You wake up with a splitting headache. The only thing you remember about last night is heavy drinking at the bar. You feel yourself swaying around as if you were drunk..... or on a ship. You barely get the chance to stand up when a you hear heavy footsteps. The door opens and unmerciful light fills the room. Several men walk into the room, one of them has a whip.
The man with the whip says: " Still hurting from last night are ye. Well its time for you to meet the captain so get up on deck before he flays you and has you cooked for dinner."

Icero Atmor |

Icero was on his feet, his hands going to his right side for his sword and gun. He looked down, incredulous when they came up empty. Weapons or no, Icero looked ready to fight when the men entered, apparently their numbers and the whip gave him pause, however.
After the man with the whip spoke, Icero began to chuckle, and then laugh. "You kidnapped me to serve on your ship? Don't you have any idea who I am, or why I was in Port Peril?"

Charles Beecroft |

*groan*
What in the Nine Hells was that? I don't remember watered-down grog packing *that* much of a punch in the past...
Charles staggers to his feet, bleary-eyed, and looking like he is ready to throw-up.
"Wha-? Where am I?"

Icero Atmor |

The alcohol, and maybe something else, was still pounding in Icero's head, so he seemed to take a few moments longer than usual to figure out what Henk had said. He gave the other man a strange look that lingered for several seconds, before replying, "Well sure he doesn't care now, but that'll change quick enough." He turned his attention to the man with the whip, his words slurring slightly, "And as for you! Where have you been for the last several months, when I've been looking for a ship to sail on? I'm gonna tell your captain that he could have saved some time and effort by askin' me to join instead of this press gang nonsense. In fact, you'd better be glad that I was, am drunk, because otherwise all of you would have three holes in your head, one smack dab in the middle of each eye!" With that he took a staggering step, apparently an attempt to stay on his feet. He looked around at the others, and then added, "Now what are we waiting for?"

Charles Beecroft |

I've been press-ganged? That explains a lot... I guess it could have been worse; they could have knocked me out, rather than drugging me...
Charles warily eyes both the other people who seem to be in the same predicament as he, and those who are clearly their captors.
Right, the one with the whip is clearly some sort of leader. I wonder what he will do to challenges to his authority...?

well was expectinga discussion thread to finalize characters but whatever. just updated my alias
Sasha awakes to the commotion in the bunk area hearing the creaking of the wood rocking of the waves. a ship...this is most fortunate time to fit in, gain the trust
upon hearing one proclaim his self importance intersting, looks like royalty. perhaps that could work to my advantage she thinks to herself.
Sasha checks to see she still has her mother's locket, confident that it is still there she pops it open and dumps a small pill and takes it.
She then makes her way topside feeling the wooziness of the previous night quickly fading.
she takes a small "Alchemist Kindness" pill she kept hidden in her locket "removes the effects of hangovers/alcohol it is the same as the powder just in pill form for faster acting
Alchemist's Kindness

Favored by young rakes and others of means, this is a crystalline powder resembling salt. Mixed with water, it makes a fizzing cocktail that eliminates the effects of a hangover thin 10 minutes of drinking it.

Yamiko Kurogetsu |

shuriken here
awakening, was a woman of Tian origin clad in a heavyweight black kimono with a fair hint of Sakura print. she was fairly pale with medium length black hair and reddish hued eyes. she noticed her equipment had been stolen with the exception of her clothing when she had reached for a knife. What in the name of Queen Ileosa is going on here?

Yamiko Kurogetsu |

if it weren't for my employer being slain by random adventurers, i wouldn't be here. why must i be mocked by the gods in such a cruel way? Pirates? i used to lock up several dozen bandits a week for execution in the cells of Korvosa. a pirate is merely a bandit of the sea. Yamiko Exclaimed, Still miffed at being exiled from Korvosa by the random adventurers whom had slain Queen Ileosa, a wish spell from thier wizard had stripped her of the power she bore as a member of the Kuthite inquisition and Ileosa's dog. forcing her to live like the bandits she once locked up by the dozen.

Sasha Neville |

Sasha hearing the conversaion as she make her way topside can only roll her eyes if they only knew.

Yamiko Kurogetsu |

"I've never even heard of any Midnight Prince, why worry about someone I've never heard of? Without waiting for a reply, Icero allowed himself to be led up to the deck.
the midnight prince of not of this world. he is but my patron god i was raised to worship. he governs suffering, envy and loss. Yamiko said, grudgingly heading up deck.

Jack Torringer |

Once on deck, you are led to a group of people. The man with the whip goes to stand next to two other men. The man in the middle of the three starts to talk
" So these are the new 'recruits' eh. I am Captain Barnabas Harrigan. This ship is the Wormwood. I have only one rule: Never speak to me. I like talking but not with you. And one more thing, even with you lot we are still shorthanded, so anyone caught killing someone else will be keelhauled. Mr. Plugg here will make you into a pirate."
The Captain leaves and the third man who seems to be in his mid twenties with his head shaved except for a braid leads you over to the rigging.
"I am Mr. Plugg, Second Mate. The other man here is Master Scourge. He is the Overseer of you. Now what we have here a few tests to determine what your jobs on this ship will be. First test climb up this rigging. We need a few more riggers so the first to the top has that job.

Henk |

Seeing just how surrounded he is, Henk sees little choice but to comply. We still at port or out to sea?
Henk steps up and begins climbing.
If you want straight d20s
dice rolls: 1d20 ⇒ 7
dice rolls: 1d20 ⇒ 5
dice rolls: 1d20 ⇒ 6
dice rolls: 1d20 ⇒ 2
dice rolls: 1d20 ⇒ 14
If you want climb rolls
climbing: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
climbing: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
climbing: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
climbing: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
climbing: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Sasha Neville |

Sasha makes her move to climb the rigging perhaps she would find solice in that job. at the very least she wouldn't have to listen the the "royalty" she was brought on board with
Climb rolls:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Total of all rolls: 72
If it looks like there is a chance that Sasha could win but it is a close race she will consider using animate rope spell to slow up a competetor but only if she has a chance to win

Sasha Neville |

Sasha struggles to resist the urge to animate a rope around Henk. The thought of that whip is not very desirable and definitely makes the decision for her. Any way he has one.
Instead Sahsha animates a rope to help her quickly get back to the deck.
