Hey guys, I generally follow the guides lines Jason put up style wise and if the spoken dialogue in the first post is showing up bolded I have no idea why, it doesn't for me and I didn't try to make it bolded.
That's odd. It's not bold any more. The computer I used earlier was having issues but that is weird. I suppose I could just have been mistaken.
Oh well. Re-formatting my post in the morning.
this is creel signing off.

Drat! I want to run a det. evil on the coffin but Creel is too trusting for that kind of triple checking.

I knew this would all end in pitchforks and torches.

Don't worry, Rendel is about to play his "undead hunter having more balls to do what's necessary then the ignorant villagers" card.
I'm trying the old implied threat while playing nice and invoking the majesty of the law ploy but I'll back you.
Tossing a Det evil on the leader as well, just in case.

Creel |

I wanted to get the ball rolling so she'll come in, in media res as it were :)
Plan. Pity she's missing this bit though. Five or six could carry this easier.
...and we might well need the backup.

One almost wants to say.
"Oh hello there farmers, it appears you've just upset 4 heavily armed and upset men of faith by accosting a young woman during the funeral of a friend. Were you hoping to commit suicide might I suggest a gun instead to prevent the inevitable beating you would receive before?"

It's a role playing game, It's a Darwin award! It's two, two, two things in one!

...the red-cloaked brute across from him. . ."
Confused who you mean here. I think you are the only one of us not wearing one of the black cloaks? Or did I miss something?
~will
Update: Ok figured it out. It looks like Creel and Rendel are at the head end with Creel on the right side. Torthen is behind me and across from Tharnik. Madam walks behind us all. Does that match what you are thinking?

Real Life has a way of making one's schedule become so...messy...
So...I work shift work. I also work a roster that throws my weekends into odd days that normally aren't week ends. So, between shifts etc I shall do my darnedest to try and keep up.

It matches what I'm thinking. Tharnik wears a red cloak. I wear a faded black cloak that's almost grey. Though I imagine him being a half orc and me being just plain huge probably makes us both brutes.

Great you made it! And just when having some back up might be handy.

Creel |

Yes, I did indeed mean Tharnik - for he described himself with a red cloak, and I'm wearing very earthen colors.
I assumed we don't know each other well yet, which is common, so I have to go by what I see!
Cool. I was thrown off by Tharnik taking one on the black funeral cloaks and Creel wearing a rust red one under his.
All good now.

Poor Wandering One |

Rendal Did you see this? It may have gotten lost upthread.
Rendel Forgive me if this trespassing but I can't figure out how you ended up with a +2 with the x-bow. I show +1DEX and +0BAB, did I miss something? Again I apologise if I am tresspassing. I am not that good at making Pathfinder characters so I tend to poke around seeing how other folks do things.
Also, and again apologizing if I am overstepping, but it looks like you may have under spent of stats. I see STR 14 +2human. 5pts. DEX 13 3pts. CON and WIS 14 each 5pts each INT and CHA no cost. Total 5+3+5+5=18pts.
Looks like you have some pts extra.Again, want to say sorry if I'm crossing a line. I am still learning all the twists the system can throw at one so I tend to look at what other folks are doing for guidance.
~will, hoping not to annoy the inquisitor.

Good catch. The stats are actually a typo I had 12 when I wrote up the sheet. The skills should reflect that. Dunno where the crossbow bonus came from.

For the record if they pressed their argument I would have smiled, agreed wholeheartedly that we must be prudent and ensure that the man never again harm the citizens of this fine country.
I would then describe the all too real and grisly process by which medieval peoples would prevent the resurrection of the undead, including dismembering and beheading the corpse, staking the body, and stuffing every cavity with stinky garlic. I would then whip out a stake and hand it to the lead man, offering to hold the professor down in case he thrashes about while the man gets to work. I can't do it, the man was a friend so I have not the heart.
That's how you intimidate check.

Rendel Bladetwist |

That for vampires fool, you have to destroy his phylactery :)
He doesn't know that.
Speaking of which I don't suppose me or tharnik got anything out of our respective rolls? I guess I should have specified I was directing my attention at the men and their whispering...

