Kevros yells out, "I see him, he is over there! I am checking to see if he is an enemy or not since he has not fired on us yet!" Kevros points in the direction of the archer. Kevros then yells out, "WHO GOES THERE!?"


He has not fired yet, all you can see with the DC 20 is that it is a humanoid in the shrubbery with a longbow aimed in your general direction. Where are my Round 2 actions? Are you all just waiting? Do we need to go to Round 3?

No response comes from the foliage.

Round 1

She dismounts and moves towards the statue. She draws her blade as she moves forward.

Round 2

Moving to the statue, she uses it for cover and waits for Tristan to move ahead if he does.

Round 1

Exasperated that most of her friends didn't get the gist of her rather direct warning and dancing lights around the archer, Angeus dismounts and slides up behind the monument.

Round 2

Angeus thinks for a moment, then smiles, as if she thought of a nice trick, her hand almost absent mindedly moves through the air and in an instant she vanishes from sight.

Vanish, 3 rounds

Moving quickly but not too quickly, Angeus moves away from the monument towards the bushes, knowing she couldn't be seen, but she might heart...stepping lightly as she goes.

Moving at Speed 25, -5 to stealth

Instead of firing, Kev uses his remaining standard action to take cover. He aims the crossbow at the unknown figure and readies it so if the unknown person fires an arrow at the group, Kev will return fire.

Tristan moves toward the bush drawing his blade he begins moving and poking at the bush trying to see if something is hidden.

Tristan begins to move towards where the group is pointing, halfway there a flurry of motion happens. An arrow whizzes out of the bush and then the man stands as he begins to retreat. The arrow just gets through Tristan's armor causing him some pain.

She paces Tristan, running into the bush to the side of the archer.

Obviously Kevros is not worried about the surroundings and more worried about Tristan, Angeus, and the fleeing Archer.

Kevros then takes one more shot at the fleeing archer before reloading,

Kev uses his move action to reload his crossbow and moving spent bolt magazine into inventory.

In the forest just out of view:
The Stag Lord and his four thugs raise their bows and shoot at Tristan. The Stag Lord attempts to take cover and hide himself first. The others drop their bows and pull out a melee weapon each. The five of them are 20 feet away from Tristan. The other archer in front of Tristan keeps moving away from Tristan, full retreat, remember that in the forest it is thick vegetation/half speed. The invisible faiere dragon appears on Tristan's shoulder, opens its wings and goes up to a branch and casting a spell as it goes... two of the thugs move around as if on a slippery surface but don't fall, they sure are not sure footed though.

You can's just hide when people are aware of you. There is this:
Create a Diversion to Hide
You can use Bluff to allow you to use Stealth. A successful Bluff check can give you the momentary diversion you need to attempt a Stealth check while people are aware of you.
It is under the stealth skill. I am already aware of him so he would need to make a bluff check. Opposed by my sense motive.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10

Perception: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 2 = 21 Sniping is a -20 so I will easily see him after the shot.

"They are here. Hurry he will not escape this time."

The arrow hit's Tristan's shoulder as he calls out in pain. He advances on the men and takes a defensive stance.

Move and Full Defense: AC 30: Taking 3 damage until he makes his bluff check but with my crappy roll will probably take the sneak attack. :)

Peering through the bushes, Angeus sees Tristan moving forward !

"What's he doing ?! I have to warn the others!

She concentrates on Quince and Kevros, then turns towards them, holding her hand out in front of her mouth, her lips moving, then blowing air across her palm.

A light breeze sweeps by you, and you hear as if she were right beside you , Angeus whispering, "Hi guys, me and Tristan have found ol'Stag Head. He's attacking them! ....come quick. Oh, you can whisper back, if you want to."

ROUND 5

Kevros waves his hand to acknowledge Angeus. He the spots a position which can offer him partial or normal cover, he then runs for this position. Kevros goal is the get in 1st increment range of his crossbow but stay out of long bow's 1st range increment and use cover if possible.

Before changing positions, he looks to Quince and Kat, "First find a location where you will have cover, then follow me." After this comment is when Keveros runs to a position fitting the description above.

Quince whispers back something celestially incoherent.

Quince nods toward Kevros and makes a sprint for the tree line for cover.

I am assuming that the green cloud marks where some cover is possible. Am I able to get a view of things from there. That's probably riskier than you suggested Kevros.

The thugs in the forest advance but only one can charge and swing at Tristan. The Stag Lord's antlers shimmer for a moment distracting Tristan making him flat footed to the Stag Lord's second shot. Though Tristan evades the attacks as they come.

TACTICS Before Combat The Stag Lord is in a perpetual state of hangover or drunkenness, and as a result he is sickened—his stats have been adjusted to reflect this (and as a result, his CR is 1 lower than normal).
If he sobers up, these stats effectively gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

During Combat When attacking with his bow, the Stag Lord usually employs his Deadly Aim feat (included in his stats). He prefers to fight with his bow if possible, favoring attacks on foes who are flat-footed, using the insightful shot ability of his stag’s helm or taking time to move into hiding and use Stealth to set up new shots so that he can make sneak attacks.

In melee, he shifts and moves to flank foes if possible. Humans are his favorite targets, for in many of them he sees the face of his father. He drinks potions to heal damage if reduced below 20 hit points. Morale The Stag Lord fights to the death.

The Stag Lord’s Gear The Stag Lord possesses two unusual magic items, both of which he found amid the ruins of the fort when he first arrived in the area. "Oh no you don't!" she hisses, taking off at a sprint, patting Quince on the shoulder as she runs past, as if she were in a flat field rather than the dense underbrush.

She waves at Katrina and Kevros as she runs around the rustling field of her spell, coming up behind a tree trunk, observing the Staglord and one of his croneys struggling through her spell.

Double Move. She had Woodland Stride so she moves normally. Taken cover behind that tree she's beside.

Quince knocks down the thug in red as Tristan opens a gash in the last thug's leg.

Kevros misses his target as it enters the forest.

Kevros you can't see Angeus unless your perception beats her stealth check. When she was moving it would be hard to tell if it was her moving, now if you are moving toward the movement outside of the entangle area, that would work. Does that make sense?

At seeing his ally drop to the ground the thug glares at you with even more resolve cursing in Elven.

Round 9

The thugs who are running continue as the one before Tristan prepares to parry. Full defense. He also yells out something in Elven.

Elven:
"Ancestors avenge us, curse these interlopers, may they be cut down by our brethren! Avenge us!"
