Lets kill the beats then get out of this hole.

"We don't know how many of them are occupying this fort. We found what we're looking for, so for me, let's report to Drake."

Vuvu tells the pathfinder how many they have killed.

how many more do you think? And how did you get past the spiders?

"Well according to my counting you should have killed most of them, unless they got reinforcements. I surmise that they came from a hole down deep in the fort. For there is no trogs in the area but here." He relays.

M Halfshanks Rogue/3 HP:21/21 - AC: 16, T:14, FF: 13 - Perception +8 - Init: +3 - F:+4/ R: +8/ W: +2 (+3 vs fear) - CMB: +1; CMD: 14

Hemmings goes and get the items from the locked chest and starts equipping the pathfinder.

"Whoever can operate that scrystone needs to get Drake on it now. Then we can let him tell us what to do next. I didn't sign up for heroin', just findin' this lost fella for a reward. Now that we have 'im, we oughta go get it."

"I think Ruby can do the trick."

I know how it works.

Vuvu grumbles and pulls it out.

Drake listen up!

Drake responds to Vuvu, "Yes Vuvu, what do you have to report?"

We have him. Alive.

Drake says, "Good, keep him that way. Should I expect you by the end of the day or the next day?"

Expect us the end of the next. Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised. Vuvu grumps.

Your connection with Drake ends.

What do you guys do?

Grand Lodge

Ranger/2; Hp 17/17; AC 18/T 14/FF 15; F +5/R +7/W +2; CMD 18; CMB +4; Per +9; Init +4; Speed 20

"I'd say stick in the middle of the group pathfinder. Let's get going now before any reinforcements arrive."

Lecloront will take the lead preferably a little bit ahead of the group so he can warn the others of danger, in stealth and with his arrow ready to fly.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

M Halfshanks Rogue/3 HP:21/21 - AC: 16, T:14, FF: 13 - Perception +8 - Init: +3 - F:+4/ R: +8/ W: +2 (+3 vs fear) - CMB: +1; CMD: 14

Hemmings will steer them back down the tower face to the level above the ground floor. They had to climb up so I assume we have to climb down as well. Hemmings is all for getting the prize back as quick as possible and earning some real money.

The group follows Lecloront, down the stairwell. Nothing impedes you from your path returning to the 2nd level to the open room. Locke and the Pathfinder both pull out rope and tie it off to the ledge. The group easily descends helping each other as they go. Vuvu ties one end to himself and grabs the dog, and is lowered down similar to how he was lifted up. Locke is willing to jump down if no one else volunteers, with the ropes undone he jumps and likely barely hurts himself 1d6 ⇒ 3 non-lethal damage, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Acrobatics check.

Now outside with Xorak, the guardsman, Locke's horse and the two mules.

What do you do. If you wish to adjust anything or grab anything on the way down, feel free to say so.

Grand Lodge

Ranger/2; Hp 17/17; AC 18/T 14/FF 15; F +5/R +7/W +2; CMD 18; CMB +4; Per +9; Init +4; Speed 20

"Let's hurry and deliver the package to Drake."

Vuvu follows closely, holding the dog close as he gets lowered down. When he gets to the bottom he tends to Locke.

Heal take 10 for a 20

Let's get moving. I do not like this place.

M Halfshanks Rogue/3 HP:21/21 - AC: 16, T:14, FF: 13 - Perception +8 - Init: +3 - F:+4/ R: +8/ W: +2 (+3 vs fear) - CMB: +1; CMD: 14

As they descend and prepare to move out, Hemmings asks the pathfinder:"What was it you were doin'in this place anyhow? I mean why look in this old broken tower, bunch of loot in there or sumthin'?"

"Another thin', why can you only see this tower from certain places?"

A big grin on his face, "Just looking, and seeing if anything of worth be it of historical or value to find or collect, also I am an explorer. The tower, well really a fort, most likely has magical wards on it so that you can only see it from a few places. I expect that lower down or a magical door somewhere that there be a magical trove."

Well if we must look for it, we shoyld rest. Vuvu grumps

"I am done looking considering my treatment by the trogs. I need some time, like a week before I would even think of coming back." He says seriously.

Good. Lets get home then.

Vuvu moves to the caravan and makes ready.

M Halfshanks Rogue/3 HP:21/21 - AC: 16, T:14, FF: 13 - Perception +8 - Init: +3 - F:+4/ R: +8/ W: +2 (+3 vs fear) - CMB: +1; CMD: 14

Hemmings rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Well we know how to find it now, and most o' the trogs are dead. Mayhap, after you rest up a bit, we get a few sturdy swordsmen and come back and knock off that treasure, eh?"

Once we're on the ground, I think we'd just backtrack, avoiding the zombie town if at all possible and giving berth to the black tree if it looks like trouble still surrounds it.

Sounds good to me, three to four hours later, you make it to the Dragon's Draught.

Drake greets you at the entrance, "Welcome back, I have taken the liberty to get each of you a room, if you wish food will be brought to your rooms or you can feast down here with the rest of us." Drake hands each of you a key.

