Keryth Tarathiel |

Keryth deftly dodges the slap on the back and contemplates casting steal breath upon the dwarf. It is a very difficult decision but in the end he decides against it. For now. But when Niversal speaks up, Keryth's patience wears thin. I am going to the keep. Feel free to join me near the wall if you wish. And with that he pulls a rod out his waistband, casts invisibility upon himself and stalks off in the direction of the tower.

Terquem |
Keryth is making a decision to head toward the keep, assuming he is not stopped, he will see something important. If the party follows, and also takes measures to conceal themselves some way, they can also read the spoiler, or if anyone follows Keyrth toward the keep without being concealed, something entirely different will happen – but Keryth will still see this
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 14

Ballar Fargrim |

Of cultural note: Indecision and constant back and forth banter is actually quite common in Canada. Honestly, usually we end up ordering pizza and watching a movie :P
Ballar watches as Keryth stomps off in a huff and after a moment nods, Leads by example tha one. Squinting off in the direction the elf wizard disappeared, the dwarf looks to the others, Shall we?

Niversal Two Blades |

Niversal uses the wayfinder and then starts running towards the entrance no way to know where the wizard is
stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38
Niversal is running straight towards the entrance four times movement which is minus 20 to stealth, +20 for invis, +14 for skill so take five from the roll lol

Ballar Fargrim |

With a look of amazement Ballar turns to Zae, Tha Keryth's a born lead'r! Ah could nev'r get Nivers ta move tha fast. The dwarf's look turns a tab more serious, Suppose ya'r gonna blink out now too, eh?

Keryth Tarathiel |

Ballar watches as Keryth stomps off in a huff...
I have asked you to stop doing this. Stop writing for my character. Keryth did not sulk off like a petulant child.

Zaehyra Sillaesa |

"No, not yet. What are you going to do?" Zae asked. "Do you need me to make you invisible?"

Ballar Fargrim |

My apologies Keryth
Looking sheepish, Well, if it's no'too much trouble...

Zaehyra Sillaesa |

"Well I certainly want to earn my way. No trouble at all." Zae mouth curves up slightly into a smile before touching her holy symbol and speaking a short phrase.
zae casts invisibility on Baller. Then herself, and Then Kamastra.
[b]"You're invisible as long as you don't attack anything now, but you only have a few minutes, let's make sure to meet up by the hole in the wall."[/ooc] Zaes disembodied voice confess forth before the sound of Kamastra's paws can be heard running off.

Terquem |
okay, this is weird, everyone is invisible, and I think that means everyone will see the spoiler above, and be able to move past it, if that is your intention, but at the same time, none of you can see each other either, right? So, do you want me to bring you all to the collapsed wall? or do any of you ant to examine the catapult and Giant Skeleton?

Keryth Tarathiel |

Your description of Keryth behaving like a pouty and spoiled kid does not match my character who is a snooty and aloof elf wizard. :)
As Keryth hustles towards the keep, bemoaning his lot in life and the fickle nature of some of his companions, he spies something unusual at the catapult. Slowing to a walk he veers towards it to get a better look at it and the war machine. Is it shading it's... eyes?! The puzzled wizard then follows the skeleton's gaze to try and determine what it is looking for.
perception take 10: 10 + 13 = 23
Is the skeleton animated or frozen in place?

Ballar Fargrim |

The red and orange hairs on Ballar's back (perhaps fur is a more accurate description for a dwarf's back) raise as Zae's brand of magic envelopes him, Woah! Feeling tingly, Ballar nods his understanding to the mistress' instructions, then makes his move toward the wall. The distinct sounds of metal clanging and chains chiming together, no doubt from a slung Dorn-Dergar, are followed closely by hushed dwarven curses on almost every step. On the bright side, this tells Zae that Ballar is at least moving in the right direction...and that she should probably put some distance between him and her own position.
Dwarven Stealth Haze+20: 1d20 - 2 + 20 ⇒ (1) - 2 + 20 = 19 Perhaps he should just trip and fall...

Niversal Two Blades |

Niversal wants to keep as much invisibility as possible and told the others he would meet them at the opening so runs there 1200 ft in a minute so he uses up a second invisibility increment to run to 2400 ft

Zaehyra Sillaesa |

Zae seeing the skeleton will spare a moment or two to look for anything vaulable it might have laying about before continuing on to the hole in the wall. If she's certain of any spare time, she will approach the castle and look around a bit before returning to the collapsed wall out of sight of the skeleton.

