Simmins Olways |
When all the hooded guys die, Simmins can ask Riktor if he can get the murditors under control. If so then maybe someone can use the extinguisher and Riktor can run in to mindjack them.
Cimbria Arctus |
Hey GM, looks like you called out damage for me and it may have belonged to Mathias.

Inquisitor Alistair Sharben |
@Simms: Your shot blows a hole right through your heretic. With a pitiful shriek, the wretch falls to the ground, quite dead.
@Roth: You blow two holes in the heretic. He doesn't even have time to scream before he topples down, dead.
There are only 4 Murditors left.
We are back at the top of the initiative. It is now Renata's turn.
Vector Linear |
Vector pops his head above the blessed box guarding him and scans the area, seeing the two cloaked figures bleeding their heathen fluids on the deck of the ship.
"Battle sister, Guardsmen Olways, what purpose would controlling a group of burning servitors hold? They are just going to melt and explode unless we had something to extinguish the-" Vector stops looking at a cylinder on the wall, a thought occuring "Vox adept Scirpro, Technographer Mander I am unsure if it is correct but there were similar cylinders to that on previous ships I have lived on. Would I be to correct to guess that such a thing serves to extinguish fires?" The psyker states looking toward the burning servitors.
Riktor Van Mander |
"Servitors!" the Tech-Priest bellowed through his augmented vox grill, "Know the blessings of Servitude to the Machine God! 01010000 01101111 01110111 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100100 01101111 01110111 01101110 00100000 01101110 01101111 01110111 00101110!"
Tech Use - Target 15: 1d100 ⇒ 71
Riktor shook his head. "The Heretek has corrupted the machine spirits. It'll take some time and meditation to find the correct incatnation to purify them. In the mean time, aim for the flesh." It was easier to extract and place the components in a fresh body than it was to repair the form and spirit of a damaged machine.
Sister Renata |
As Ricktor rose and shouted his benediction at the subverted servitors, Sister Renata's lips moved in a liturgy of her own "Emperor give your Mechnicas servant the power to burn away the apostate's touch from your blessed instuments."
However, at his explanation of his failure, the Battle sister merely nods then rises once more to expunge the heretek stain.

Mathias Gabriel |
Frustrated by the resiliency of the servitors, Mathias rotates his autogun on its sling, moving it to his back. He draws his monosword and suppression shield, preparing to close on he creatures.
does it seem like there is a way through the fire to the servitors? does it seem to be almost burnt out? also, do the servitors have a melee weapons?
awareness(17): 1d100 ⇒ 98
Inquisitor Alistair Sharben |
@Renata: Your shot blows a crater through the Murditor's chest, causing something critical to fail. With a pitiful moan, the Murditor slumps and falls to the ground. It is quite dead.
Please remove the Murditor you shot from the tactical map. I'm on my phone and can't access Google Docs.
@Mathias: You are unable to tell if there are melee weapons because of the intensity of the blaze.
Simmins Olways |
If the servie bastards are too dumb to come back under the Emperor's gaze then they're dumb enough to stay in the fire and burn. Simmins observes. I don't think we need to waste any more ammo on 'em and just let the fire do its cleansin'
Cimbria Arctus |
I am spending the round re-loading and will commence shooting after Renata's next turn! +5 bullets
Vector Linear |
I am assuming that the fire extinguisher is within 1 rounds movement, If it takes me out of cover to do so let me know and I will use a warp power to cover my movement.
"Then i shall retrieve the extinguishing device so as to prevent the purging flames from scouring the blessed steel too deeply." The psyker moves and retrieves the steel tube and its instruction pamphlet brows furrowed slightly "I do not recall a time such a device was of use on the bountiful beast, either the fires were too small or they engulfed a lard vat and took days to extinguish." Looking toward the blazing inferno of melting cyborgs and swiftly igniting synthetic and natural devices the throne bound pauses to consider "Perhaps I should obtain an extinguishing device like this one, in the case such a situation as burning servitors is to occur again. The fires contained in these simple flasks always seem eager to devour the emperors foes, some day that could work to my disadvantage."
Vector again uses a power to appear in a place where he is not, covering his movement toward the extinguisher.
Inquisitor Alistair Sharben |
Good question. Let me check.
The servitors' mechanisms are fragile and temperamental, able to withstand heavy arms fire but not the blaze of an inferno. They must make a Toughness check to remain standing...
Toughness 40 + 4 = 44: 1d100 ⇒ 87
Something goes critical and the servitors deactivate, powering down as servos jerkily move and cranial implants cook from the intense blaze of the fire.
Reward: 100 EXP for all.
Simmins Olways |
If no one else does than Simmins will grab the fire extinguisher and spray it over the flames. Don't want the ship to burn up because of something we did He mutters. Stuff looks beyond salvage, right Riktor?
Mathias Gabriel |
As the servitors collapse, Mathias methodically rises from behind the transport and heads out toward the bodies of the cultists and the servitors. "Leave behind no weapon which can be used against us later, we do not need to assist the Enemy by making it easy for them. But move quickly, the lift will be here in but a few moments." After he speaks he pauses, and a confused look spreads across his face. A few moments pass, then he shakes it off and begins stripping the bodies of weapons and ammunition.
given the hole he blew in the heretek's chest, Mathias will start with him, then work back toward the tram checking the cultists and finally the servitors (he will welcome any assistance)
Inquisitor Alistair Sharben |
The fire was put out quickly enough to prevent the remaining insulated ammunition for the servitors' twin autoguns from blowing. If you wish to take the ammunition canisters, it is possible to do so, but removing one of the twin autoguns requires a Tech-Use Test -10...which you have passed.
The Heretek's corpse is a smoldering ruin. The only thing worth salvaging is a las pistol and a spare charge pack.
