Here is my submission:
Tiberu Silvanus
Male Human Rogue 1 (HP 10/10 | AC:18 | T:15 | FF:13 | CMB: 1 | CMD:15 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+6 | Will:+1 | Init:+4 | Perc: +5 | Speed 30)

Background & Description:

Tiberu did not start his life in hardship or on the streets. He had quite a pleasant childhood as the son of one of Sandpoint’s middling merchants. What he did start his life with (at least as far back as he can remember) is a passion for the stories of the Pathfinder Chronicles. His father had somehow picked up a copy of one of the Chronicles and read little else once he learned to read and would listen to little else before. He parents indulged his ardor even going as far as hiring tutors to provide him training in a variety of skills that a member of the pathfinder society might need. One of these trainers was Shalelu Andosana who taught him not only how to stay hidden but also much about the surrounding geography and how to survive in the wilds. Many individuals with Tibru’s skills use them for a variety of crimial enterprises Tibru however has never been tempted by that option. Instead he dreams of exploring old temple ruins and uncovering lost secrets. One day perhaps he will journey to Absolom and present his findings to the society.

Tiberu is young and over eager. He is as likely to charge into a situation as ponder the consequences of such an action. He will jump at any opportunity to scout ahead or even better be the first to check inside a ruin for potential traps. Tiberu keeps a detailed journal of his adventures which he plans to compile once he returns home to a chronicle all his own.

Tiberu stands just under 6 feet tall with a lithe build, dark skin, dark hair and a bright smile. His gear seems to be just a bit too unblemished to have seen real use though he clearly knows how to use it all. Most is tightly packed into his backpack ready to be dropped or re-acquired quickly. Shalelu’s training has made sure that key survival gear are kept in pockets instead in case the worst should occur.

Well, I've got Ray tweaked to(I hope) fit Jade Reagent.

Dotting for interest. Just had wisdom teeth pulled, but will be working on a concept soon and shall shoot you a message about it.

Dotting for interest.
Planning on an Ancestor mystery oracle with the Tongues curse.
Quick question, would you allow for a half elf to prestige into Brightness Seeker? I know that traditionally this is an elf prestige class, but I have a cool back story for being the child of Seanthia and Jakardros. And I thought this with the ancestor mystery (perhaps flavored as previous-lives mystery) the two could be compatible. If its nothing you'd like, that fine, back stories are easy to re-write.

Ok, updated profile with starting gear. Should be complete now. If it's ok, I used part of her starting wealth to buy two scrolls of spells that are not on her class list. I have worked it in that she bought them using her last payment from Sandru, and she can't wait to try and learn them. If you don't like that, I can use the gp some other way, or buy some scrolls off her spell list.

@GM Logos - Specifically, Big Game Hunter. Possibly Varisian Tattoo, but not more than once, and not until later levels.

And i would be building a Divination wizard. Not sure what the schools i'd lose are (I know they're fixed as thassilonian), but IMO divination is an underused specialist school, at least in my groups.

How do you feel about the Dervish Dancer archetype?

Backstory tweaked to match Samsaran race

with all of these combinations and heroic back stories I wonder if amy normal cook / part time artist will be able to compete.

ahhh who am I kidding he probably will, as long as all you boys stay away from Amieko everything will be fine.

Worry not, she's all yours. But don't go trouble Shalelu, or you'll anger a hell escapee.... ;)

@Ray, true. Dungeon siege 1 began with a farmer after all. It ended in great things.

No more or less than a simple farm boy. :)

@GM Logos - I rewrote Armonds back story to reflect a different campaign trait - Best Friends (Ameiko) I think it fits the character better.

@Lou

At the Rusty Dragon one night. Armond calls Lou over.

You've been working here for how long now? I've see the way you look at Ameiko. She and I have been friends for years.
Do you really think if you clean enough tables she'll ignore the fact that your the son of a farmer? She's nobility what chance do you have?

It's clear he's looking for an answer.

Apex notices the men talking, and keeps appearing to study the book on her table, but if you look closely enough, she leans forward ever so slightly, and cocks her head toward the men, waiting to hear his answer as well.

Interesting. I wonder what the connection here is...
She thinks to herself.

Geez, after reading these back stories I feel like I should have made mine better!

I thought part of the situation was that nobody knows the Kaijutsus are nobility? I thought that was a pretty important part of the situation, actually.

And why am I feeling the need to use "ooc" tags in an ongoing recruitment thread?

From the players guide

Ameiko is a beautiful but somewhat irreverent woman of Tian descent who runs Sandpoint’s Rusty Dragon tavern and happens to be a member of one of Sandpoint’s founding families. Her parents and older siblings have met unfortunate ends over the past several years, leaving the young woman as the sole remaining Kaijitsu in town. Ameiko may be among the town’s nobility, but she’s never really cared for the aristocracy—she’s always had an urge to explore, and loves hearing stories of adventures and daring deeds. She even spent a year or so as an adventurer herself

You think being counted as nobility in a town like Sandpoint, while physically involved in running a business, is actually being a noble?

