Hella Wolf
"I don't get it." She said referencing the motto joke. Shrugging she listened on.
"We could see if someone could do it for us. As for fangs...." She giggled as she got that one. "Don't you like being bit?"
She chuckled. "We can always get someone that knows these things better to make it for us. I think green would make the other colors show up better. Maybe a bright green?"
Cerian Screamingtrees
She pats your hand an yawns, "The morning will be plenty of time to make plans, and I have much more I can tell you and your friends now that I'm not so weak. I know you stayed while I was injured, stay tonight?" he smiles weakly as she lies down.
I woudlnt have it any other way my lady." He said simply coloring a bit and smiling as she pat his hand. He adjusted the chair and leaned back into it a little watching her quietly while drifting off to sleep himself.
Hella Wolf
"I think a pack running together is a great symbol. Matters not what you were. Once you join us, you become a wolf and part of the pack. What you bring to the pack matters. I think that is something people can believe in." Hella shifts looking at the stars. "It is time to sleep. We can talk more in the morning. That way we can hear everyone's input." Hella would get up and head to the stables to check on Blue moon before heading to bed.
Miri Pindles
I'm not sure how many days have passed in my absence. If anyone knows, please feel free to correct me.
"GOOD MORNING, DARBI!~"
Miri bounds up from her bed bright and early, carelessly straightening the sheets with a wave of her hand. She chatters merrily to the grumpy thylacine as she does her morning stretches, pausing only to luxuriate in the invigorating feeling of the fresh magic that bubbles through her body like sparkling wine.
After dressing neatly for the day, orienting each hairpin just so, she skips out to the fenced-in yard with her Constant Companion at her heels, and begins the day's training. "Let's go, tiger-eyes! Move-move-move!" Working toward the Flank trick, day... 5/7?
After half an hour of dexterous drills, she ceases her chirpy orders and pounces on the "overgrown puppy" for petting, head-rubs, and belly-scratches.
Hella Wolf
Hella will rise in the morning and do her morning routine to recover her spells. She also lets her hawk go flying for his morning breakfast as she waits for everyone to rouse.
She watched with amusement as their bubbly Miri trained her companion and her and her Wolf watched on. Once their training time was done Red Wolf would come over to play with Darbi.
Hella chuckles at Miri. "How are you this morning Miri? Bright and cheerful I take it?"
Miri Pindles
The gnome greets Hella with a ridiculously fancy bow, with plenty of hand-waving and even a few pirouettes. "I'm feeling fantastic, Miss Hella! Fresh as a daisy, like I'd been sleeping for ages. Does my hair seem brighter to you?" She fluffs a particularly gravity-defying lock and pretends to preen. Darbi races around the yard with Red Wolf, but it's clear that Wolf is holding back a bit to let Darbi keep up.
"I'm eager to hit the road!" She cocks her head as the thylacine lets out a grumpy harrumph. "Darbi says we're burning daylight," she confides. "Shall we wake the others? I can think of some particularly nasty ways to get them up...."
Hella Wolf
"Nah, let them sleep. We did come in late and had a tiring day. Plus, it just means we get to enjoy the start of the day and Svetlana's cooking before anyone else."
Grins as she would make her way to the benches waiting for Benny and Reynold to get up. Her hawk was perched on her arm looking around eyeing everything.
Cerian Screamingtrees
Eventually he fell asleep in the chair a soft smile on his face, and again he woke up early, sliding out of the room as silently as possible.
stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
He saw some of the others up and moving and he nodded, lightly stretching while waiting for both food and everyone else to get up.
Cerian Screamingtrees
Much stronger though, still I would think she needs a bit more rest. Are we going after the bandits soon? I do not wish her child to be parted from her any longer than need be, though rushing would be bad too.
He said simply following the wolf in woman's form torwards the new building.
Aluxion Clairfeld
Aluxion comes down from the wall where he'd been greeting the sun and praying to Erastil. He waves to Oleg. "Feeling pretty great this morning. How has trade been? What's the new shed for?"
Miri Pindles
When she notices the new building, Miri surreptitiously begins to slink toward it and peer into any windows or cracks.
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Oooh, I seeeee....
Oleg Svarsini
Casting his eyes over at the tower you see he looks slightly displeased at it's presence, "Ah yes, well. The guardsman insisted on a proper cell for the prisoners. I'd have just as soon strung them from the walls but they pointed out that you might have more questions for them. Oh! Heraldry! What did you have in mind? I have to prepare my restock order shortly so I can bring in anything you need."
Hella Wolf
Hella smiles brightly. "Well so far we had decided tentatively on a background of bright green. With a pack of wolves on it. Each wolf to the color of our hair. Since we all have unique colors. Our allies would be marked with a cloth with a wolf's head. Silver for the Kobolds as our first allies. Though I am unsure of the specifics of it."
She would nod to Kesten and waves at Neila looking around for Benny and Reynolt seeing if they were up.
"I believe the Captain is right. We would have questions for any that get captured here while we are gone. I think that was a good choice. Plus, your mate would not like it to have such garbage on her walls. How is she this morning? I believe the gift the Kobold's gave her made her very happy."
Cerian Screamingtrees
He smiled broadly when Neila arrived. only blushing slightly as she sat beside him.
As for restocking, perhaps you could see about mining equipment? perhaps we can trade with the kobolds those things. Mikmek what sort of things might your people be inclined to trade for in return for mined resources?