The two cloaked figures only have on them 2 stub revolvers and 12 bullets by means of ballistic weapons. They were also carrying daggers and a small amount of pocket money...
Cloaked Loot: 2d10 ⇒ (10, 7) = 17
...which totals up to 17 thrones between the two of them.
Is there anything else you would like to know? Because if you wish to examine further, I suggest canceling the lift's descent and reactivating it later (no test).
Riktor Van Mander |
Reaching down, Riktor murmured, "Blessed Omnissiah, let these components be blessed once more by faithful service. Guide there machine spirits in the defence of Man. Deus Ex Mechanicus, En Nominae Omnissiah." With a squelching noise he pulled the twin auto-gun from the servitor, rubbing it down with a piece of clothes to clean the gore and soot from it.
Tech Use to free the second: 1d100 ⇒ 58
Shaking his head, Riktor pulled the ammo drum instead. "I may be able to free the second, given time, but the heat has fused it to the servitor's structure. I leave it to you if you wish for the second weapon. Would anyone care for the use of this one?"
Sister Renata |
Renata stands and calmly reloads the clip in her bolter with bolts from her pack. Gazing out at the wreakage of the servitors and hereteks she comments "The heretic always leaves such a mess....". Without another word, she joins Riktor out among the dead, keeping watch as he goes about his business.
At his offering of the autogun, she shakes her head "The blessed pattern of my bolter will suffice."
Vector Linear |
"To move without caution is just as dangerous as moving slowly Sanctionate Roth. However if the heretics have no means to contact each other, and do not carry data slates then there is little reason to search them and our course of action is set."Vector states looking toward he elevator console turning to respond to the Tech priest question as he frees an autogun from its moorings
"I am incapable of wielding a weapon such as that with the respect it deserves Technographer Mander."
If further help is required Vector assists with searching and moving things as needed, if not he reloads his weapons utters a small prayer of thanks to the fire grenades expended fury and moves forward with the rest of the group.
Mathias Gabriel |
Hearing the lift approaching, Mathias quickly grabs the laspistol and charge pack, then the two stub revolvers and bullets. As he does, he looks for any blasphemous iconography on the bodies that might help identify the assaulting force.
awareness(17): 1d100 ⇒ 15
Walking back toward the lift, he speaks to the others, "Blessed are those who deliver the wrath of the Emperor." pause "Now, who needs a sidearm?"
Simmins Olways |
May the Emperor guide its bullets in to the skulls of his enemies. Simmins replies gravely as he accepts the weapon, makes sure it is loaded and takes cover to train it at the elevator doors.
Titus Scipio |
Titus watches the whole proceeding with ditatched awareness, his mind trying to piece together the most likely outcome of their current predicament. The odds slowly becoming more favorouble as his companions display more competence than he had earlier given them credit for. Without a word he gathers up his supplies and prepares to move once more.
Inquisitor Alistair Sharben |
Upon close examination, some of the cloaked figures seemed to have tattoos at one point, but were either burned off or the flesh on which they were inscribe has been excised. You are unable to tell which power they owe their allegiance to.
Will that be all for this floor? If so, then I assume that everyone climbs into the elevator.
Mathias Gabriel |
Mathias shrugs and slides the stub revolvers into the folds of his robes while waiting for Titus to take the laspistol. If he declines, he tucks that into his belt while stepping onto the lift.
Ejecting the clip, he manually loads a few rounds to bring it back to full. "There were some tattoos on the cultists, but the fire and injuries made them impossible to identify in such a short time."
Cimbria Arctus |
Cimbria steps onto the elevator and waits expectantly
Titus Scipio |
Titus accepts the las pistol with a tender reverence that borders on full nurturing awe. A look akin to a father who has just been handed his child for the first time flashes a crossed his face, a look that is equal parts love for the gun and worry that he is not ready to handle such responsibility. "I accept this instrument of divine wrath with all due care and reverence. May my aim bring swift death to his enemies." Then, leaning against the lift a bit so as to rest his weary form, Titus addresses the group. "Haste does seem to be important at this moment. Maybe we should not dally here any longer?"
Cimbria Arctus |
Spending 100xp on Sound Constitution
Mathias Gabriel |
Mathias reaches into a small pouch hanging from his belt. Drawing forth a vial, he uncorks it and lets a few drops of a strange oil fall on the weapon. In a rhythmic chant, Mathias unleashes a strong baritone voice, "O God Emperor, Lord of Power and Might, righteous in strength, strong in battle, wise in council, mercifully accept our humble prayer. Send Your righteous blessing upon this weapon. Give to it power and strength that it may protect Your servants, the poor, the widows, and all that exist devoutly in your galactic Empire. Make them horrible and terrible to any enemy army, and grant victory to Your people for your glory, for You are our strength and protection and unto You do we send up praise and glory, to the Father of Mankind, the Light in the darkness of infinity, the Glorious Salvation. Emperor Protect."
Inquisitor Alistair Sharben |
The elevator your are on descends into the depths of the ship at a ralatively slow pace. It takes about thirty minutes for you to reach your designated floor.
You see that the enginseer's station looks as if an explosion went off inside it. There is the lingering scent of plastek explosive and scorch marks on the adamantium walls.
The servitor driving the service tram looks at you and asks:
"Query: Please input destination."
It is possible for you to drive the service tram to the Gellar FIeld generators, but you need to find a map of the floor first. I suggest searching.
Simmins Olways |
Awareness check right?
Simmins grimaces and readies his auto gun, now twice blessed by the Emperor/Omnissiah Emperor's warmth but this place is a mess he says as he searches the destroyed station.
Awareness 38: 1d100 ⇒ 28
That barely qualifies as one degree of success I think