The family is a big deal in Sandpoint, as one of the founding families, but they aren't _nobility_ in the feudal sense of the word.

Liberty's Edge

Well her family was a founder of the town and it implies in the guide that they held power in an aristocracy.

Unfortunately it seems they are all dead, at least in this town.

It wouldn't necessarily mean much in a larger city but, technically she is a noble.

As strange as it seems, I was thinking a sylvan bloodlined sorcerer (if that's allowable). Possibly human. Not sure beyond that. But I'm hoping, so far, that's allowable?

Background:

Appearance
Inspiration for appearance
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 140 lbs.
Hair: Pale Auburn
Eyes: Red
Age: 102 years

Mi'isha appears as a young human woman in her late twenties with pale skin, red eyes, and hair somewhere between blonde and auburn in color. Besides her red eyes, her extra-planar heritage manifests in a pair of curved onyx horns crowning her head and a long whip-like tail protruding from her back-side. Her young appearance belies her true age, which is now over one hundred years.

She is seldom seen without her gear, and is always wearing the leathers and a long dark green cloak she uses when patrolling the wilderness. When visiting towns she usually puts the hood of her cloak up to avoid drawing attention to her unique heritage. On her back are a small backpack and a battered greatsword.

Personality

Mi'isha generally presents a stoic and distant persona to those she deals with from day to day. Due to this, most of the people who deal with her consider to be unemotional and detached. The truth, however, is that her stoicism is a facade she's developed over the years as she's watched her friends age and pass away one by one. She views her relative immortality as a curse, and often spends time remeniscing about friends and loved ones from days long ago.

As a Warden of Erastil, her duties require her to check on the villages she watches over from time to time to ensure the communities are doing well. The rest of her time is spent patrolling the surrounding wilderness, keeping a watch on the local animal populations and ensuring that a balance between nature and the towns is maintained. In each village she maintains friendly relations with the priests or elders of the town to facilitate her duties, but otherwise keeps to herself.

Background Story Synopsis

Childhood
Mi'isha knows little of parents besides that her mother was a half-demon and her father a fallen priest of Erastil. The cult they headed was discovered and wiped out by a group of Paladins and Inquisitors from the surrounding region shortly after Mi'isha was born. Not wishing to harm the innocent child, the crusaders stopped in Sandpoint and left her in the care of one of their member's acquaintences, Davon and Evya Mvashti. As a child she showed almost no signs of her heritage, and was raised alongside their daughter Niska. The two were inseparable, and spent their days earning a reputation as troublemakers in the town.

At the age of 14, Mi'isha's inheritance finally arrived, leaving the her to deal with the extreme physical changes that accompany an otherwise human body suddenly developing horns and a tail. The Mvashti's, unsure of what to do, contacted the man who had left Mi'isha with them, Seris, inquiring about her condition. Within a few weeks, he was at their door and asking to see the poor girl. He discussed the situation with Davon and Evya, explaining to them the circumstances behind Mi'isha's birth. Convinced by Seris that Mi'isha would have a difficult time ahead, and would need additional guidance to deal with the permanent changes that were coming, the Mvashti's agreed to send her off with him. Bidding her friends and foster family a teary goodbye, she left with Seris.

Over the course of the next fifteen years she trained under his guidance, learning the ways of a warden of Erastil.

Adult Life
After her training, Mi'isha travelled between towns undertaking her duties as a Warden. During this time she would return to Sandpoint to visit Niska and her other friends. During the next several decades she began to notice the other gift her heritage provided. While Niska and her friends had continued to age, Mi'isha seemed to still be as young as she had been when she finished training. While she continued to tend to her duties, she watched her friends and mentor age and die off one by one until only her sister, Niska, remained. This experience left her with a sense of sadness and bitterness that haunts her to this day. In the subsequent decades Mi'isha visited infrequently and usually only to visit Niska before disappearing into the wilderness again for years. Nevertheless, there were bright spots during this time. Chief among these were Niska's marriage and the birth of Koya, both of which brought Mi'isha back to Sandpoint for a several years.

In the past decade, with Niska's mortality weighing heavily on her mind, Mi'isha has begun operating closer to Sandpoint again. During her recent visits she has become closer to Niska's daughter, Koya, who is a grown woman in her own right now. In her last visit with Niska before she passed away, she was asked to promise to settle in Sandpoint for the next few years to watch over Koya. She also asked Mi'isha to accompany Koya on any journeys she might make during that time. Given Mi'isha's affection for her foster sister, she readily agreed and moved to the outskirts of Sandpoint soon after Niska's passing. Mi'isha makes a point of visiting with Koya regularly, but has otherwise avoided interacting with the townsfolk.

I hate it when I leave my phone at home T-T

@Chyrone: A really cool character background! A new take at least on the rescue trait!

