![]() I apologize, Work craziness @.@ Never work doubles days in a row... Orsino reaches over Komana, striking the little kobold on the head. A goofy look crosses it's face, and with a small, almost cartoony twirl, slams into the ground. The closest swing kobold loads another bullet, winging the little projectile at Komana. Atk: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7 Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 The furthest, however, has gone all beady eyed at Orsino. Winding up, he tries to nail him with his little rock. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 The one 'West' of Komana steps forward and japs at her with his little spear. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2 He nicks her a little. The one 'north' of Komana tries to scarmble away from Bexer and Komana and prompting AoO from both. ~~~~ Kossuk, meanwhile, moves forward, knowing he needs to join the fray to protect these allies of his. As he nears Komana, he swings his sword down on the little kobold before her. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1 ![]()

Ranzo's arrow hits the nearest sling wielding kobold. Stuck and howling, it screeches out in pain. [spoiler=Draconic]"Kill them! Stew them!"[/b] Komana rushes forward atop her steed, and though her action is admirable, she misses mark having struck the ground too hard on her dismount. The Kobold that had been struck by Ranzo's arrow winds up his sling, attempting to hit the giant (Orsino) Atk: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Dmg: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 It hits, but is no more damaging than anything else. The other slinger, taking his comrades idea, tries as well. Atk: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 But he misses mark, his eyes having wandered to the human who had rushed forward. The Kobold before Komana raises his little spear up and tries to jab her with it. Atk: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 But misses! The other two attempt to box her in (allowing her one AoO against the Kobold of her choice). The one she pays no heed to tries to stick her with his spear. Atk: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Crit confirm?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Dmg: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 He lands a solid blow on her, and grins as best he can before he realizes all he'd hit was her shirt. Bexer presses Fidge forward, but the horse had not noticed the kobolds like it's rider had. Surprised and a little shocked, it's hoof misses! ![]()
![]() And the goblins! The red goblin (in the doorway) raises it's bow and aims at Liera, while muttering in Goblin. (AoO from Lou) Atk vs Liera: 1d20 ⇒ 7 But it misses by a mile! The one next to Lou takes a quick roll to the side, trying to dig it's dogslicer in his leg. Atk vs Lou: 1d20 ⇒ 12 Like it's ally, it fails to land it's blow. Kaaji, Lou, and Fenra now! ![]()
![]() Sorry for lack of posts, absolutely nuts week @.@ As Komana and Orsino approach, the Kobolds snouts rise in the air giving it a few strong sniffs. When the two speak up, the whole gang of them turn and screech. In Draconic:
"Protect the foods! Protect the foods!" There are 5 of them, three raising spears while the other two pull slings from a strap of leather about their waist. ROLL INITIATIVE Kobolds 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

![]() The tip of the spear catches it in the shoulder, piercing several arteries. Will: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (14) - 3 = 11 Screaching, the one nearest Lou lashes out. Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 13 Attack 2: 1d20 ⇒ 17 It misses! The one next to Liera freaks, swinging at her. Attacl: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Crit confirm: 1d20 ⇒ 7 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Though the blow lands perfectly, Liera's... unique physiology allows it not to readily harm her, amazingly enough. ![]()
![]() Well, Sadly we have lost Mikhaela and Tess. T-T To move along without them, Mikhaela has been called away, and Tess has agreed to escort her back north. It's a sad goodbye, but life goes on, yes? Looks like the party has decided to press on towards the next portion of their adventure! As the meal finishes, Oleg and Svetlana bid you all well. Jhod simply smiles and says he shall pray for you to Erastil. Kesten goes off somewhere trying to find a flask. Though in the afternoon, the sun will be up for a few more hours. Horses ready, you all head south-west towards the forest! You all may talk for a short bit, but I'd also like Perception checks. Speaking of rolls... STUFF: 1d100 ⇒ 20 ![]()
![]() Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11 The goblin realizes it's off some, but still attempts to swing at Lou.
The second one (in the doorway) rushes out towards Fenra, Dogslicer raised high!
The last one, shaking from head to toe, moves forward, a small bow in hand. Aiming at Fenra, it fires a small arrow at her.