He asked their little koboldian ally.
Nedyr
"Tricky to explain without sounding a bit silly at first, but the metals... and there are traditionally only two -gold and silver, go on nonmetals- Black, Blue, Red, Green, Purple, and even Orange, or vice versa, but never metal on metal, or non metal on non metal. For example, a redwolf wouldn't go on a black field. Seems silly, like I said, but it dates back to easy recognition on the battlefield, and to times where certain tinctures were harder to get. Now there are patterns to the blazons, 'stripes' for example, of various sorts under many fancy names. But these allow more variety and distinction. Different lands have even stricter rules..." He says, "Fortunately, we can bend the rules if we like. oh, and white and silver are interchangeable, usually."
The elf considers, "If you want the 'pack' on the shield, you can use multiple wolf symbols, or 'charges'. Three Wolf Head designs, four full bodied wolves..etc. That sort of thing. For reasons of my own, I wouldn't mind a little silver or white in there, and maybe a moon symbol but I think mostly this could just be fun period. And we will need symbols and names of SOME sort. People need ways to sum up even things like 'us' or 'them' or they get confused and frustrated in my opinion."
Cerian Screamingtrees
We could go with colors and a Symbol... then have individual symbols if need be, I think I have seen something like that on a knight before...
He added glancing to others. He couldnt beleive her kept getting enrapt in the beautiful neila.
Nedyr
"It's a new land my friend, you could declare House Screamingtrees 'noble' and put up a symbol for it if it doesn't have one already. Who's going to say different out here? " Nedyr smiles with good humor, "But a point well made there. I can certainly do the same and set up my own symbol for my own 'house' or 'clan' as I'd like. Vain of me? Surely, but then that can be a bit fun."
Hella Wolf
Hella nodded. "A moon wolf for you Nedyr. One looking at the moon without howling. A tree wolf for Cerian. One howling under a tree." She smiled as they moved back to the table and sat down. She would nod to Neila as they sit. "Hmm, what would fit Madam Miri." Hella mused allowed as she looked at the little gnome.
Hella Wolf
She grins and chuckles. "Yes I think a Thycline would fit her well but in keeping with the wolf motif...we could put it as an aura around it. An outline. Like with Nedyr we could put an owl in or near his wolf. Shows that our pack is mixed with wonderful people and while all different are all Wolves and one Pack.
Hella Wolf
Looking to Cerian and Miri. "So we need to think of where we want to explore. Right now we know that that camp is there and currently has more numbers than we really want to take on. That being said I believe Cerian had a point in knowing the territory around them. I can agree exploring the area around them and possibly picking off groups of them should we encounter them should be good. I don't think we are ready for a full assault yet. But, pack tactics and hit and run tactics we can herd the deer into places we want to strike them."
Hella shifted and looked at each in turn. "Also, should we get the chance to make allies in the territory we should. So if we don't need to attack it at first we shouldn't. Now, I am not saying drop your guard. I am saying, try to bring them into the pack and if they strike at us be ready to bring our fangs down on them. So Cerian, where would you suggest we start our exploration. I don't think we have mapped the territory between us and the bandit camp fully have we? If we have I would think to start circling from there but I want everyones advice and input."
DM AldoriRavenLord
Mikmek stops happily shoveling food into his gullet for a moment and with a big grin and poorly pronounced common manages the word "Food!"
This little outburst nearly makes Oleg burst into tears with laughter and his attitude towards the kobold softens remarkably.
As Nedyr relays the conversation to Mikmek he starts to ramble off in draconic. [b]"Raider camp is empty, Stag Lords people have all gone back to his redoubt. They are worried a larger force is coming, don't know it's just you."[b]
Nedyr
Aluxion Clairfeld
Aluxion perks up at the news. "Well, I reckon' that means less pressure ta stay near the fort. Less chance of it bein' attacked while we're out, y'know? One of our goals here, as I recollect, is ta explore an' map the Greenbelt. We might as well get started on that. Make a proper map, jot down all the important bits, and such."
With regard to heraldry, he pipes up that "As a man of Erastil, I'd appreciate a stag in there, if y'all are addin' animals ta the border of this flag thingy. On the fancy version, I mean."
Time to start exploring in an outward expanding spiral from the fort? Start by going SW?
Cerian Screamingtrees
I would certainly like to carefully check that former camp, perhaps we can salvage some of their traps and tree blinds, completely eradicate it in case they decide to return. He said glancing to Neila, He still remembered his promise to do whatever it took to save her child. He had meant it too.
Jazzai Moonbreaker
Well what we explored is marked by and X on the map. So we have 3 hexes explored. One that is between us and the Bandit camp. Oleg's and the hex to the east that has Bokken's.
Grinning up at Oleg. "That would be wonderful. Gives us something to look forward to. While I am thinking on it. Is there any other supplies You, Benny, or Reynolt need. Or even you Neila or Captain Keston and your men? If you are supporting us we must support you as part of our pack."
"Alright, lets confirm they are really out of the bandit camp first. Then raid it for anything and everything and explore that area. Then we come back and explore the area between Bokken's and this area we have cleared out already. South east of this fort. Then swing north and finish these last three areas around the fort. Depending on what we find we can make plans beyond that. Start simple and easy." Hella looked at Aluxion when he mentioned a stag.
"Of Course, A stag with a wolf around it if we go with that theme. You are part of our pack too. And doesn't The Stag Lord support packs?" She asked curiously.
