Nasrin |
Nasrin moves towards the fight, she urges Jagar into the fray, "Help them hunt!" she shouts to the wolf. The feral girl steps into the doorway near Grey and sees the Witch Radosek hovering above the gorund. She begins chanting to summon more of the eagles that did such sanguine work in this same yard yesterday.
Move to N17, Summon Nature's Ally II for d3 Eagles, Full Round Casting so I'll be here a bit ;) This sacrifice's Bull's Strength. The only spell she has available is Faerie Fire :)
Jagar, Companion of Nasrin |
Jagar hears the girl's shout and knows what to do. He bounds towards the dragon and sweeps around it, trying to stay low and fast as he does so. Once in on it's tail he snaps forward but fails to put his teeth into it.

It's powerful icy claw slices deep into Corum, straight to the bone.It is currently 10ft in the air
Radosek then points a finger in Greyston's direction and the alchemist immediately sees the edges of his vision begin to blur and whiten. A sudden panic begins to rise in him.
It's easy to miss stuff like that though especially when the game goes over a page. Does that change Jagar's action?
Elleross Oronar |
The d judge hears the mocking cold words of Radosek the witch and his years of anger and bitter hatred well up inside him like a raging storm and striding forward he looks up at the witch with hatred.
your realm will soon be ash and bone Radosek. I am here to judge you witch! he snarls as he replies you are guilty, the sentence is death!
Moving past Greyston and the others he is aware of the danger he puts himself in but it is a distant thing. He hopes his protective images will be enough should the dragon strike at him.
if I don't provoke an aoo or if it misses I will cast a focused spell using a hero point. Move to r20
Elleross uses all the knowledge he has gleaned through the lonely years and as he begins to chant the words of power he alters their structure ever so finely, manipulating the arcane threads boosting the power of the spell, doubling it's potential.
....Calor,ardescit,ignis the words thunder from his mouth as he raises his hand and two brilliant shafts of blazing energy streak toward Radosek, carrying with them all of Elleross rage and vengeance.

The construct cannot possibly pass a check to hover so lands in front of Corum and Sapphire. Radosek has cover from it from some of you however.
Round 7 - Heroes
Corum Mac Roth |
Corum shrugs off another bite as if it was nothing, despite it leaving him bleeding heavily. The song of battle surges within him. He is transported to another time where mighty heroes from his tribe battled the frost drakes to carve out their civulisation in the frozen moutnains. The rage powers his muscles and drives him forward relentlessly. Again he sets his feet and with no thought of defence swings his axe in a wide and murderous arc. Sending it hammering into the dragon.

Elleross flinches away violently as the dragon lunges for him it's claws destroying one of his images, the attack missing him by mere millimetres. But it is enough .
Unleashing his spell he Watches with grim satisfaction as the smile is wiped from radoseks face as greyston's bomb and his own scorching spell combine and engulf him in burning agony.
The pain you feel is only a fraction of what you deserve deviant! Elleross hisses and stepping away from the dragon he begins to cast another spell.
Inside his memory palace the dormant crystal globes of power suddenly blaze back into life as he draws on the deepest reserves of power within himself and forces his mind to recall the spell he had just cast.
A severe pain tears across his temples and his brain feels like it has been speared by a hot skewer as the power builds within him.
With a cry he unleashes the spell and blasts the witch again.

Elleross Oronar |
your crit damage on a direct hit should be the basic bomb damage (1d6) + (int modifier) x2.
The extra d6 damage you get from higher levels isn't multiplied I believe just added on afterwards .
So I would say your damage is 21. (5+5 x 2 + 1)
Though I may be wrong, not too familiar with the alchemist :)
Nice bombing though Greyston.
Sapphire |
Ah thank you Nasrin you're right, it was a 2nd level spell so DC was 19 and I passed it, shame it had no effect!!