"Once you are settled, bathed, and taken a rest, the feast will be here in the main hall. I will have each of your rewards as well."

A human handmaiden guides each of you to your rooms. They will wait outside unless invited in to help you take off clothes as necessary. She will guide you down to the general bathes or will slowly fill the tub in your room.

M Halfshanks Rogue/3 HP:21/21 - AC: 16, T:14, FF: 13 - Perception +8 - Init: +3 - F:+4/ R: +8/ W: +2 (+3 vs fear) - CMB: +1; CMD: 14

Now that he's got a few coins to his name, Hemmings takes full advantage of the hospitality offered by the Draught. He enjoins the maiden to accommpany him in the private bath, massage out his aching muscles and tend all his hurts.

Satisfied, he tips her well and rests until the appointed hour. Then dresses, straps back on his weapons and goes to the feast. He brings the large gem taken from the goblin and the rest of the array of magical and cursed items from the treasure trove.

Drake, Locke, and Kirren are talking casually. They are sitting at a very large table that does not make sense got in any other way than rebuilding it or magical means.

All sorts of roasts, steamed vegetables, wines, salads, tarts, slices of bread which looks to have honey on butter on it, among many other kinds of food.

Everyone please respond to my posts the best you can, how your character would interact and accept help, now how you enter the feasting hall, etc. Thank you Hemmings for an excellent example.

do we have a count of how much money we all make from the loot?

Vuvu quietly goes to his room and has the tub brought, assuming the dog joins him, he sits down and talks to it.

OK boy. Time to figure out your name.

He pets him for a long time and plays with him quietly. Then he lets him be and observes what he does.

"I would prefer to take my bath up in my room," says Lecloront to the handmaiden. "I'll grab a couple of drinks as it feels forever since the last time I had one. I'll be up in my room maybe in a couple of hours."

Lecloront will give a gold piece as tip, and slowly walk towards the bar.

The dog goes with Vuvu, since you have shown the most attention and have fed him.

Once you are done playing with the dog it jumps up onto its hind legs and jumps around that way for a while, then it goes over to the fire and goes into it!

Vuvu what do you do?
_______________________________________
After an hour or so the handmaiden comes to your side Lecloront and she curtsies. "Begging your pardon, but your bath is ready, Sir."

Lecloront would you mind PMing me the loot or just posting it all as a post. Thanks. Though we will get to that once everyone has come down for the feast, or the next morning, depending.

Here is loot as of June 8th, I'll go back and see if we got anymore stuff from the Trogs.

Hemmings wrote:

4 gems (16,45,78,100), 1 amethyst(35gp), 1 orange crystal(25gp), cursed box of holding, cursed amulet of the family, potion of cure light, potion of endure elements.

That makes coins: 8PP, 145gp, 87sp, 70 cp, We also wrested a big gem from the goblin on the ground floor appraised at 5,000 gp.

EDIT: Need to add in this stuff.

3 gold piercings @ 5 gp each, gold pot of filth (cleaned)@10gp, jade statue (failed appraisal but you listed at 500gp in spoiler), and this stuff:

a suit of masterwork studded
leather armor, a masterwork buckler, a masterwork
rapier, a shortbow with 15 arrows, a scroll of cure moderate
wounds, a scroll of invisibility, a wayfinder (a sort of magical
compass that shines with light on command and grants
a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival checks to avoid
becoming lost; see page 50 of Pathfinder Chronicles: Seekers
of Secrets), and a climber’s kit.

Which I think all belonged to our missing friend. I'm fine to split after the feast or just to have Wolf hand out equal shares as we can fence the jewels gems etc.

I do want to see if that big gem has any magical properties and figure Drake can help us identify/appraise all this stuff.

Vuvu leaps up and attempts to pick up the dog from the fire, reaching his own hands in if necessary.

No no no!

please done turn into one of those parasites! Vuvu thinks.

Lecloront smirks as he saw the alchemist try to domesticate his furry friend.

"Another one please," as he leaves another gold piece for the bartender.

This is all after he has taken the bath.

Here's more:
Dagger - Mule
Flimsy Hatchet - Mule
Short sword - Mule
Hide Armor - Mule
2 Backpacks - Mule
Small Morningstar - Mule
Small Leather Armor - Mule
Dogcutter - Mule

did we bring the goblin wit us

I think we killed that goblin for it doesn't want to let go of his precious.

nope I knocked him out with a series of headbutts

also on he way back I would have spellcrafted any magic we found

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

I will address more once off work, feel free to role play and interact with each other until then.

Vuvu you grab the dog out of the fire taking 2 points of fire damage. The dog licks your face, as you inspect him, he appears unharmed, not even a scorch on his fur.

Though once you let him go he goes right back into the fire...

What the hell? Come here boy. Vuvu holds out the cane to wrestle with the dog.

then while he tugs on it Vuvu examines him.

arcana1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Vuvu, he plays with you, tug of war! This dog is not a magical beast, though it is not a normal canine either.

Xoruk has kept the goblin out cold, applying force as needed.

