Day 3, 294/91 (Current Turn/Turn of the Clock, time 3:00 pm) Turn 3 of 6
Ignoring the heavy metal (and possibly trapped!) portcullis to the west, the party continues on, cautiously, to the south, when they see, just ahead of them a few 10’ wide openings in the walls, flanked by columns*
*Chambers are always accessed by a ten foot wide opening flanked by columns, this allows the characters to “sneak up” on the chamber (stealth rolls if you please) and peek around them to see if there are monsters lurking in the chambers
I'll give you an opportunity to examine each chamber and then it will be the end of turn 294, and time for a WME check

Ixat |

Ixat creeps along the pillars on the east side, cautiously peering into the eastern room and examining it, while gripping his bardiche tightly in his fighting claws.
Stealth Check: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3
Intuition Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
I guess Ixat isn't the stealthiest heh

Dasilane |

Dasilane will follow Izabek's lead, shaking his head at Ixat's noisiness. "Apologies about my companion. He's handy in a fight, but his love of battle prevents a more 'refined' approach to most problems."
Intuition: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Day 3, 294/91 (Current Turn/Turn of the Clock, time 3:00 pm) Turn 3 of 6
Turn 294 is ended when you explore to the end of the passageway that turned, so before we have a wandering Monster Encounter determined by the Periodic Check, let’s have another WME check for time, this means you could have two encounters back to back.
WME?: 1d6 ⇒ 6
No Wandering Monster
The party finds a narrow 5' Wide passageway leading out of the empty Chamber on the left (to the east) and follows it for 60’ (30’ is the passageway established initially, and then it has 30’ of more passageway hat includes a turn and widening) then it turns to the north, and becomes 10 feet wide.

Dasilane |

Intuition: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Day 3, 295/92 (Current Turn/Turn of the Clock, time 3:10 pm) Turn 4 of 6
When the party realizes they have reached a sort of Dead End, they pause.
Ixat looks at Eckowo, who then turns his eyes toward the pale Dasilane, and it is as if the three of them all have the same strange feeling at the same time, a feeling like danger is growing. Izabek and Slugg see the three others exchange knowing chances and turn their eyes and ears to the dark and quiet around them.
Slugg hears it first, but then Izabek picks up the sound as well. It is the sound of the clacking of something hard on the stone coming from the passageway behind you.
Roll for Initiative, and apply a +2 modifier
Monster Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 7

Dasilane |

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15
Knowledge (to identify creature): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 (when it becomes visible)

The sound of something large and hard hitting the stone floor grows, until around the coner comes a large insect looking creature, its multifaceted eyes seems alien and cruel and vile goo drips from large mandibles. When the creature sees the party it lowers its head and prepares to rush forward in an attack!
The monster has come around the corner! It is round 1

Izabek |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Izabek, having expended all of his divine spells, steps forward to within 30' of the creature, casting Lightning Arc at his latest foe, giving the insect a noticeable shock!
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 for Lightning: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Dasilane |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Dasilane begins a detailed analysis of the creature's movement patterns and offers speculation on its preferred offensive/defensive tactics.
Starting inspire courage using Perform(oratory). +1 attack/damage to everyone. :-)

The battle is over!

Izabek |

Alright, don't hurt yourselves patting each other on the back. Let's move on. Nothing to see here. Izabek looks at the door in the dead-end portion of the hallway. Might as well try this one.

Day 3, 295/92 (Current Turn/Turn of the Clock, time 3:10 pm) Turn 4 of 6
Taking the role of leader, Izabek moves back toward the north, toward the unexamined door in the west wall.
Suddenly, It’s Dungeon Minion, too appears near the remains of the big bug, and she gently shoves the monster to one side with her boot.

Its "A" Dungeon Minion, too |

She is wearing her official “referee’s” outfit, and she blows her whistle hard and long, then holds up her hands and shouts, ”Sub”
Gronx the Strix, looks left, then right, and then points to himself with a questioning look on his face. It’s Dungeon minion nods, in the affirmative, and Gronx suddenly vanishes in a puff of acrid blue smoke.
Then a Dog team pulling a wheeled, small, but ornate carriage appears at the southern end of the hall, next to the remains of the big bug, and a Goblin Girl steps out. She looks around, almost as if she is bewildered by the sights around her, and then the carriage and dogs turn and dash away.
It’s Dungeon Minion, blows once, a short sharp sound, on the whistle, and then says, ”Play On”
She smiles and says to the ceiling, ”Did I do that right?”
And a voice from above that sounds feminine, but low and sultry says, ”You’re improving”
And then the minion disappears leaving the Goblin girl standing alone

Dasilane |

Dasilane blinks for a moment. "Well, little missy, that was quite the entrance. And who might you be? Hopefully someone skilled in the ancient art of 'door-opening', as our resident expert just vanished...."

Tricksi |

Slugg no eat Tricksi, Tricksi eats slugs. Tricksi's long tongue licks her lips and she lookz like she's remembering a good meal.
so, door.
Not sure what to expect Tricksi examines the door.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Tricksi |

Tricksi eyes the strange creature warily while working on the door.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 For either lock or trap. IF there's a trap she'll ask the others to stand back first.

Day 3, 295/92 (Current Turn/Turn of the Clock, time 3:10 pm) Turn 4 of 6
The newly arrived Goblin girl enthusiastically approaches the Metal Door and examines it closely. She finds no sign of a trap, and it appears the door is unlocked, so she gives the door a once over, checking the hinges and handle to be sure anything dangerous is disabled, and gives a pull on the handle.
Unfortunately, Tricksi’s DD roll was poor, and she has set off a modified flame strike spell trap that originates at the end of the passageway (to the north)
There is a sudden sound of rushing air, and then…
WHOOOSH
Flames fill the passageway.
each character must make a Reflex Save, the DC is 15, success means you take half damage of the following
Ridiculous Amount of Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 4) = 20

Dasilane |

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Forgetting that Dhampirs aren't immune to fire, Dasilane bravely attempts to block the explosion with his body. It works about as well as expected, and he now looks and smells like a charcoal briquet.
At -4 HP and bleeding out. I'll roll stabilization after everyone else has gone.

Tricksi |

Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
dropping flat to the ground and avoiding near all the flames Evasion Tricksi giggles madly. Ooh, Pretty

Dasilane |

Hey there Izabek... Good buddy... Have I ever told you how much I appreciate the fact that you can channel negative energy? Because I totally love you for it. Please don't die....

Ixat |

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Ixat flinches as the flames blast into him, being just a bit too slow to dodge out of the worst of it. The smell of singed flesh permeates the hallway, and Ixat's skin is further darkened into a deep charcoal. He mutters something that sounds like "hjeals plz"
