@Renata I was raised on a ship much like this one...sound carries down long hallways if you let it.

@Simmins Not deserters...something much more fun to shoot. And question!

This'll be fun!

Male Psykana Aspirant Wounds:8 Fate:1/1 (1) Armor: 7/7/7/7, awareness:45, initiative:+6, Dark holder

Well spotted Magistrate, hopefully they are lesser followers and have their meager training permits us to obtain information from them. It would be unfortunate if they possessed will enough to stymie our efforts at questioning. We do not have enough time for an extended interrogation currently." The psyker states, looking down the corridor and checking his weapons as the group approaches closer.

"I can expedite the information extraction if we retrieve them alive. Maybe superior firepower will convince them to come peacefully."

Cimbria checks her load out, and ensures her armor is snug and in place while cheerfully explaining:

They're looking to escape, and they're hoping for reinforcements. Blocking their escape and destroying thier hope will go a long way towards demoralizing them...and make them more pliable when we put them to the Question!

You get the impression that she is about to break into song at any moment.

Mathias smiles, "By the Emperor's Grace, Cimbria has received guidance as to our next step. These cultists are allies of those we have executed. Having already dealt with their impending companions, they will be caught unaware when we confront them. The advantage is ours. Alas that we do not have their companions' broken forms to cast at them to break their spirits. But the righteous judgement dealt out by our firearms will do, just fine. But yes, we should take one."

Male Psykana Aspirant Wounds:8 Fate:1/1 (1) Armor: 7/7/7/7, awareness:45, initiative:+6, Dark holder

"If we prepare a proper killing field and aim for the feet and lower extremities we could likely cripple them without a great danger of slaying them. Such wounds could likely be staunched by the quality materials in Vox Adept Sciripro's medicae supplies keeping them alive and in agony. This would mean the added leverage of an ally suffering at their refusal to speak along with the fact that if one of them is to perish that we have others to question."
The psyker states looking toward Cimbria
"It would also mean the one doing the interrogation would not need to be nearly as cautious in their obtaining information. I doubt any of us are trained in the Holy Inquisitions interrogation techniques, so the possibilities of mistakes happening and we requiring an additional subject to question are high."

Simmins tunes out what Vector is saying about a tenth of the way in. Well hey, I just got a autogun that's perfect for a little bit of killing field preparation. Twice blessed by the emperor.

If it goes well Simmins will start thinking of it as a talisman

Will update as soon as I get my wifi back. Vacationing does had its down sides, and I really don't want to eat up my data plan for my phone. Should post next response within a few days, tomorrow or Tuesday at the earliest.

Male Human Sanctioned Psyker: Preceptor-Savant

Okay! The hotel I'm at now offers complimentary wifi, so we're up and running!

What is your plan of action?

Roth gets the impression the others plan to run up on them and start firing. Not terribly inventive, but effective

Do we know the layout well enough to get to where they are going before them?

Male Psykana Aspirant Wounds:8 Fate:1/1 (1) Armor: 7/7/7/7, awareness:45, initiative:+6, Dark holder

The less steps in a plan the less places you have to screw up.
Basic idea I've heard so far is this.
1. Find 'em
1a. Set an ambush before they arrive
2. Shoot to wound
3. interrogate
4. Murder and onward

We know they are going toward the evacuation pods, we know where the pods are due to having a map of the ship on the data slate.
So we get there before them set up an ambush and take them.
Or ya know, we could just ram them with the tram. It moves fast enough to break a bone or two right?

This being the case we must find speed enough to reach the escape vehicles they wish to reach with time to spare. Technographer Mander, Vox adept Scipro can you access the holy vessels floor schematics and determine where we would be best served to place our interception?
The psyker looks to the more "Violence inclined" allies before coughing once.
"If any of you have a desire to contribute your expertise to this idea it would be preferred. I will admit my skill at strategy is.. lacking." The psyker obviously uncomfortable with taking a role in group strategy. It will be nice, once Holy Inquisitor Sharben arrives and I am finally assigned a battle group. the level of autonomy this strange collection of individuals is permitting me is disturbing. Servitude and Duty are what I was forged for, it will be nice once I am returned to such purposes.

Speed ain't the problem...they're waitin' for thier dead friends. Enough time for us to set up. Ya want livin' prey. Trappin' is the way to do it.

Hopefully I might know a general direction to the docking bay where the salvation pods are located. Each ship follows the same basic design (STC) and I've spent years living on one.

1/2 Int 19: 1d100 ⇒ 24

ARRGGG!!! So close! Haha :D

This ship is different enough to what I know that I could hazard a guess but that would be it...a guess. I'm willing to bet my life on the Emperor's guidance, but I can't expect you all to bet the same stakes. I "think" the pods are in that direction... <GM can add further directions to supplement, please.> Of course, if Brother Riktor has a better set of directions, I'd rather follow knowledge and skill than blind luck.

Male Human Sanctioned Psyker: Preceptor-Savant

The tech-slate indicates that the salvation pods are on a different floor.

"It would seem they are on the floor above us," the Tech Priest replied. "I'm afraid I've spent most of my life planetside. However, logic suggest three choices here - attempt to follow them and capture them, attempt to work out how they plan to move to the saviour pods and ambush them, or attempt to discern the most likely pod and ambush them there, perhaps by rigging the pod to trap them and refuse to launch." Riktor shrugged. "If it's spirit can be convinced to do something so against it's function."

Mathias looks around the company, "If a trap is to be laid, then we must get in position. Thus standing here toddling serves the Emperor as much as a broken lasgun. Let's move to the evac pods. They are looking for their friends. Perhaps we can get there first, and a couple of us can go within, speaking quietly. They will be drawn in, seeking their fellow heretics, at which point the rest of our company will come from some nearby hidden spot and take them. As for keeping them alive? Well, taking a limb can incapacitate them without killing them..." Mathias draws his heavy blade.