Terquem |
So, I am wondering what the possibility of all five of you running into each other at the same time is? I'll update the game tomorrow. Nothing interesting can be seen around the skeleton, so unless someone wants to interact with it, it will not notice any of you, even Ballar, as noisy as he is, is not detected as he passes by

Keryth Tarathiel |

So Niversal arrives just after 2 minutes. I'm guessing Zae does as well, with Ballar arriving a minute after that. Keryth arrives last, another minute after Ballar.
Keryth shrugs his shoulders and with a quick glance at the catapult, to see if it looks operational, continues his brisk pace towards the keep. He heads in the direction of the breach in the wall, content to stick to the original plan for the moment.

Niversal Two Blades |

If Niversal sees nothing of danger he will use regular stealth up to the wall and hide against it using near by rubble as cover near the faklen opening
stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

Ballar Fargrim |

Wheezing slightly from the exertion, Ballar spies the skeleton and stops. Catching his breath the dwarf watches the giant for a moment or two and actually contemplates asking it what it's looking for. But then Ballar quickly remembers he doesn't speak skeleton and even if the skeleton did have the ability to speak, Ballar doesn't speak Giant either - or at least not the dialect that is spoken in this world. Wiping a few beads of sweat from his forehead, Ballar rattles on to join the others by the wall.

Day 15 (by the adventurers counting) (turn 57) approximate time of day, 10:20 am
Niversal arrives at the breach in the castle wall, and when he is sure there is no immediate danger he drops his indivisibility protection and hides among the boulders and the first thing he sees is…
Zae arrives just behind Niversal and is startled when he suddenly appears and then hides behind a rock. She quickly moves to join him by the wall.
Ballar sees Zae appear and move into the ruble to hide with Niversal, and then he moves to follow as well.
Keryth is the last to arrive, and joins the others.
Once they are gathered by the breach in the castle wall, they all peer over a large rook to see what lies inside.
It looks as though the castle yard was scorched recently, by some large fire. The grass within the castle yard is black, and burnt in a circle some eighty feet in diameter. From this hole in the castle wall you can see the entrance to the castle building itself, on your left, and the tall tower is to your right and all the way across the yard in the far right corner.
Hiding in the rocks of the collapsed wall section, you also see a patrol appear from the left, from around a corner of the interior castle keep wall. A small group of Armored Skeletons marches straight across your field of vision, from left to right. They do not seem to notice your presence.

Keryth Tarathiel |

Seeing as how Keryth has 8 minutes remaining on his invisibility, he will remain so for the time being.
As the others gather at the breach, the still invisible wizard whispers to the others that he is here and following along...

Niversal Two Blades |

Niversal will wait for the others to arrive and after the patrol passes ask if one of the casters would check to see about of those boots are magical and if so he will stealth out and sleight of hand them off to aquire them

Zaehyra Sillaesa |

"Oh yeah, those boots." Zae shrugs her invisible shoulders following Nivers pointing.
"Do we want to use the remainder of our invisibility to sneak into the castle or should we try for one of the towers next. We can pick up the boots on the way in?"

Ballar Fargrim |

Based on Keryth's earlier caculations, Ballar is all out of fairy dust :(
Hunkering down beside one of the rocks, Ballar pops his head up and then back down again in a flash. Whispering he says, All Ah see's tha giant skelet'n, then suddenly realizing he's looked over the wrong rock, turns around to repeat the process. Oh. Those boots. Right. What she said, then giving Zae two thumbs up. Jus'let me know when ta move an which way.

Day 15 (by the adventurers counting) (turn 57) approximate time of day, 10:20 am
Peering over the ruble of the fallen wall section, Niversal can see a door to a small gate house on the right castle wall (looking north, about eighty feet to the north, and he can also see the door that leads into the large round tower in the northeast corner of the castle, some forty feet further to the north. He cannot see any doors to the interior of the castle keep, so any door that leads in must be around the corner to the northwest. Niversal also spots another breach in the castle wall, only in the north castle wall, 130 feet to the north, and about forty feet to the west of a point directly across from the opening where the party is hiding.
The armored skeleton patrol marches in a pattern, going across your field of vision, from left to right (west to east) and then when they come to the east castle wall they turn, in proper formation march and walk to the north, until they come to the round tower, then turn again and march off to the west eventually disappearing out of sight into a part of the courtyard that you cannot see into.