Del sprints out of the teleporter and rounds the corner in time to see Corum and Sapphire smash into the dragon, sending sharp splinters of ice flying in all directions.
Greyston and Elleros concentrate on the witch however and burn Radosek horribly with their combination of bombs and spells.
His skin now blackened and blistered, Radosek raises a shaking hand and spits his words of power, causing a huge billowing bank of nauseating fog to rise around the heroes.
This is Stinking Cloud. Everyone make a fortitude save vs DC 16. If you fail you are nauseated for the entire time you remain in the cloud and for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 rounds after you leave. The ice dragon also has a 20% miss chance against anyone adjacent to it and you cannot see through the fog

The witches retaliation is swift and incapacitating, as the roiling cloud of vapour erupts all around him he begins to choke on the acrid noxious fumes and he bends double as his stomach cramps up and then he vomits all over the wall beside him.
Retreating back along the wall he follows it toward the doorway.

"Ugh. What in all the hells? Rado-stink? Did you do that?" Del's face blanches and he looks ready to vomit, but manages to keep his breakfast for the moment at least. Also, Nasrin and Corum need to make a new fortitude save this round because they are still in the stinking cloud
Round 9 - Heroes
Corum Mac Roth |

Corum ignores the choking fog that engulfs them. His mighty endurance is being tested to the limit but he continues his merciless onslaught. Ducking under a sweeping claw he leaps up and brings his axe down with tremendous force. There is no finesse to the blow, just brute force fuelled by his terrible rage.

