So, after a brief glance through everyone's campaign histories:

Game choices:

Possibly non-repeat APs:
Curse of the Crimson Throne
Legacy of Fire
Kingmaker
Serpents Skull
Jade Regent
Shattered Star
Mummy's Mask
Giantslayer
Hell's Vengeance

Along with:
Emerald Spire Superdungeon
The "Falcon's Hollow" Module line gets up to level 8ish?

We could also do the "We be goblins" quest line for comedy kicks, maybe try to play into a modifed Runelords after as the otherside.

Some repeat:
Runelords
Second Darkness
Council of Thieves
Carrion Crown
Skull & Sackles
Reign of Winter
Wrath of the Righteous
Iron Gods
Hell's Rebels

As a note, I have material for everything "Wrath of the Righteous" and older, as well as the first 3 books of Hell's rebels. I have no qualms with the newer stuff I don't own, but tie breakers will lean towards material that has already been obtained.

Character creation:

Books: Anything put out by Paizo is fair game except anything with the Occult.

Races:As weird as you want as long as you can convince the rest of us ;)

HP: Max at first level

Skills: Background skills will be allowed

Stats: 25 point buy

Traits: You will get 2 traits

Classes: Anything from Core, APG, ACG, UM, UC, or Unchained is allowed

So many possibilities. i would prefer not to do Reign of Winter or Skulls and Shackles but I'm open for pretty much anything. I'd even play either of those if others wanted to.

This is Gad'larr here. (My generic voice.)

Notes for me:

I am currently playing IRL Legacy of Fire (in the last book Playing as a Mythic Heirophant Gnoll Druid of Seranrae)

I have played and finished IRL Reign of Winter. So those are duplicates for me.

Started Skulls and shackles with my Wife as GM (sooo...much...fun...) but we had to quit when she got pregnant. Got about half-way through IRL.

I really am not (stressing the NOT) interested in playing Hell's Vengence. I don't like playing Evil Characters. Sorry.

WotR would be interesting for our group if we played with the Mythic rules. (Mythic can get a bit silly-powerful from time to time...but its fun if the GM can put up with it.)

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

I'm not familiar with Mythic rules, sounds badass though. Heh and with strong chatacters come strong enemies. I'll look into it.

Not a Doctor. 10th level Creepy Dead Guy in a Red Shirt

Oh yeah...Mythic baddies are BAD...so yeah. The main thing is that Mythic makes the normal become super normal. You are basically juvenile Medieval super heroes.

But like you said...watch out for the Supervillans.

Think a Minotaur is bad? Face a MYTHIC Minotaur. (As in the 1st Minotaur ever born...) Dang.

WotR is best with Mythic because it was designed for it in mind. So Mythic Demons galore is my guess. Not looking forward to the Mythic demoness with 6 arms and a snake's tail. (Name escapes me!)

It also (as I understand) includes a unique Demoness who can have CN worshipers (clerics and such). Nocticula as I understand. The 1st succubus and a minor goddess?

Also..

There are some crazy weird rules in Mythic that my existing GM nerfed to make them bearable. If you are interested, let me know and I'll send you his basic Mythic nerfs that make sense and keep the game flowing a little easier for everyone.

Iv'e got a real life game of WotR right now. I have decided I hate Mythic rules... the power level is silly. We had the GM decide to give one of the NPC's unlimited Hit Points... We did over 600 hit points 0f damage in 3 rounds of combat at level 10.

In real life I also have played Emerald Spire all the way through and have plans to play Reign of Winter and Mummy's mask. Currently I am running a Serpents Skull game as well (My players are in the 3rd book).

Willing to run
-Serpents skull...

My top 5 like to play:
-Giantslayer
-King Maker
-Runelords
-Second Darkness
-Carrion Crown

I do think King Maker could be cool with this group, from what I gather you forge a nation together. I see great RP in that.

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

We still have to hear from three people but in the event that there are no conflicts I want to express a formal interest in Kingmaker. Feel free to reply on where your engagement lies with that AP.

Not a Doctor. 10th level Creepy Dead Guy in a Red Shirt

OK...

King Maker is one I have not done before.
Definitely interested.

Let me think on this...

I would want to do a unique Arcane or Divine Caster for it.

It is. So fair enough. But that is half the fun too really.

The trick to Mythic is to make sure the players aren't Min-Maxing the $#it out of themselves. If they do, then it really is no fun.