Keryth Tarathiel |

Keryth's disembodied voice whispers from just behind you, I could drop them in a pit. If you think no one is watching.
The invisible wizard scans any visible windows, arrow slots or wall crenelations for signs the courtyard is under observation.
perception (take 10): 10 + 13 = 23

Terquem |
The façade of the Keep, the walls facing your field of view anyway, are blank stone walls, from the ground up to a height of about fifteen feet, where you can see three very narrow arrow loops in the wall facing east and spaced equally apart along the keep, which is about one hundred feet wide (north to south).
Then there seems to be a small tower, a third floor, only one small room in size which stands high on the castle keep. This roof top, tower room of the castle keep is located in the center of the wall facing you and is small enough that you can see both its east and south walls, and each of these has a single narrow arrow loop.

Niversal Two Blades |

Niversal will use a third invisibility charge and move to the boots and remove them, before doing so telling everyone he is running to the large roynd tower entrance and then does so with expedience dashing there swiftly
stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23
When arriving Niversal will look around

Ballar Fargrim |

While Ballar remains hidden behind the rocks, he watches for the skeleton patrol to reappear. Trying to determine what kind of window he will have to make the crossing to the tower without alerting the patrol, the dwarf taps his beard as he counts up the seconds in his head until the patrol reappears.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Can I get a review of what the giant skeleton is looking at? What part of the compound can we move in/through without the giant noticing? Is Ballar able to determine this?

Keryth Tarathiel |

It took Niversal over 2 minutes to reach the castle, so you would be using your 4th minute to retrieve the boots.
Again Keryth's whispered voice can be heard, Is he planning on taking on the whole castle by himself?

Ballar Fargrim |

At the sound of Keryth's question, Ballar turns his head several times trying to discern the direction the wizard's voice came from. Guessing, Ballar picks a spot a couple feet to the left of the wizard and shrugs, Seems tha way, then resumes his vigil of the patrol.

Zaehyra Sillaesa |

"I'm still here, just let me know what you all plan on doing before doing it. I suppose Nivers couldn't wait for us to decide on how to approach this place before having a look at those cursed boots and now we should wait here until he comes back, or go to where he said he was going." Zae sighs surrenderingly after a silent pause.

Keryth Tarathiel |

You need cover or concealment to use stealth, something in short supply on a well manicured lawn devoid of obsticles in the middle of the afternoon. ;)

Terquem |
I believe Niversal intended to use invisibility to reach the ruble of the collapse in the wall, and then to use conventional stealth to move about among the ruble. Turning invisible once again, he has disappeared from the rest of the party, but left you with a message that he was heading for the large round tower in the castle’s northeast corner
Ballar watches the Skeleton Patrol disappear behind the Keep, going to the west, and waits. He counts to himself, and makes it to the number “30” before the skeletons reappear from the west, turn as they come around the corner of the keep and march southward. They march southward for the whole front of the keep, then turn and march to the east, headed toward the east wall, crossing in front of the breach in the wall, about thirty feet to the north of Ballar’s position. Then they must turn to the north, march toward the north wall, turn again when they are near the northeast tower, and begin marching toward the “alley?” between the keep and the north wall, where they will move out of sight agin in just a few moments.

Ballar Fargrim |

Thay don't seem ta be look'n behind em...Ah'm pretty sure we can follow in behind tha patr'l as they head north. Wha'do-ya think?
Ballar's thinking of shadowing the patrol as they go around the interior until he reaches the stairs.

Niversal Two Blades |

good idea Ballar, We should wait til they round the corner Niversal says as he thinks about those elven boots burning a whole in his pocket like spare coins at a gambling hall

Zaehyra Sillaesa |

"Hard to tell what eyeless undead are 'looking' at, let alone if they are even capable of such a thing, they probably just pick up on life force."
"Ready when you are."

Ballar Fargrim |

With everyone ready to go, Ballar waits for the patrol to pass by one more time. Falling in behind the skeletons after they turn north (when the last one passes northbound -F 22), the dwarf tries his best to travel in silence. Although the skeleton's pace quickly out stripes the bulky warrior, but he is not eager to get that close to them anyways.