If the elevators we just came from are the only way to move between floors then the traitors will have to get there to get to the pods. But if they're lost and clueless then Emperor knows how long it'll be before they get to the elevator. Either we ambush the approach to the lift and wait them to come to us or we hunt them down and either hit them sneaky or mebbe bluff them before we launch a surprise assualt Simmins says.

Male Psykana Aspirant Wounds:8 Fate:1/1 (1) Armor: 7/7/7/7, awareness:45, initiative:+6, Dark holder

The psyker looks to the iron box encrusted vehicle they rode in, considering. "If it is speed desired..." Looking to adept Scrpro brows half furrowed in thought before continuing his thought "What do you consider the chances of an average human surviving collision with a tram moving at full speed Vox Adept Sciripro?"

Because why not just run them over with a grimdark golf cart and deal with the repercussions later.

Male Psykana Aspirant Wounds:8 Fate:1/1 (1) Armor: 7/7/7/7, awareness:45, initiative:+6, Dark holder

The psyker jerks slightly from his position as he notes the cultists pointed out to him "Yes Vox Adept Sciipro and the door they stand behind looks solid, the hall is also small. Ramming them would likely break their legs but would give them a fair chance at surviving." The psyker finishes blandly "An excellent target, though I wonder where the other cultists escaped to. Magistrate Arctus has said there was more than two."

Might be a dumb question but how far away are we from the Gellar fields by the way?

Your enemies are right in front of the door. Beyond that is the Enginarium that contains the Gellar Fields.

Tech Use 28: 1d100 ⇒ 27 Skin of my teeth there.

Titus looks at the inaction of his fellow tech adept and curses under his breath. Reaching overhe snips a small wire and then inputs a few quick commands before hopping off the now deranged machine. A tear drops down his cheek as he pats the side plate of the conveyance in supplication to its spirit and whispers the final command function."I am sorry.”

Crying over a toaster? What have I gotten into? thinks Roth. Roth Jumps Clear

Male Psykana Aspirant Wounds:8 Fate:1/1 (1) Armor: 7/7/7/7, awareness:45, initiative:+6, Dark holder

Vector looks in confusion as he sees the adept leave the tram. Then he spies the damaged wire and removes himself from the tram. I could attempt to speak them but the rites of thanks Ardent Mendicant once taught me would likely just fall off my tongue like ball bearings. Plus whatever reprimand the Mars priest would have for me on speaking them without being one of his own.

Much as I'd love to ride the tram to victory I don't much have the spare wounds to gamble on the damage I'd take.

Cimbria dives off the cart at the last moment. "For the Emperor!!!"

Male Human Sanctioned Psyker: Preceptor-Savant

Will assume that those that have remained on the cart have readily braced for impact and strapped in their seatbelts...

The two mooks in front of the door barely have enough time to scream or shout in surprise as the service cart roars down the hallway, driven by an overridden servitor.

[ooc]Mooks suffer a -10 penalty because of a lack of space to dodge and the sheer speed of the berserk-servitor-driven cart.

Mook #1 Dodge 44: 1d100 + 10 ⇒ (40) + 10 = 50

Mook #2 Dodge 24: 1d100 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Impact Damage: 1d10 + 1d10 + 1d10 + 1d10 ⇒ (6) + (9) + (2) + (1) = 18

Both mooks are unfortunately mowed down, one crushed to a bloody pulp under the cart's treads and the other pinned to the wall, the physical components of his body below the waist ending in a blood-stained mess.

The mook that's pinned against the wall struggles to stay alive and raise a shaking pistol, but only manages a bubbly groan as his vitae flows out of him and his life expires.

Coming down the hall behind the tram with his autogun in hand, he shakes his head. So much for any information we may have gained from those heretics. Still, they have been cleansed, so it was a worthy action. Looking about the hallway, he draws a sightline down both side corridors as he closes on the doors to the Gellar Fields, keeping an eye out for other cultists.

Male Human Sanctioned Psyker: Preceptor-Savant

Perhaps you could search them? It would be a messy affair, but perhaps something stayed intact despite the collison?

Vector watches the impromptu battering ram, hearing the crunch and the crack of bone. The slick squelch and spatter as nearly a full humans worth of bloodied chunks of matter are ran other the wheels and sent in a spray out the back of the vehicle. The psyker looks to the others, before listening carefully down the nearest passage in the hall before moving onto the next one and doing the same

Hall 1 Awareness44: 1d100 ⇒ 47

If he hears nothing of note/nothing shoots him in the head.:
Vector nods satisfied of the corridors safety
"unfortunate that they died. The fury of the trams machine spirit was great indeed. We should remove the tram and block one of the passages.
Unloading the boxes on the cart and setting up defenses for when the allies of these heretics inevitably arrived. We will ensure that this place is a death trap for those that come and that only by flooding this place with enough of their blood to choke us will anyone pass to the doors behind us."

The man begins calmly removing his outer armored cloak and rolling up the sleeves of his lighter undercloak.
"If one of you can placate the trams fury and give me access to their remains I will search them. Gore such as this is something I have much experience working with."

Roth walks up to the corpses. Hey, Want ta answer some questions? He looks back at the others. Yeah, they ain't talkin. Roth grimices and begins seaching the gory messes for anything of value. He raises a hand and quickly points at the others. Blood and bits of viscera fling loose in thier direction. Next time, you's will be doin' this.

You said perception, or search. Was kind of confused by this as I have never seen someone word it like that. No worries, cut in half is a fail so I will just go from there.