Especially for the GM.

The players need to make sure they pick Mythic abilities/feats that are interesting and useful, but are also fun to do rather than the "best" thing to do. (It also helps to Nerf certain mythic rules too!)

Anyway...it is beside the point here. Kingmaker does not really work well with the Mythic rules and that is what we are leaning toward it seems.

No complaints.

Would you allow varient multiclassing? (I think it is from Unchained book.)

Happy to roll anything will y'all.

Only did homebrew IRL so no clashes there. I'll take a look at kingmaker but I don't see a problem. See what springs to mind.

Yeah, simply not familiar with it at all. Is it OP or are there any new rules?

Variant multiclassing, absolutely.

Halfling Inactive

King Maker works for me.

Not a Doctor. 10th level Creepy Dead Guy in a Red Shirt

Got it!

I think I would like to do a Magus (Kensai) with VMC Monk then.
Now to the race question...

The occult thing just rules out a character I have had in mind for a while, no drama's he can wait.

I have another idea but I'll flesh it out a little before I throw it out there...

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

K, so we're 70% looking at Kingmaker. In the event Allister and Fez haven't played it before we're on. With that said...

Since we all know each other, I want to encourage intermingling of backgrounds. The shared world we have in Everflame is really good for role playing and I think we can do a similar "small world" with everyone's backstories.

Reading the Kingmaker players guide, it seems likely that most will be hailing from Brevoy in some way. The campaign traits and their general geography from the Players Guide are:

Bastard - General Brevoy
Brigand - Riverlands or Lawless Brevoy
Issian - Northern Brevoy
Noble Born - General Brevoy
Pioneer - Southern Brevoy
Rostlander - Southern Brevoy
Sword Scion - Southern Brevoy (Restov)

So yeah, pretty region specific. There's also a bunch of cool political stuff with noble houses, if you're into that, that would create immediate alliances or prejudices/rivalries.

Note-worthy information: the adventure starts on the southern border by Restov.

Halfling Inactive

I'm torn between a human slayer (bountyhunter archetype) and a gnome shaman (witch doctor archetype) with VMC cleric. So I can cover either divine or skills depending on what everyone else wants to do.

It's also a good time to be a sword lord, just saying.

What level will kingmaker take us to?

I want to do something swordlordy but probably not a swashbuckler, has anybody read the vigilante? Any thoughts?

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

The AP goes to lvl 18.

I have looked into the Vigilante before, no idea how good they are when compared to a unchained rogue though. They seem to lose a bunch but gain a cool RP medium with the alternate personae. I'm not sure how that would fit in with a party either, would everyone know about the duel personae? Or would a stranger show up and help out randomly?

That's the problem I'm having with it to be honest. It's very cool in concept and fits with the character I was thinking of playing.

Some kind of old seeming advisor to the high ups who is actually a bad ass with a sword

But not sure how well it will fit in the campaign, and with party dynamics in general. I wondered if anyone had any experience playing as/alongside one.

Im leaning towards not as it is.

Halfling Inactive

I think you could do a lot with the vigilante in this compaign. The avenger specialization gives you the sword fighter side and the social talents give you a lot of possibilities. You could play it as a Zorro angle or a royal bodyguard, a body double imposter type or even the adventuring King, depending on the campaign specific rules.

Halfling Inactive

What are we using for starting gold?

How about drawbacks?

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

Starting class gold and 3 Traits with 1 drawback is cool by me.

Halfling Inactive

Average gold? Roll for gold? Max gold?

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

Average

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

Come to think of it, I've never rolled for gold before. So in the spirit of new things, how about you can roll and take the higher of the roll and average.

Halfling Inactive

So what's everyone thinking of playing?

Dark Archive

This is a great Guide on how to make an effective yet fluff appropriate SWORDLORD

Current thoughts for characters are:

FEY bloodline Sorcerer... would be a gnome who speaks ALLOT of languages and focuses on enchantment spells... He would be nobleborn and used to people doing what he says. although I have been playing allot of gnome sorcerers lately.

Half-Elven hunter devotee of Erastil Pioneer... for some reason I think it would be cool to ride a Stag "Princess Mononoke" style.

I might go for theSword Scion...a Swordlord archetype fighter if no one else does.

Or maybe a half orc Skald with a background of being a brigand.