I am going to say the group arrived at about noon at the Dragon's Draught. Which means you have about 5 hours before the feast is put out.

having one last thougt Vuvu tries to get a clue from the sound of his growl and his teeth and bite pattern.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 nature

Eventually Vuvu loses tug of war and assuming the dog goes back into the fire he observes closely.

well boy I guess your name is Ash.

M Halfshanks Rogue/3 HP:21/21 - AC: 16, T:14, FF: 13 - Perception +8 - Init: +3 - F:+4/ R: +8/ W: +2 (+3 vs fear) - CMB: +1; CMD: 14

Hemmings buys a round of drinks for everyone at the Draught. He's never had any money before and likes teh feel of it.

Yup, though the dog seems to have enough intelligence to drop the cane before going back in the fire. It paws at the fire a bit, twirls around and lays down, putting its muzzle in the hot coals. At Vuvu's pronouncement of calling the 'dog' Ash, its ears perk up.

Vital Stats/Skills:
Paladin Lvl 2 HP: 20/20, - AC: 15/T: 11/FF: 14 - Perception: +3 - Initiative: +1 - F: +7 / R: +3/ W: +6 - CMB: +4 - CMD: 16, Speed: 30

Ardamir does not concern himself too much with the gear in the haul, but if coin is mentioned his ears perk up. From there he will take a room, bathe and rest for the feast, wanting to look the proper part of a Paladin. He may not have his best dress clothes, but he shines up his armor and greatsword and when it is time for the feast he joins in the merriment! He strays away from telling too many stories due to the fact that some of his involvement in this little adventure was less than legendary...

Vuvu finding it is not a beast of magic or nature observes him in the fire.

What are you Ash? He says fondly.

Vuvu:
We can continue the interactions between you and Ash, though I want to keep things moving as well. So please post with the feast besides what we post in spoilers.

Ash barks at you quietly, muffled by the coals over his muzzle.

Okay it looks like we will move on to the feast...
Drake, Locke, Balenar Forsend, and Kirren are talking casually. They are sitting at a very large table that could seat twenty easily.

All sorts of food is layed out for the feast: roasts, steamed vegetables, wines, salads, tarts, slices of bread which looks to have honey on butter on it, among many other kinds of food.

Who has the magical bear traps?

I am just assuming that when you give a gold piece or silver piece to someone you subtract it from your character sheet.

Freddy lays down a necklace he found on the empty part of the table, next to a light steel shield emblazoned with a leaping dolphin. The necklace appears to made mostly of gold with a few gems, Appraise DC 15, reveals that it is worth 100 gp. Also he has a wrapped up item, which he says is the darkness spell.

Did anyone pick up: a stone great club, two javelins with fetishes on them, a small rusty chest, or the dangerous looking instruments(three knives, two pokers, and four other metal implements), simple pad lock on the chest?

Vital Stats:
1d8+7, 2d8+9, HP: 34/34, AC: 20 _ T: 11 _ FF: 19, Perception +7, Sense Motive +7, Initiative: +1, F: +9 _ R: +4 _ W: +12, CMB: +4, CMD: 15, Speed: 20
Skills:
Acrobatics -2, Bluff +4, Climb -7, Diplomacy +8, Heal +17, Escape Artist -7, Handle Animal +4, K(A, H, P, N, R) +6, Linguistics +6, Ride +0, Stealth -7, Survival +7, Spellcraft +8, Swim -7

His notes:
a masterwork silver dagger, a masterwork light steel shield emblazoned with a leaping dolphin, and a banner depicting a bird made of living flame. A DC 20 Knowledge (local) check recognizes the banner as belonging to the Band of the Phoenix, one of Absalom’s most famous hunting lodges during the Age of Blades. The banner is worth 100 gp but might be worth much more to a historian or collector.

did we get any XP?

Ash:

Well as long as you aren't hurting yourself... Vuvu stretches out on the bed. Care to join me Ash. Come on! If he comes Vuvu curls up with him on the bed until he is woken by the handmaiden informing him that the bath is ready. Just before he drifts off, whether he is joined by Ash or not, Vuvu says I think Griff would have liked you...

Vuvu changes and spends some time cleaning himself. He will brew some potions as requested and make acid flasks once he gets materials from Drake

Vuvu wanders in with Ash by his side and sits and takes a wide variety of food for himself and a large chunk of meat with a bone in it for Ash. He sits and says nothing, but observes for a while.

So what now? Obviously we have gear to sell, and an interesting banner to have looked at but am I to understand that we are to go back to this tower?

Ash sits in his own seat, chewing on the bone quite well mannered.

After everyone is seated and had some time to eat Kirren speaks up in response to Vuvu's question, "You can leave what loot you found that you don't want down in my merchant vault, it is mostly empty, and for a small fee I will get you some coins for that loot."

Drake asks, "Let me see this banner you speak of, well it seems Balenar may endorce your group to accompy him back there to find what treasures he was looking for. And I will let him make that offer."

Balenar says, "I can offer each of you 100 gp now and 100 gp when we get back; or an equal half share in what we find. I have several maps and notes that will get past some of the more deadly parts."