Ouch! Alright, Lou, Fenra and Kaaji are up! ![]()
![]() The check was for the blue lotus in your possession, yes? All this talk of Grave Lotus @.@ n_n This is the lotus known as Stella Lotus, or Star Lotus. It is used for a large number of general folk remedies, but the pollen is usually sought after for its more unique effects on the senses. If leaves and pollen from 3-4 Stella Lotus are brewed into a tea (DC 12 check to prevent boiling the leaves), it acts like a potion of Keen Senses, but only lasts for 1 minute max. ![]()
![]() Kossuk nods at Komana, his head twitching at an odd angle as he does so. "The forest. Your path, your past, your future, the forest holds. Spirits there are there. Ancient beyond knowing. A lure, or line." He stares at the group of folks assembled. "If not undone, ours will be a history unlike all others." Seeing as this is technically late in the afternoon, would you all like to head out now now or in the morning? ![]()
![]() "I hope. Maybe longer, in fact, most likely. But I hope that the swordlords and their lackeys back in Restov decide to do something about this. After all, these bandits are messing with their trades." Kesten pulls a flask from a belt pouch, taking a swig. "But I'll keep those fools under key until then. You all have your orders as much as I have mine." ![]()
![]() Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Though rocked some by the scream, it's ears had been sort of folded over in fear, protecting it from much of the scream. Panicking, it lifts it's dogslicer and rushes at Liera. However, doing so causes it to leave itself open to both her and Kaaji! AoO from both of you. The other two rush forward, one practically pushing the other aside to try and attack the odd bird-person. Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Goblin damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 It lands a glancing blow on Kaaji. ![]()
![]() Kesten nods at Ranzo and the group. "Treason... They'll be lucky if hanging is all they get. Agreed, I'll send a letter with one of my men to Restov at sun up. In a few days, weather permitting, we should get something back, plus a caravan to take these... Fools back for sentencing." Jhod Kavken nods at Orsino and Ranzo. "An odd fate for those slain you have. But hopefully their bodies will serve some purpose for this fine, if small, community." Turning towards Mikhaela, he gives her a small smile. "Would you care to help me in interring their bodies to the dirt?" Kossuk, meanwhile, walks over to Komana. "Speak of fey, of spirits. A history with them is what you have. Tell me of this, maybe I can help you." His third eye blinks, almost as if staring at Komana's past. "A past remembered is a foundation for the temple of your future." ![]()
![]() It's fine Ranzo! Kesten turns to Ranzo. "Well, we can hang them here, or try and have a guard unit come from Restov to take them back to get hanged there. If we keep taking on prisoners I'm afraid our resources will stretch to the breaking point. I've already placed an order for double shares of rations as is..." ![]()
![]() NO LOOKEY!:
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14 As Lou rounds the building, the sounds inside go a little silent. Slowly, the door to the entrance cracks open, Lou right in the eyesight of what appears to be a goblin! "KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" It shrieks out in fright, jumping back towards something behind it. Within a few moments, the shrieks seems to echo about the entire camp. Roll initiative, folks n_n ![]()
![]() As the meal is eaten, Jhod turns to Mikhaela and Komana. "It's an odd one. I won't go into too much detail, since there is not much. I am standing in the wilderness, darkness all about me. I wander, lost, not a sign of life about me. Strange towering trees all about me, laughter just out of earshot. And then a roar, the most feral, spine-numbing roar one could imagine. And as I walk, I enter a clearing where a mighty bear is in the middle of it. As it rears up, the whole world changes, turning in on itself." He visibly shakes as he gets to that part. "I can't be too certain, but... I think it's Old Deadeye trying to tell me something. And when I heard about folks heading south, I just felt a draw as well." Kesten and his men listen as well, hanging on to his words. Most of them worshipers of Erastil themselves, it isn't long before they are talking amonsgst themselves loudly how the dream must be a vision. But Kesten pops the table to get their attention. "I believe one of you has guard detail, yes?" They look at each other, then the youngest looking one walks off. Oleg, meanwhile, looks unfazed. He's busy devouring his wife's meal. Svetlana, however, has hung on as well to his words. "That is a vision, I just know it is." ![]()
![]() Kesten raises an eyebrow at the two of you. "Well, that's... interesting." He looks at Orsino intently now. "I agree. The sooner we have the lay of the land, the sooner we can deal with the bandits." About that time, Oleg steps forward. "I should prolly tell you all that one of our regulars came by while you were sleeping. Gave him a list and the goods to sell back in Restov. Should be back in about 3, maybe 4 days with your money and requests. That should help, yes?" ![]()
![]() Alright The day at the trade post passes quietly. The party sleeps off their fatigue. Waking up at around mid-afternoon to the delicious scent of Svetlana's cooking and hearing the voices of several folks outside at the tables commenting on how hungry and grateful they are. The sky is clear of all clouds, but a good breeze from the north chills the air some. Oleg is wrapping up work on the roof of his home. Svetlana is getting ready to dole out food to the guards, Kesten Garess and Jhod Kavken. As you all are roused, Kesten walks to you with a smile. "I trust you all slept well. Good time to wake up too. So, how was the first day out? Any trouble or was the area largely clear of people of ill repute?" ![]()
![]() Kesten Garess walks over to his men, barking a few orders at them. Jhod simply nods at Orsino, giving the man a smile once more. "And rest you should. Good man Oleg over there says you all were out all night. Sleepiness can be a greater problem than a shoddy shield or sword. Rest my new friends, and tell of your deeds afterwards." Gonna say everyone heads to bed, yes?