Not a Doctor. 10th level Creepy Dead Guy in a Red Shirt

OK New plan:

I've already stated that I'm going for Magus (Kensai)...but now possibly with VMC Sorcerer instead.(Still up in the air.)

I've been thinking about race, but the only one that makes sense to me is Half-Elf. I wanted to do something more exotic, but nothing seemed to fit, and generally I dislike playing humans.

I will put up her basics later hopefully for perusal.

Probably going to go with the Bandit trait.

Not a Doctor. 10th level Creepy Dead Guy in a Red Shirt

GM Shai Halud,

Would I be allowed to take the Signature Moves social Trait?

Some GMs don't allow it, but I assure you it will be relevant to my character.

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

Quite the strong trait there. So my dilema is I get bummed too when something perfect for an idea is outlawed. But I could see that trait being OP at the start with someone knowledgeable and Min/Maxing.

So what I'm going to do is allow it, and that goes for other traits like Rich Parents and the like that some GMs also frown on. As well as swapping optional racial traits. But I'm going request that this freedom isn't abused or else the party might become pissed at you when the CR of encounters begin to climb past how they're written ;)

Not a Doctor. 10th level Creepy Dead Guy in a Red Shirt

Fair enough. I won't push any limits if that's what you are worried about.

Heck, I doubt I'll even come close to using the full 900 gp either.

I'll let you look over my character too before I post it.

We can go from there.
=)

Sandworm Overlord of Zealot Desert People 15 / Public Transportation 5 Regional Map : Local Map

A note during character creation, please weave into your background that you have recently come into possession of this charter:

Be it so known that the bearer of this charter has been charged
by the Swordlords of Restov, acting upon the greater good and
authority vested within them by the office of the Regent of the
Dragonscale Throne, has granted the right of exploration and travel
within the wilderness region known as the Greenbelt. Exploration
should be limited to an area no further than thirty-six miles east and
west and sixty miles south of Oleg’s Trading Post. The carrier of
this charter should also strive against banditry and other unlawful
behavior to be encountered. The punishment for unrepentant banditry
remains, as always, execution by sword or rope. So witnessed on this
24th day of Calistril, under watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov
and authority granted by Lord Noleski Surtova, current Regent of
the Dragonscale Throne.

Hey all, it's Allister!

Finally got around to checking out the new campaign thread. I'm looking forward to the Kingmaker campaign.

My first idea for a new class is a hunter, but it will take me some time to iron out the details and be sure it's a good fit.

"Welcome Aleksara." beams a ominous baritone voice accompanied by a hot cinnamon breeze.

That hunter class looks awesome by the way, definately one I've had an interested eye on. It'll be fun to watch if Al or pdpong end up rolling with it.

I actually think the double hunter idea would be really cool. Two animal companions in the same group would be excellent.

I'm leaning towards Dwarven hunter - archer. The class is pretty sweet. Lots of skills, spells, animal companion, and good fighter.

Starting Wealth Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 6) = 19 x 10 = 190 gp

The average starting wealth for a hunter is 140 gp, so I am going to take the rolls.

I nearly went hunter myself. But I think I'm going to give vigilante a go. Specifically a fetchling vigilante heading for the moonlight stalker featline

The vigilante will be a really fun challenge for both of us. I 110% support it if that's what you're going with, but PM me when you have the background stuff thought up so we can talk about the dual personality. This first book won't use all of the bits of the vigilante's potential but once this Kingdom gets started there will be a lot of politics that'll engage that other half.

Yeah that's what I was expecting to be honest. He'll be a glorified rogue for a while.

Spells:
(1st- 5/6) Wand of MM (10/50)
Male Gnome (Fey)Sorcerer /VMC Druid Hp: 10/29, AC:14 Touch:13; Flat :12; Fort: +4; Ref: +3; Will: +4, Perception +0

Still working on his background... But I think I have settled on the gnome Fae bloodline sorcerer (Druid VMC). I did flirt with the idea of a lizard-folk hunter with a pet crocodile today but it just feels like we have enough melee firepower already...

Halfling Inactive

I'd go with the wild blooded sylvan archetype and lose the VMC Druid. You lose the +2 save DC bonus but get the animal companion at first level.

Introducing Wendell "Cat Food" Redgrass. Glaive-wielding Dwarf hunter with a big cat (tiger) animal companion.

I'm still working out the background, and very slowly learning the animal companion and spell casting rules.

Qina, you have any ideas what you're going to play?
