Seeing the abomination pause its attacks, Hearda steps back away from the creature, lowering his weapon but not his guard.
"You can understand...it? Can it comprehend our words Felix?"
"I'm not sure," Feliks said. He continued in Aklo, "We are in just the same fix, but the stars are the right color for us. I think. My friends want to know if you can understand their words. Can you?"
The creature looks at Feliks and snorts, and the halfling knows it's what amounts of laughter for the creature. "IS that what those noises are? Talking? Oh. No. I cannot understand them."
Sigvald will take this opportunity to stand up and put his sword away, keeping his hands still as he makes sure he's at a non-threatening distance
Hearda still is skeptical of this creature's intentions but does continue to talk to it, having Feliks translate his words.
"What is your name? You say you came from outside...from the mists, where exactly did you come from? How is it the mists do not harm you?"
The old man moves away from the creature Feliks is suddenly so friendly with.
"It doesn't understand us," Feliks said before resuming translation for the group.
"So just you then." The old man states dubiously.
"Well Feliks seems to be doing a great job so far, the being did not perpetuate further attacks on us after he spoke with it and it and his actions have been consistent so far, so thankyou Feliks for your valuable service, I for one am happy he was able to stop what would have been a terrible tragedy against an innocent being."
Hearda glances first at Feliks then back to the Old man his eyes steely, "The slip has shown himself as reliable as yourself, Old One. Save your accusations for those who have ensnared us here. Once we are free of this place then you may...discuss your concerns."

Feliks twitched at the slur, but said nothing about it.
"I think we can safely stand down."
"If that is still Felix. It's just as likely he's being controlled by that thing as that it is friendly." The old man holds true.
Sigvald gets visibly annoyed at that last statement but stops himself from moving he just turns to face the oldest one "That doesn't help anyone though old one, without proof your statements are empty and you offend Felix. If you have such worries you are better to keep them in your head until you have some sort of proof."
The creature sees Feliks withdrawing and it withdraws as well. "We're not fighting anymore, right?"
The old man's eyes narrow.
"Alright. I'll keep my worries to myself. I suppose it is reasonable to judge people on their displayed behaviour - despite our location." 'Surrounded by shapechangers, doppelgangers, strangers and spirits. Without even the memories to know my own name - these people could be anyone!'
Hearda nods in reply to the old man's reasoning, "A wise decision." Turning his attention to the strange creature as he hears the words translated by Feliks he shakes his head, "You still have not answered my questions. Who are you? Where did you come from?"
The creature sees Feliks withdrawing and it withdraws as well. "We're not fighting anymore, right?"
"We're not," Feliks told it. "My friend wants to know who you are and where you came from, if you remember?"
