Caliban, Ruedo's Phantom |
"Captains aren't necessarily the best sailors, just the most intimidating or charismatic," Caliban says. "I'm pretty sure one of the crew knows his way around the boat and how to navigate."
Ravanalonna |
Employing her own special brand of diplomacy, Ravanalonna spends a bit of time among the crew, determining the most loyal to her as well as those capable of making reasonable decisions. Having access to a ship when they needed it was an asset too valuable to waste, and she was quite good at convincing all types that they'd never have it better than they did with her.

...and she was quite good at convincing all types that they'd never have it better than they did with her.
*Cough* Thomas *cough*
I've got to ask because I'm dying of curiosity. What did you mean by "special brand of diplomacy?"
Eri la Grave |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Looking over Ravan's shoulder she asks, "Do you think you could open it Ravan if it's safe? I just...I don't wanna look in there if it's gonna be something gross like vegetables or something."
Eri la Grave |
Nods
Walking back off the ship she goes back to their leader, "Sorry that took a bit to figure out. Soooo....you were saying something about a party?" She asks as she gives him a toothy grin of her own.
Eri la Grave |
Thinking for a moment she holds up a finger, "Hold that thought." Going back on the ship she grabs the box of whiskey, "No body cares if I take this right? Not like we need it...but if you want to hold onto one here ya go, though I can't imagine anyone liking this stuff." Handing one of the bottles to Ravan she takes the rest of them and heads back to Sakkarot and hands him the box, "Here, you can have this...for your party or whatever. I guess it could be pretty flammable too if you wanted to use it like that, but my friend said it was like good liquor or whatever so I thought I'd let you share it with your friends..or keep it for yourself, whatever." She says as she hands over the box.
She chooses to shift back to her more natural form, there was no need for her to hide herself here in her human skin suit.
So basically, as long as no one has any objections...Eri is giving five of the bottles to the bugbear king for his feast. If you guys wanted to keep all six for some reason, (*cough* lushes *cough cough*) then you can stop me before I take it outside via retcon.
Eri la Grave |
So, did any of you want to keep that one bottle? I'll leave that up to Ravan, she was the one I handed the one bottle to anyways. I just did it because we have no real use for it, unless you want to use it to set the watch tower on fire with later....but I know there's probably better ways to handle that scenario.
Eri la Grave |
She gives Ravan a grateful smile. She really didn't like the stuff and definitely hated the smell of it. If the bugbears had too much fun at their party, she'd go sleep on the ship later.
Eri la Grave |
After handing the head bugbear the booze she looks up at him, "Now we're ready. You were saying something about a feast?" She asks right before her stomach growls, as if on cue.
GM Scary Ceiling Voice |
"Prepare to fast-forward." *Fast forward*
After beheading the beast, Sakkarot put down the box of whiskey, "Drink up boys."
The ensuing chaos over the bottles was both glorious and terrifying at the same time. When things started to die down, the lead Bugbear beckoned all of you to his private chambers.
Dismissing his guards, he turned to you, “You are traitors to your own kind. You must know that. When Balentyne falls and my horde pours through its shattered gates, we will slaughter the Talireans by the thousands. Yet I see no regret in your eyes. Tell me, how can this be?”
Eri la Grave |
She scowls, "Easy...we hate them. We hate everything they stand for. And they are not my kind." She says emphasizing her point by extending her claws.
She sighs before looking down, "It's easy not to care about what happens to stupid humans that treat you like a piece of property your whole life and a slave because you're different and they can....well...that is until you're freed from your cage by a beautiful woman and eat said scumbag. Does that answer your question?"
Eri la Grave |
Nick....*snaps fingers* Hey, you okay? Do you really want to continue this cuz you don't seem very interested in posting. Just trying to see what you want to do.
Cyrus Darkwater |
Or I just forgot...
"The lot of us were marked for death by those people, and I think I'll quite enjoy watching this land burn." Cyrus answers.
Eri la Grave |
"See, we don't care about them. I think we'll all get a great deal of satisfaction from watching those pigs die." She says with a decisive nod of her head.
Eri la Grave |
A full belly on top of already being tired from everything they went through to get there, Eri just sort of leans over against Ruedo, content to let someone else answer his question.
Eri la Grave |
She lets out a little sigh that turns into a yawn as she turns her head to look at Ravan with sleepy eyes, before repositioning herself against Ruedo and closing her eyes.
GM Scary Ceiling Voice |
After several moments of silence, the Bugbear sighed, "Not a talkative bunch are you? Too bad, I don't get too many intelligent conversations with this lot. Oh well, feel free to sleep in my tent, or on your boat. It matters little to me. Tomorrow you must depart this camp. It will never be truly safe for you here. Over the next week, more tribes will rally to my banner. I will promise them blood and give them steel. Then at last I will be ready to march. A week after that – I will be poised to strike. I will move my horde to the valley just north of Balentyne. There we will wait for your signal. Fire this rocket into the air. Within the hour, we will attack. Make sure that the way is ready. After we gather, my horde will be idle and start to grow anxious. I can hold them together for another two weeks. After that, I expect desertions and squabbling. Get your work done before then. You have one month to infiltrate and destroy Balentyne."
He moved over to a large chest and pulled out a carefully wrapped object. Handing it to one of you, Sakkarot then said, "Can you do this? In one month can you break the Watch Wall?"
Ravanalonna |
"Absolutely," Ravannalonna says with conviction. "Sorry if we seem lass than talkative. After interrogation at the hands of those at Branderscar......opening up isn't an easy process."
Eri la Grave |
She stays leaning against Ruedo, but opens her eyes slightly as she yawns again. Nodding at the bugbear king she says, "It's as good as broken, there won't be any problem there like Ravan said. We'll leave your camp tomorrow as soon as the sun goes down and travel to where we need to go under the cover of darkness. Once everything is ready, we'll signal you as you asked us to." Yawning again she stretches as she looks over at Ravan, "Can we go sleep now?" She asks with a tired whine to her voice.