@Aquanda: Another good take on the classic rogue.

@TexNess: Sorry. While it might be an interesting concept, I don't want to veer too much from established lore/mechanics.

@Apex: You can keep the scrolls if you multiclass into one that uses them. Sorry, but like with TexNess, that begins to turn towards too much minmax business.

@Armond: Works for me n_n

@ShadowyFox: Sylvan bloodline is accepted. If you'd mind rolling it up, I'd love to see it.

Also, since I suspect I may forget my phone again tomorrow (hey, it happens...) I will announce the first player at midnight!

Thinking a Dervish Dancer bard if that archetype is okay? :)

I'll definitely be putting it in post haste!

I hate it when my phone's battery dies!

The spells are on the wizard class list, just not ones that she has learned yet is all. They are also first level spells, which she can cast.

@Lady Ladile: As long as you have a fine reason why your character has a dance style that is predominately seen hundreds if not thousands of miles away, then go ahead, Dervish Dancer is accepted.

@Apex: Gotcha. They are fine, then.

Ok, awesome. :)

@Armond: not to offend you but I have never had any luck participating in pre selection role-play unless it is a requirement of the selection process. I really don't want to jinx myself again in this AP. I have been rejected enough times in the past year and a half for the Jade regent game.

However: if we do both end up in this game I do foresee an interesting interaction time. also there would be a very good chance you might have ended up on the receiving end of a rather uncouth barbarian dock worker that looks out for her brother.

O.O I remember that dock worker!

It would have turned out the fine no matter what, I would have mentioned his confidence/lack of confidence and egged him on to ask Ameiko out.

true that he lacks confidence regarding Amieko, but I am sure also that Noro, being a bit hot headed, short fused, and not wanting to take much time figuring things out might mis-interpret things. but Lou would probably intervene

@Shadoyfox: yes I am sure you do...Noro is probably my favorite character. I just want to give her brother Lou an chance to reach new heights now.

If I can get more game time with Lou, he may end up being my second favorite.

In that case, I'll switch my idea to a Staff Magus if that would be more appropriate. The background I had in mind will work just as well with that concept and you would probably find it more acceptable.

Alright, just 30 minutes until the first announcement. Now remember folks, if I pick a character who's trait is for the person you are picked as well, do not dismay: I am picking 5 people, so one lucky NPC will have 2 people with traits specific for them!

Poor Sandru

I know. Poor guy just wants some friends...

Alright, first choice!

Wednesday's Choice:
Ishikawa Kaijutsu! Congratulations for making it in in the first round!

For everyone else: Thursday and Friday will have one pick each, and Saturday will have two! So do not despair and fear, because you still have a good chance of getting in!

nice choice, holding out for the next round.

Liberty's Edge

Congrats,

And now we play the waiting game.

Ooooh. The wait begins... *frets*

We seem to be lacking in divine casters. And people who like Sandru. Interesting...

Liera has a bit of a thing for Sandru, she's just cripplingly shy. That campaign trait would work just as well for her, to be perfectly honest.

@GM Lugos

Sorry, just checked the srd, and you're right about that... In that case, it'll just be a divination wizard ^^

Also, is Big Game Hunter allowed? Varisian Tattoo as well, but only post level 5. I'll roll up a character soon.

I'll allow Big Game Hunter, as well as Varisian Tattoo since those aren't really game breaking feats and fit well with the starting region.

Wow. Well, that choice REALLY hurt my chances, I think.

I can keep the story mostly unchanged and rework Fujihiro Dun as Ninja, if GM Lugos would prefer? But I have multiple Scouting meetings this evening, so I doubt I will be able to complete the conversion tonight.

Sovereign Court

Congratulations Ishikawa Kaijutsu.

Here's hoping for the rest.

Grand Lodge

"I, Grantix, would like to join your caravan" says a short and scarred half-orc. "I have kept many other caravans safe as they cross Varisia and the Hold of Belkzen with my fighting prowess."

Somehow I missed this one, is it too late to try to get into the last 4 slots? This character should meet all objective criteria of the recruitment. As an extra bonus, he likes Shandru and can cast divine spells. :) A detailed backstory and the like are in the character profile, but I can reproduce them here if you would like.

Lantern Lodge

Neato. Thanks for choosing me, and thanks for the congratulations!

Grand Lodge

Grats Ishikawa. Just wondering why I am listed as undecided?

I /kinda/ feel my chances are dimished, but there still is a chance based on how Lou's story is and Ishikawa's story is.

so I will not count Lou out just yet.

of course if Lou does not make the cut I guess this AP was just never meant to be for Lou...

to Ishikawa:

again congrats. you managed to accomplish what I have yet to ever do.

get in both games that I have been trying to get into for nearly 2 years. (Jade Regent, and Way of the Wicked) both in double digit rejections or failed games that never really got started.

I got in one Jade Regent that the DM lost interest before all the Players even checked in.