With a sound of feral rage a cry escapes her mouth, "Raaaargh!!! Her shield falls to the ground and she charges the witch, a two handed grip in her scimitar. 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Radosek lays his hand on Greyston’s chest and then turns as a screaming, furious Nasrin comes charging through the cloud of noxious gas like a fury. Her blade held high over her head, she brings it down like she were chopping wood and slices through flesh and bone, spinning Radosek like a top. Sapphire seizes the opportunity, striding forward and wrapping her animated hair around his neck, pulling him inexorably onto her blade which sinks into his stomach and buries itself to the hilt.
His eyes grow wide in fear and surprise, his jaw works reflexively but no words escape, just a burbling, gasping choke as he sinks to the cold ground.
Combat Over
Greyston, you still need to make that Will save however.
Greyston Fenris |
Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Greyston Pushes Radosek off, resisting whatever he had planned for him as Nasrin and Sapphire move in to finish him off.
"It's over?!" Greyston shouts out, he nods at his saviours and then moves to attend Nadya. "Nadya are you ok? It's over he's dead."
Corum Mac Roth |
Corum sees the witch fall. He raises his axe in both hands and roars in triumph. It is a primal raw sound filled with ferocious challenge. He drops his hands and stands leaning on his axe for a moment. His mighty chest heaving as he catches his breath.
He turns to the others and smiles broadly. Striding forward he grips each of their hands in a warrior's shake. Wrist to wrist. "Good fight! Worthy of a song over an ale or two I reckon. I tell you though. I feel like I could sleep for a week." He laughs heartily and then the pain from hia wounds hit him. He looks down at the ragged tears in his chest and shoulder and spits blood onto the floor. "damn! Need to bind these."
He sits down and begins ninding his wou ds with strips of cloth.
Nasrin |
Heh...dramatic death! That'd look good in the movie :D
Nasrin pushes her sword into Radosek's chest, a grim satisfaction at the complete lack of response. "Good kill, Sapphire. Now, the pack needs us." Nasrin goes to Jagar and tries her best to comfort the poor beast. "Works better than eating grass, no?" Jagar's grin, then vomit makes her laugh a bit. This is what revenge feels like. Bile and elation.
GM-JZ |
Ms Nadya! Hatch cries, swooping down and appearing next to the woman.
It's alright, I'm ok. She says, sounding groggy. Just winded that's all
She picks herself up with a grunt of effort and staggers over to Radosek's corpse. She looks down at it for a long time, only moving when his spreading pool of blood threatens to stain her boots.
That was for Thora, you bastard. She says quietly. If only it were my blade that spilled your worthless guts.
Elleross Oronar |
The old judge heaves himself out of the fog, stumbling back through the doorway he sags against the wall and clutches at his abdomen.
The cramps are intense and he finds himself sweating despite the cold as he vomits again until he is just dry retching over and over.
The cries of triumph cut through the fog of his nausea and he smiles thinly.
that bastard is dead ! Now we send a message to his b@+%% of a mistress he thinks coldly his anger still burning brightly . Radosek is the first witch he has encountered since he lost his wife and his hatred for them burns hotter than he imagined.
After what seems an eternity of stomach wrenching pain he wipes his mouth and stands upright on shaky legs.
As the cloud dissipates he can see Radosek surrounded by the others, his blood steaming in the chill air and he reaches into his pouch and draws forth two dark slender objects.
Gripping them tightly the points dig into the flesh of his hand as he strides forward his face a grim mask, his skin ashen and his eyes bloodshot and intense.
you and your kind are a stain on the world, spreading violence and despair wherever you tread he says almost to himself as he walks across the frozen yard death is too good for the likes of you, you should be made to suffer as I have suffered! A thousand deaths will not make up for your evil he hisses coldly as he reaches into his clothing and pulls out a small hammer.
Kneeling beside the corpse he pushes the cold iron nails Into Radoseks eyes, the iron hard points bursting his eyeballs like overripe fruit.
let this serve as a promise to the rest of your kind. Vengeance and death will find each and every one of you he says grimly and as he spits out the words his hand flashes downward slamming the nails into his skull one at a time.
The ringing echo of the strikes seems impossibly loud as it rolls across the yard.
When they are buried to the heads he calls on his arcane powers and reaching out with his finger he traces his own arcane mark upon radoseks forehead.
let your mistress see what awaits her he says as he stands and looks down upon his work and finds that it is good.
Del Drinnar |
Del, looking up as he recovers from his own gastrointestinal distresses, widens his eyes as Elleross performs his visceral rites over Radosek's body.
As the room goes awkwardly quiet in the silence that follows the hammerstrikes, Del bounces up on his tiptoes and interupts, "Well! That was, ah, gruesome. Shall we saunter back up this teleporter and close that portal now or are there more bodily desecrations we wish to perform before hand?" While his tone is light and humorous, it's plain to see that Elleross' treatment of his captor's body unsettles the half-orc more than a little.
Elleross Oronar |
Elleross drags his gaze away from the corpse his breathing returning to normal and he looks across at the half Orc.
His face now seems calm but he has a tired haggard look about him, following the effects of the stinking cloud and the mental exertion from casting so many spells.
an excellent suggestion Dell. Let us see what can be done about the portal. he replies his tone steady and a little detached.
someone should see if this thing has anything of use upon its person he says as he moves away from the corpse. Wiping the blood off his hands with a small rag he cleans the small hammer and tucks it away .
Del Drinnar |
Del kneels down beside the disfigured and scarred remains of his jailor, patting Radosek down for any items or implements that might be immediately useful with the teleporter and portal as well as those that might come in handy down the line. He looks up from the task and offers a shrug, gesturing toward the teleporter with a thrust of his chin as he glances from Elleross to Corum and Nasrin then back to the judge once more. With a disarming grin and whatever trinkets he found in hand, he stands and wordlessly and follows along while inwardly pondering the nature and appearance of savagery.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
As they near the device that will bear back to the room with the enormous globe, Del turns to Nadya and extends a hand to the grieving woman. "Dear Nadya, would you like a personal hand in dismantling all that devil-in-man's-skin worked to build? There may be some satisfaction in unmaking what Radosek sought to accomplish here."
GM-JZ |
Just what was it that they were doing here, Del? Nadya asks, drying her eyes one last time.
