Hey guys, just finished moving yesterday, but internet has not been hooked up yet, so my connection/availability might be a bit shoddy for the next few days. As always, RGM, if you need to move the story along or roll for Vaghn, please feel free to dominate his brain and make him do your bidding. :P

Tell Beau that we are sorry to see him go. Do we want to find someone else to fill in as a front line fighter? Right now other than Smith we are a little weak in the defense/offense department.

All, I think it's time for a break. Here's my major issue.
I will not run for the player running Madeline. She or he has continued to read along, in the AP, describing her actions with terms that are specific to the AP, proving to me (without doubt) that he or she is reading ahead. She/he did it with the bog. And now with the "coracle." Obviously, I have no control over anyone reading the AP in the privacy of their own home, but I tend to trust my players won't. When they abuse, repeatedly, that trust, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
So, I'm done running for this particular player. I have tried and tried. I will not try anymore.
Secondly, we've lost Beau. We're down to Vaughn, Alexa, and Valen. I like you guys and would happily continue to run for you, but I honestly don't think I have the stamina to pick up more folks.
So, we have two options, at least as far as I can see.
1) The three of you can roll up secondary characters and run them, giving you six characters between three players.
OR
2) We can end this campaign and I can run you guys through my home brew. We can pick up 1-2 new players for that.
Your thoughts?

Originally, I wanted to join this pbp to: a) do the Carrion Crown AP and b) because I liked the dynamic of the group that was going on.
Although some of the original bunch has changed, I think we have developed a fairly good group that has done a lot together. I can see why any new player might find it daunting to join a long-term group such as we have in this AP and a challenge for RGM.
I like playing Pathfinder with you guys and would be willing to move a homebrew setting and start fresh if Alexa/Tirion and Vaghn/Asmo would be interested. It sounds like we might have more luck getting new players involved as well. It also might make RGM's life a little less stressed in the long run.
Now - and I don't know how you guys feel about these characters - but I have liked trying to flesh out Valen and his role as servant of a goddess of the dead. Not sure such a character will fit better outside of an AP like Carrion Crown. So I would also respect if you guys want to try and develop Vaghn and Alexa in more detail. If it means taking on a second character so that we all can press on, I am OK with that as well.
Hope that all makes sense.

Alex,
Thanks for your feedback. I got a PM from Tirion that echoed a lot of your ideas, so it looks like we very well may be ending this and moving on to my home brew. I'm waiting on Vaghn to weigh in, of course. I'm also going to advertise in some of the Facebook groups I'm a member of, since I have some folks there that I talk to regularly that might like to play.
And to alleviate any concerns, my home brew uses the Pathfinder RPG rules. Some of my races are unique (and there some minor class alterations), but nothing should be too difficult or restrictive.

I guess I should have seen the writing on the wall. I have had a fantastic time playing with you guys, and really enjoyed Vaghn as a character. Plus I hate leaving stories unfinished. But if necessity demands... If the consensus is to move to a different game, I shall miss playing my sometimes-bumbling, sometimes-dashing scholar. I suppose at least he can live on as an NPC in your home game.
Rhune does seem like a very interesting setting, and I am sure I would have fun playing there as well, if that is what the other players, and you, the GM, would like to do.

I am good either way. I really like Alexa as she is my only druid that has made it very far. Although I now have a druid(treesinger) in another campaign that is level 3, so that should sate some of my druid needs. However, depending on what you all want to play, I could easily work up almost anything else so that we have all the roles filled.
I know very little about Rhune. I read a little about it last fall and really wanted to play in the module when it was run at TotalCon last winter, unfortunately it was on Thursday morning and I did not get there until Friday night. C'est la vie.

Guys,
So, over the next two days:
1) Give me your current e-mail address. I'll send you our library of PDFs (free) so you can get familiar with Rhune: Dawn of Twilight.
2) Know that I will be running each of you through the TotalCon mod (Into the Pale Tower) as part of the next adventure.
3) I'll provide everyone with character creation guidelines before Friday.
4) You'll have fun.
Cheers,
Jaye

Guys,
I just sent each of you complimentary copies of all of the relevant PDFs (so, score for you guys). I also e-mailed each of you about character creation and the like. Until we have characters made (which we can do here), let's handle most of this by e-mail (at least for the time being).
Cheers,
Jaye

Alright guys, I'm thinking one of three general concepts:
Burly, traditional Viking warrior. Probably human, tech/nature neutral, probably a fighter with the viking archetype if Jaye is okay with me just dropping the berserker ability so the rage virus thing isn't an issue. (I like the intimidate and shield focus abilities though).
Mysterious runecaster. Oracle or witch most likely, maybe wizard or druid if I come up with an idea that fits one of those better. Not sure about race, default to human if nothing else springs to mind.
Grim bountyhunter. Probably ashen elf or aryandai. If the former, I'm a bit torn between magus, gunslinger, or maybe a gun-wielding inquisitor. If the latter, probably slayer.
Obviously I'm not attached to any concept yet, and would like to get an idea of what you guys were thinking before settling on anything.

I have not had the time to look at much of anything for the past two days. I did receive the email, but ended being up until 3 a.m. drafting a motion that had to be filed today, so I am sort of running on empty. I will try to get caught up over the weekend which, for once, does not seem to be overbooked.
