As the men enter, the thrill of coming battle transforms from a twitter, to a raging maelstrom in Myrdul's gut. Last night the large man kept waking from his sleep, as was always the case before a battle. His hand clenches hard around Krasa, and it's all he can do to keep from leaping into the fray. Remember your orders! he repeats in his mind, trying to calm his racing heart, knowing full well that a warrior who rushes headlong into the fray, against the battle plans of the whole, will probably get everyone else killed along with the fool himself. He expels his breath as silently as possible, and risks a peek at the bandits from the side of the barrel, Four. Krasa bring me honor this day! He then adjusts his legs slightly to avoid cramps, and waits with diminishing patience for the signal.

Shonden knocks an arrow, sighting in on the man who'd spoken to Joanna/Svetlana. Ready to loose once Kalima's spell struck.

Joanna nods obediently, thankful that her disguise seems to be working. She takes the horses' bridles, dropping them as soon as the bandits turn away, and gives a sharp whistle to signal to her teammates.

She takes aim at the one who appears to be their leader only briefly, then fires. The disguise melts away as she fires her arrow, black hair shortening and turning brown, simple clothes dissipating and revealing thick hide armour. Let's see the wolves scatter.

Round 1 (on his turn)

Myrdul blinks some of the light from his eyes, and then roars his glee as he see's the results of Kalima's impressive trick. Two of the bandits looked all but out of the fight, and the leader seemed to have been injured! He pushes the door closed behind him, then turns to the nearby Bandit (#3), "It is wrong to be stealing!" and furiously swings his earth breaker, Krasa, at the mans torso like he's trying to fell a tree.

Derakor calls upon his mighty deity and swings with all his might, but the bandit was quicker than he expected and easily dodged the attack.

But Erastil heard his question. Shonden's sister in the faith provided the obvious solution. In response, he threw his bow over his shoulder and leaped forward to assist Joanna in tying up the remaining bandits.

"Myrdul watch them closely...if they awaken from their sleep before they are tied up, I want you to threaten them to hold still or you will smash them with Krasa. We need information from them about their home south of here." He cast a quick glance to Derakor and Kalima. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Diplomacy on the bandits.

I'll go out on a limb and assume my own stinky roll for Diplomacy was a failure. I'll explain it as Shonden being distracted...

Something turned over in Shonden's stomach as he watched Myrdul carry off the two bandits. A cloud settled in the pit of his guts, turning and thundering. Do I question the gift Erastil has given me? Dare I not trust his wisdom in showing me the evil lurking in their souls?

There was a meaty thump as Myrdul smashed their heads together when they wouldn't cooperate. Another turn inside Shonden's middle. If I doubt the accuracy of my god's judgment by standing for some kind of irrational mercy in those two's cases, I'd be going against the very wisdom I prayed to Erastil for only moments ago. Shonden rubbed forefinger and thumb into the corners of his blue eyes, squeezing them shut for a moment as he whispered another prayer. Erastil, I beg you, give me strength and comfort and fortitude to follow your will!

The young paladin took a deep breath and turned to the remaining bandit to see his response to their questions.

Kalima is Chaotic Good so generally believes in swifter forms of justice and punishment over "established" laws and legal systems. As for why she's having him locked in irons is that he's still a criminal and if he's left unchained he might bolt, or worse get himself a weapon and try and kill Oleg. Keeping him chained is the best way to keep him under control until he can be proved trustworthy.

Kalima goes to the horses and searches their saddle bags emptying out anything of value. After this is done she then goes to to Oleg and says "I am wondering Oleg if you could use a few horses.
