Days later, and long after the last pork leftovers were eaten, he’s pouring over the books and looking for ways for his kingdom to make more money. Can’t build without resources, and resources are scarce after the plague. He ponders late into the night working with his advisors to plan ahead.

Oh, and for the map - I have fisheries in my capital and the SE hex from my capital which are not currently on the map if you want to add them.
- - -
Govannon pens a few letters to his allies, the first to his Queen, Flaith. ”My Queen, I have discovered the Mivon people near my southern border. I fear my planned expansion will put me in direct contact, and therefor possibly conflict, with them. I shall endeavor to make diplomatic overtures once I know more about them and will report my findings.”
To everyone he pens, ”Good news! Though it’s on the other side of my Barony, the Barony is yet small - but I may have found a second thing for use to do while you’re visiting next month. As I mentioned, I hope to make diplomatic overtures to the lizard folk to my west, but scouts have found a giant apex predator on my eastern flank. Something akin to an Owlbear, they think, but if so, it’s the largest of the species ever discovered! It would be lovely to have a hunting party after we speak to the lizard folk if you all can manage a few more days.”

DM Thron |

One by one, the various barons and baroness arrive in Kopec at Lord Gittins request. Dolgrin puffs on his pipe as his wagon rolls into town, and greets Govannon with an un-baron-like hug and clap on the back. ”Greetins, Lad! ‘Ow ave things been? An’ ‘ave tha others arrived yet? I ‘ave somethin’ fer tha lot o’ ye!” he says with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
Any preparations/RP you guys wanna address before heading out?

Galendir d'Arden |

Galendir rides in seeing his two fellow Baron's exchanging greetings.
"Greetings my fellow Baron's. I see the two of you are doing well. I am happy we are going to talk with the lizard folk, I'm sure they are feeling closed in on. They will make a fine addition to your Barony Govannon. Another monster hunt as well. I train with my wife and men to keep in practice but none push me. I need to test my skill. I hope as we continue to grow I will have a chance to do so. I am hoping to open my school in the next few months."

Govannon Gittins |

"Greetings all and welcome to my humble barony!” And humble it is. Govannon is a simple man, and his barony reflects that, with little pomp and ceremony - save what is required and proper naturally, but little else. You can also see the cracks of stress on the poor man as he continues to rebuild after the financial and other losses suffered due to the desperate plague.
Still, he makes all feel welcome as they arrive, and has put them up in the finest rooms he can muster, though they are a little cramped and not quite as fine as perhaps they should be. ”My focus has been on the people, you understand…” he replies with an apologetic smile. ”But we’re making real progress!” he adds, stuffing an unlit cigarette between his lips for sustenance.
He hugs Dolgrin back with intensity, ”It is good to see you. I hope things have been well to the east? Find anyone stirring on your eastern border? I've had some movement on my southern, and hope to make a report to the group.”
He’s more formal, but just as friendly, with Galendir, ”Yes, I hope the Lizardfolk will join us and add a little diversity to our cause. But I too am excited at the hunt. Who knows, we may find nothing, but we my just find the largest owlbear on record! Are you opening a combat school? That’s an excellent idea! I am planning a mage school if I can get the money together. Something grand.” You can see the stars in his eyes as he dreams the dreams of a wealthy man who does not quite have that wealth as yet.
Also, was I able to hire some Entomologists (link) last month? I’m not drawing any income from them as I’m donating the butterflies they produce to my kingdom, but wanted confirmation they were hired (so I can remove the 200gp cost and note it in my campaign notes).
Thanks!

Lucius you can't build two buildings in a turn. You did Brewery and Cistern above. Only additional buildings you can do are houses. Paizo boards were going crazy yesterday again an ate a post :(
"Indeed I am Gov. A Kitharodian Academy branch here. It will improve and keep my standing as well as allow me to train others in both combat and bardic arts. My fighting is rooted in the worship of Sarenrae so a temple to pay honor to her will be in the future as well. You seem to be recovering well after your hardships. I'm sorry I could not send more aid, I was dealing with the same thing. I hope it helped. On that note if needed I can lend you resources. It will delay my academy, but it would be meaningless to prosper if my fellow baron's struggled. We can talk business later. For now let us enjoy your hospitality and have a drink while we await the others."

Govannon Gittins |

Govannon greets Lucius with the same energy as the others and makes him feel welcome - pouring him a large drink. "Good idea for a translator. I hand't thought they might not know common. Silly me indeed!"
He continues his conversation with Galendir, "That Academy sounds wonderful, I shall have to visit when you have it open. I think the cool forest air helped you with your plague. I don't believe the lizard folk suffered from it either."
"As for a loan, I think I'll pass. I'll just be a little slower for a time is all, and perhaps I'll never catch up, but to be in debt would only slow me further I fear. Thank you however, and I shall keep you in mind should I ever need it. You are most generous." he grins.

Govannon Gittins |

"Well, my scouts were fearful of confrontation, so I pulled them back to avoid an incident. My understanding is it's just a village, but I really don't have good research on this as yet. We'll just have to be careful." Govannon grins in anticipation of the adrenaline flow when they're in the field.

Dolgrin Girndmar |

As the entirety of the Baroney arrive, Dolgrin grins and says ”Ah! Now tha’ yer all ‘ere, I kin give ye all wha’ I’ve been workin’ on in commemoratin’ our recent vict’ry!” as he moves to the wagon he arrived in and begins collecting some items stored away.
To Govannon and Galendir he hands each an oak case that, when opened, reveals scabbards made to fit your swords. The scabbards are made of red dragon scale and decorated with bits of dragon horn. ”I figure I got tha dimensions close enough,” he says with a wink.
To Lucius he hands a similar box that contains a pair of smaller scabbards made to fit the blades of Carnifex. He smiles politely, but his words carry a hint of disdain in their tone, ”These are fer yer masked friend. Tha one who came an’ ‘elped us kill tha beast.”
Then, to Flaith, he reaches into a small pouch and removes an elegant silver chain that has dangling from it a pristine red dragonscale. ”An’ fer the Baroness, I wasn’t quite sure wha’ ta make fer ye, but figured a bit o’ jewelry wouldn’t ‘urt!” The scale seems to glimmer in the sunlight, unlike the scabbards. It is almost as if it has been polished and treated in a way to make it reflect and bend light like a gemstone rather than a scale. Despite its crude origin it is actually an eye-catching piece.
Any final preparations before the five of you head out?

Govannon casts Ablative Barrier after breakfast as he does most every day. ”I do hope they speak common, or this will be a short trip!” he chuckles, somewhat nervously. He mounts his ready steed Indigo, and rides out to the west to see what can be done about the neighbors.

The group gathers their horses and hops on a ferry across the lake to the western shore, just north of where the Murque River empties into the lake. Once disembarked, you begin to make your way along the northern bank of the river towards where the scouts of Govannon and Galendir report the lizardfolk to be residing.
Govannon and Dolgrin seem to be in jovial spirits, talking and joking with one another as they ride at the rear guard. Galendir and Flaith ride side by side during the travel as well, with Lucius riding at the front of the troop. The latter three are not as distracted by conversation, however, and notice strange rustling in the trees and odd ripples in the algae covered river. Just as the three of them all notice the danger and prepare themselves, a muscular lizard-man hops on top of a rock to their north and cries out something in their own language, and several more reveal themselves from hiding!
