As for snuggling up you might want to use this

DC 15 Survival Gain a +2 bonus on all Fortitude saves against severe weather while moving up to half your overland speed, or gain a +4 bonus if you remain stationary. You may grant the same bonus to one other character for every 1 point by which your Survival check result exceeds 15.

By Snuggling up I am giving her a +2 on the check with in turn makes her better at keeping me warm.

Technically, ghost sounds could only have produced the sound of 4 men passing gas, but... I vote that Kent not be allowed to make first contact in the future. ;)

Something I find a bit amusing with Brigid is that I'm usually playing the stern, silent character type, so the more theatrical bon vivant is a change of pace for me. We've swapped roles, apparently.

I have not used them before, but we can see how it goes. Finding stuff to use might be a challenge, though. Give me an idea of what you are looking at...we can decide on a case by case examination. Like I said before, I would like to keep this simple, but I am willing to look over new rules if it will improve the game and your character, but keep balance.

Well I have false focus so finding the stuff will be no problem, but I also have craft alchemy. I was thinking of using acid and grease in the grease spell.

Svetlana doesn't intend to buy any additional equipment, and is otherwise content to let the night pass and be underway the next day. She intends to continue taking Endure Elements as a spell and casting it at the beginning of each day. I have my tabletop group today, so likely won't be posting much the rest of the day. I'll catch up tomorrow.


Daniel, if they decide to partake in my gallon jug/barrel/container of ale, let me know how much of it is consumed. Ulryk will join them, but only for two or three mugs.

No problem...the group slept the night, readied and left the fort the following morning. You traveled all day with no encounter and are now just getting ready to make camp. Both Kent and Ulyrik tried to find camp sites, but failed. Finally Damen stepped in and located one that was good. Now just the night watch needs to be set.

This alway the problem with setting up watches. The spell-casters need 8 hours uninterrupted so to even think about giving them a even watch you have to have a longer night and if they have a shorter watch it seems a bit unfair.

Well my perception sucks in any case. However I am alway able to act in surprise rounds does that count even if I am asleep even if the action is just wake up?

I'd suggest that keeping watch could still be considered restful enough if it's not eventful. As long as you're not marching along the perimeter or something.

I always ran it as uninterupted "Rest" for casters, not necessarily sleep. Even if you are on the watch, you can still rest.

Again, that is my personal ruling for my games. It's up to our GM.

Minor Problem: I can't open google-docs at work. Not sure why, probably something the IT guys put in. Upshot is I can't open the map. The other files I've been able to open though.

Ok...well not to sure what to do with that....I could email you the map, but it will be changing a lot as people take their actions. Is anyone else having trouble opening this map? I thought Google docs was usable by all...cannot figure why your IT would block it. Any other suggestions? I really wish there was something on the paizo site that allowed upload of pictures and such...would make things much easier!

I've seen other campaigns use photobucket, and I've had no problems opening that. In the meantime, I guess PM'ing would work. I'll just have to keep track of movements during a round in my head.

Ok try this and see if you can access it. I just opened a photobucket account.


I think it might be something to do with internet explorer. I also cannot open the google docs. with my IE, which I use the majority of the time. (I have the better browsers on my home desktop.)

I can see the photobucket map fine on IE though. Good adjustment.

Just waiting for Areanna to post, but I am fighting with my buckler and will continue to do so, making Ulryk's AC 18. Once my turn comes I will probably also use combat expertise to give Ulryk another +1 to Ac to make it 19, he will however suffer a -2 to his attacks.

Thanks for the freebie with the horses for this combat. I'll allow Ulryk to get into the fight against goblin #4 this round. He should be able to move up 10' to the right of Svetlana and with his quickdraw, spear the beastie with his three pronged ranseur (reach)

Just to make sure I'm tracking party damage correctly: the only person who's taken damage in the group is Damen then, who took an arrow to the thigh for 3hp's (maybe 2). Correct?

Two questions:

Ulryk is now large sized and so is his equipment. I realize that gives me a -1 to hit, Ac, and dexterity. But the +2 strength should counter the negative to hit. It also increases his size to double (he's now taller than even Areanna and Brigid ;) ) and his reach to 10 feet. His weapons grow as well (Ranseur goes from 2d4 to 2d6), however does it's reach also increase? Do I have a reach of '15 now or '20?

Second question, is the dead goblin #5's corpse count as an obstacle for charging? What about now that I am large size (it's even smaller?)

Too bad the -2 to dex means that combat reflexes would not help you otherwise with this reach it would be a awesome feat.

@Svetlana - you are correct an arrow to the thigh for 3hp

@ Ulryk - Your ac goes to 16. You get +4 to hit with your ranseur and it does 2d6+7 damage. Your reach is now 10' so with an enlarged ranseur I could imagine it would increase as well.

To charge the route must be clear of 'all' obstructions. That said, you can easily get to within striking distance of any of the remaining goblins.

ok, cool...I have the Adventurer's Armory. I did not notice that you had any acid on your character sheet. Not a problem now, but in the future you will have to make sure you have the items to enhance your spells. Its a cool idea!

Maybe just me, but I never took False Focus to include alchemical add-ons, just the base components for the spell. Maybe this is worth a message board check?