I was also wondering how the "Party Diplomacy" thing worked. Don't get me wrong we got the best result short of us all getting together and having a goth square dance round the casket. But I wonder how we did it?

Hey guys, I put some images up in my Kingmaker ooc thread and they seem to have been popular so I thought I'd do the same here so people get an idea of the countryside I picture when I think of Ustalav and the territory around Ravengro.
Also I'll double check the IC thread and see what I missed in the way of rolls, sorry if I buggered up :)

![]() |

@Madeline, I guess that's really up to you. The Eidolon are at least the level of a familiar so its appropriate that they have their own personalities and quirks so if you'd like to make some guide lines and have me act it out or you want to make up the character and act it out yourself is completely up to you :)
On a completely different note, the last couple of posts are completely awesome guys, very flavorsome :D

Madeline Peshtussle |

*Bows* thank you. Writing for Madeline is definitely different than writing for Sunny.
I just don't want to take up too much 'space' with maybe having two entries. Smith is just a 'supporting' character after all. More like a different shaped sword than anything else. =)
Still, my time is short and I have none to make a separate character page for Smith atm, so the question is moot...
much cheers to every one. =)

Creel |

Madeline aka Smith
I think a separate icon for Mr. Smith would be perfect. You would not need a full character page just a blank page with a link to Madeline would work.
I don't think there will be too much of a space issue. You and Mr. Smith get into long turgid conversations.
~Creel
PS. "Mr. Smith?" Mistress? Dr Who/Sara Jane adventures fan?

Creel |

And yet you are first up the stairs. You really are alergic to anything resembling speaking to groups. ;7)
I think it's funny that following the perception check Creel now trusts Tharnik more than Madeline/Smith. I think someone's mechanical man if going to receive a sniff evil once things calm down.

Evil mud! My nemesis!
Rendel and Torthen So what do you think we will find upstairs?
I am torn between evil cultists and the butler soused on the cooking sherry.
Care to place a bet?

Ohhhh if I were to guess something to make Rendel even more paranoid. Possibly nothing.

Creel |

Jormungder A couple of detail questions please.
1) Is this house overlooked by the neighabors? How close is this house to the ones around it.
2) Who provides the law here and how far away are they?
3) Does Madame Lorrimor employ a staff?
4) Does a goblin have a buddah nature?

Precocious neighbor kid inventing rocketry?

1) Is this house overlooked by the neighabors? How close is this house to the ones around it.
They're fairly close to one another, think Victorian London, the town proper is fairly compact.
2) Who provides the law here and how far away are they?
A locally appointed Sheriff is the arm of the law in most Ustalavian towns.
3) Does Madame Lorrimor employ a staff?
Not that you've seen.
4) Does a goblin have a buddah nature?
Did you mean Buddha?

4)yup. just can't spell today.
3) And she fetched the water herself. So no active indoor staff.
2) Did we pass the office/Sheriff store on the way to or from the restlands? Or did I perhaps pass it when I arrived in town. Wondering about responce times and getting help if needed.
1) It this house part of a row? Does it share a wall with another house? You mentioned a "grey wall" does this surround the house? Thinking about how the overly agressive Amway salesmen we are about to meet got in.
~Creel, now with more annoying questions.

4)yup. just can't spell today.
Goblins are Arsonathists by nature
3) And she fetched the water herself. So no active indoor staff.
Yup, at least not this late in the evening, she may have a cleaning lady or some such but no live in staff you've seen.
2) Did we pass the office/Sheriff store on the way to or from the restlands? Or did I perhaps pass it when I arrived in town. Wondering about responce times and getting help if needed.
You haven't noticed a sheriffs building in your meanderings around town yet but in areas this rural its likely there isn't a twenty four hour accessible legal arm.

Sorry can't remember the Gray Wall reference, I'll have to trawl through my posts but I can say that the building doesn't share walls with its neighbors (Fantasy Victorian London I should have said :P )
