"We have time so we can take this slow. We keep quite and learn what we can then take it out from the inside. Even better if we can turn them against themselves." Cyrus answers.

Eri la Grave |

She thinks for a moment before looking between Ravan and Cyrus, "Well....if that's the way you want to deal with this...then I should really act like a mute. I don't want to say something stupid and ruin your plans. So, it's just easier if I say nothing at all. At least around other people. Just don't forget that I need cookies."

Having selected your disguises and names, you set off for the town indicated by the sign post.
Aldencross came into view a short time later. From the looks of it, you gather it's a small market town that will work just beautifully as a base of operations. Also from your vantage point, you can see the lit watch torches of the Balentyne looming within a good walk from the town.
You enter the town without hassle and after a couple inquiries you come to the The Lords Dalliance. Opening the door, you see several patrons inside, many appear to be off-duty soldiers but some appear to be regular townsfolk as well. The air is full of music, laughter, the smell of ale and fairly decent food. Off to the side, there is a stage whereupon several veiled girls dance to the musician's tunes. Several barmaids carry trays of food and ale to and from the various tables about the floor. Toward the back of the Inn, you see a man behind the bar cleaning glasses and dusting bottles.

Yepper doodles. I am not the right one for....whatever it is we need to do here. I'm using the guise of a younger eleven girl and will be playing the shy, timid little girl who likes chocolate chip cookies. This is not a speaking part for me. Lol

Eri la Grave |

After looking around for a minute or so, the smell of the food causes her stomach to make a loud growling noise. Blushing slightly she tugs on Ravan's arm. Once she has her attention she rubs her stomach with one hand, while she brings the fingers of her other hand to her mouth, mimicking eating food.

Ravanalonna |

Vishanti gives Eri a little smile and nods. Sweeping into the tavern, the sorceress walks directly toward the man behind the bar, aware of the eyes she takes with her, a little extra swing in her step as she greets the man she assumes is the owner with a dazzling smile.
[ Around what time is it?

Ravanalonna |

"My friends and I are new in town and little Caitríona here is absolutely famished. she says smiling down at the little elven girl a little behind her. The amazing aroma's wafting onto the street made it an easy choice where we should go." she replies.

"We can certainly accommodate you here. Let me get you seated."
Flagging down a server, "Cassey, be a dear and seat these fine people over there in the corner. I'll see that Alicia gets them some bread while their food is getting ready."
The serving girl leads you to a table tucked away in a secluded corner, allowing you to see the entire Inn unimpeded.
A short time later, another woman appears at the table with a small basket of bread. "Greetings, what can I get you?"

Eri la Grave |

In her newest disguise, she looks to barely be four feet tall with curly red hair, large green eyes, a light sprinkling of freckles fall across her nose, and she looks as if she'd be around eighty-five pounds soaking wet. As they sit down she scoots as close to Ravan's seat as she can possibly get, without actually sitting in her lap. When the woman asks what they would like she looks at Ravan and brings her hands to her mouth as she pretends to eat a large sandwich.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Looking at the bread already sitting on the table for a moment she changes her mind and shakes Her head while making an X'ing motion with her hands. Placing her hands on the table she makes them into the shape of a plate and then makes a gesture as if cutting meat with a fork and knife. After her explanation, she looks expectantly up at Ravan. She hoped she knew what she meant.

Eri la Grave |

She looks from Ravan to the serving girl, and then back at Ravan as she wonders if either one of them understood what she meant. When she came up with this crazy disguise she hadn't thought out how she would pull off communicating with them around others if she wasn't supposed to speak. Almost as an afterthought she realizes she hadn't ordered anything to drink, so while Ravan and the serving girl seemed to be trying to figure out what she had asked for, she tugs on Ravan's arm again and pretends to be drinking from a cup. She pauses and then making her hands into loose fists, moves them up and down as if milking a cow. She would have much rather had some hot spiced cider....but she didn't think it would look right for what she was trying to pull off.

Eri la Grave |

Letting out a little sigh she realizes she might have just confused the woman by simply nodding. She points at Ravan before pointing back at the woman and nods again, as she tries to convey that she wanted the sliced meat as Ravan said.

Eri la Grave |

As everyone else places their orders, she stands up in her chair and holds onto the back of it while looking around the room, paying special attention to what the various people were talking about and seeing if she could pick up on any useful information yet.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Eri la Grave |

Okay, so you can get an idea of what I mean. She's standing up in her chair, with her back to the table as she "people watches". Does that make sense?

Cyrus Darkwater |

Seth, having used the disguise to cover any scars or telling marks about his true identity, asks for a strong drink and some cheap gruel.

Eri la Grave |

Ahhhh.....okay. Not sure I understand, but it sounds right I guess. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm gonna keep from starving if I don't know how to sign more than the very basic of things. I need more than meat and bread to survive....and eating what I really like is right out of the question since we're trying to maintain a low profile for the time being. How am I supposed to tell people that I want fruit, or vegetables, or cheese even? I hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew with mine.

Eri la Grave |

I don't think I thought through this idea of not talking very well. I can't go back on it now and just start talking, I have to maintain the....whatever you call it. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be though. I really didn't think about how hard it would make it to communicate with the rest of you when around other people if I want them to think that I can't talk.

Eri la Grave |

She doesn't keep her attention on any one person for long, but just continues to look around casually. She tucks away what she heard to relay to the others later once they were alone.

Eri la Grave |

Katie takes out three gold and hands them to the lady while giving her a shy smile. She points at the floor and then brings her hands together and putting them under her cheek she closes her eyes and pretends to snore before opening her eyes again and gives her another small smile.

Eri la Grave |

Katie takes out two more gold and hands them to her as she nods. With the food on the table, she turns around in her seat and plops down. Grabbing some bread from the little basket she cuts it open and places dome of her sliced meat in it before starting to hungrily devour it.

Eri la Grave |

Gggrrrrr....you know I can't bunk with Ruedo right? It wouldn't be appropriate for a young girl to be sharing a room with a grown man. I'm gonna have to share a room with Ravan.
