A bit further in the hall spreads out offering more doors and directions to go.

There are several doors in the hallway and the hall itself divides two directions....

Where to?

North into room 5.

She opens the door, and at the ready.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

The door is stuck DC 13 strength check

Failure

Spoiler:
the door is still stuck

Success

Spoiler:
With a loud crack, the door finally gives wayand opens, shattering an ancient wooden chair propped against it on the other side. The room beyond is dark and smells deeply of
dust and decay.

STR check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Mummified remains rest in the center of the chamber. Wearing the garb of a blacksmith, the dwarf has the shattered shards of a glass vial in one hand and a scrap of ancient parchment in the other hand.

The parchment
Dwarven

Spoiler:
”Forgive me, dark father of the forge, my toils shall never be enough.”

Male Human Level 1 Ninja

"Let them come, I am ready." Said Dale proudly. Though he really just wanted a chance to nobly slay something. His last attempts had not gone so well.

"Lets check the room."
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Darrid?

Male Human Cleric 1

Darrid utters the word "Lumen" as he touches Titania's shield, illuminating it and the room in front of them.
He wanders over to the remains of the dwarf, carefully picking up the parchment before looking at it and then at his companions. "Anyone able to read this, lingusitics was never easy for me."
Percpetion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

"I can read it. It says ”Forgive me, dark father of the forge, my toils shall never be enough.” and that's it."

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Knowledge religion?
DC 14

Anyone? anyone?

can't, no ranks

Male Human Cleric 1

Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Tucked into the belt of the long-dead dwarf is a silver light hammer with a religious symbol carved into the head.

Darrid

Spoiler:
The note references and the hammer symbol is of Droskar, an evil Dwarven god whose domains are toil and suffering.

taking the hammer and symbol to sell later.

I think we're done here, lets check another room?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

AZ

Spoiler:

Hey have you checked my photobucket recently?

I have three versions of the cauldron on there....

and slow down, some people post less than we do!

Male Human Level 1 Ninja

"Now that is...unsettling. Lets indeed leave this fellow to his repose."

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

map

To the south is a door just across from this one, and a set of double doors stands ajar to the west......

Male Human Cleric 1

"It looks as though the dwarves that were here were not exactly worshipers of Torag. That symbol is for Droskar, not a very nice guy."
Darrid heads back into the hallway. "I am thinking that we should take a look at what is behind the door on the other side of this hallway." (Door directly south of the one we just came out of)

Sounds good, lets go.
On to room 6

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

This small chamber stores only a few moth-eaten rags hanging on the pegs and a single soiled hat resting on the table.

Perception DC 15

Spoiler:
Hiding in the southeast corner of the room is a single ironbloom mushroom.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
"I found a mushroom and it's one we're looking for, but we need more."

Male Human Cleric 1

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Darrid does a cursory search of the room and reaches down into one of the corners and comes up with a mushroom, then displaying it for the others to see. "Looks like we are in the right place, now we need to find a few more."

Male Human Level 1 Ninja

"Should we split up?"

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Map

You could split up one group turning down the left corridor Down on the map

The other group turning doen the right corridor Up on the map

Or you could all enter the double doors dead ahead on the map

"No we should stick together, let's head south."

Male Human Level 1 Ninja

Dale shrugged. "Very well, lets head that way."

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Heading down the hallway you have an open door off to your right and a closed door on your left......

"Let's open the door and see what is inside."
Room 7

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

This door is locked. The lock is ancient and not extremely difficult to open. Disable device check DC 20

"Stand back, let me take a crack at this."

Dale produces some thieves tools from his pack, shrugs at the looks, and gets to work on the lock.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Stinking up the dice this adventure! :) I'll try again as much as I'm allowed.

Male Human Cleric 1

It doesn't look like we are under any stress, you could always take 20 and work on it a while.

Or I could just break the door down.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

The dice roller hates Last Spartacus, but loves Dale!... ;)

I hereby decree he takes 20 and opens the door!

This small chamber appears to be some sort of sitting room, complete with a single table and a pair of chairs, both in relatively good condition. Resting atop the table is a half-eaten crow next to a crude knife and a cracked mug.

There is also another door in this room on the right hand wall.

Who's going in?

Let's check out that room. she whispers.
Seeing the half-Eaten crow, she goes in with shield and sword at the ready.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Titania make a DC 10 reflex save to half any damage from the trap!

Large chunks of debris fall from the ceiling suddenly!

Attack #1 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5
Attack #2 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5
Attack #3 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Damage 1d6 ⇒ 6
Attack #4 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Damage 1d6 ⇒ 3

Roll to confirm critical
Attack #1 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

You either take 5 damage or through a reflex save take only 3!

AC 19, the shield saved my butt

Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

HP: 9/12 (now)

Male Human Cleric 1

Isn't 1/2 damage always rounded down? so the damage would be 2?

Darrid winces as he sees the large pieces of debris strike Titania. "That is going to leave a mark."
Darrid cautiously enters the room, looking up to make sure that there is no more debris ready to fall upon him.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

No worries, I at least us the dice roller! ;) instead of just a post that says you take X damage....Though there was more potential for damage in the hazard ;)

Onward then!

This small cramped chamber holds two beds(one of which is covered in bird bones), a smallsack, and an array of old tools. The other bed looks recently slept in.

she checks the small sack of it's contents.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Titiana checks the sack....

peering inside

Spoiler:

62 gp in assorted coins
and a single ruby gemstone worth 300

Just then the dust ruffle near your feet moves!

A shortsword slashes out catching you unawares!
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Damage 1d4 ⇒ 2 +sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 5

but gets tangled in the bedding!

Male Human Level 1 Ninja

It took longer than expected, but Dale had opened the door, and winced as the brave tall woman was covered in falling rocks, only to shrug off the damage with little injury.

"Well this is off-putting..." He muttered, observing the room, when he saw the sword strike at Titania.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
He moved to counterattack when he got the chance.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Dale seeing no one to attack does the next best thing grabbing the bed and flipping it over to reveal a single Kobold......

Next!

Male Human Cleric 1

Darrid, seeing Dale flip the bed over to reveal a kobold, runs up sword drawn and takes a mighty swing at the little bastard.
Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21, Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 = 10

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

And splits him from head to toe!

Loot a complete set of masterwork artisan’s tools useful for making Craft (stonemasonry)
skill checks, potion of cure light wounds; daggers (4), mwk shortsword, small leather
armor, thieves tools. In addition, there is a small sack containing 62 gp in assorted coins and a single ruby gemstone worth 300 gold.

Dale nodded in wide eyed approval at the show of force.

"Well, that was brutally efficient! That was a kobold, right?
Never seen one before, but if I know anything, I think one on its own is a bit curious."

"So how will we divide the gear here?"

Male Human Cleric 1

"Just toss everything in the sack and we can sort it out later."

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Imagining the kobold corpse going into that bag as well ;)
