Ha! Fixed the hidden campaign issue with no help from support. It should show up under your campaigns now. Wow.


Do you guys use software to build PCs? I use pcgen to some degree. It is free and pretty good stuff but I have found a few mistakes. Exporting it to text is kind of grievous. I have heard good things about Hero Lab. Do I need to spend 30 bucks to create characters? If it is really sweet and fast, maybe.....

Some of my buddies have used hero lab. I never got into pc gen software


You have to spend $30 for the base program and the Core book, you will then spend more for each book that your character uses.

I use Hero lab a buddy and I split on it, you get 2 access keys right away and can buy up to 5 for a license. We both buy books so it works out well.

That is a pretty good indicator for pcgen. Just talk about them and you get offered help out of the blue. LOL. Some good folks over there. The mistakes I referenced were addressed in the discussion link above. Some styles of pdf character sheets do not add strength to the appropriate ranged weapons, some do. It will be fixed if not already. The text export is really no big deal. Editing text sure beats creating it all by hand. Gotta say thanks for what they gave us. The text export does not add strength either. That is apparent in Bulgard's profile. He knows to add it if he throws a dagger.

Re message: Do I need to be telling you when I recast it every time? My intent was just to assume I was refreshing the spell. Whichever is easiest for you to track.


Nah, you have unlimited cantrips. Will assume it is always recast.

Ok, we are back. So the open door Zevon is referring to it the first one in corridor 11. Do we want to send Rhen and Reinar back into the courtyard and enter corridor 11 through the door to the north (east end of the hall)?


During the issue today, I was watching a thread where everyone but support was discussing the problem. Best comment was something like this.

"Does anyone know the caster level of Paizo so we can determine how long this greater invisibility will last?"


Rhen, you are actually at 3 hp. You took one from the dark mantle.


Zevon, how is that wand holding up? I have not been counting.


Bulgard, your bow does 1d8 and nothing more. Not sure where all that other came from.

Bulgard, sorry I posted incorrectly (and no one corrected me). Point blank does add +1 to the 1d8 damage and if you declare ranger's focus once per day against the favored enemy you get +2 to attack and damage for that particular enemy. Strength only applies if the composite bow supports it. So, you could best case pull off 1d8 +1 +2 with your current bow. All attacks will be 1d8 +1 inside of 30 ft, 1d8 outside of that. PCGen text output once again confusing. But I love those guys and their open source product. I know they are watching. :-)

Rangers always get a +2/+2 to attacking/Damaging/IDing their favoured enemies. You don't have to call it out.


Thank you, Rhen. He chose ranger's focus over a preferred enemy. Probably a good choice.


Okay, while we wait let's see how you plan to address this one. You will have the opportunity to face a swarm of bats. By choice only. But, there is good reason to take them on. They are immune to weapon damage and spells that focus on individuals. Also %50 DR on area effects from spells or splash damage. What do you have to fight that?

As far as I know you have one item that would give you two good whacks at it. I'll drop something Rhen and anyone else can use. That should prove to be an interesting encounter.

Page 237 of the Monster Manual outlines some vulnerabilities of swarms:

A lit torch swung as an improvised weapon (usual -4 penalty) deals 1d3 points of fire damage per hit.
A weapon with a special ability such as flaming or frost deals its full energy damage with each it, even if the weapon's normal damage can't affect the swarm.
A lit lantern can be used as a thrown weapon, dealing 1d4 points of fire damage to all creatures in squares adjacent to where it breaks.

Another party weakness I see. You will level up if you survive, so something to consider. If Zevon goes to negative hps, you can't heal. He is supposed to be Greypelt's first victim (lowest AC). Maybe someone else should delve into UMD just in case? Well, you do have some potions you could pour down his throat,

Also note that you take a negative penalty when using a composite longbow and don't have the required strength.

Here is the way I see the lanterns working. A direct hit does not affect them, but splash does at +%50. You can throw (range 10ft) at one of its occupied squares (AC16) or an unoccupied grid intersection (AC5). When you throw, please be sure to state your target as clearly as possible. If it is a miss, just roll a 1d8 and I will take it from there.

I like an opening volley of lanterns, then wade in with torches.


When Rhen returns you will each have two lanterns. Zevon grabbed a torch. Bulgard lit one in a previous battle. His is still going. Does anyone else have a torch? Just say so and you you have it.


Don't take it personally, Reinar. Remember he flamed Seldlron in Fortress. Maybe keep flammables away from Rhen. LOL. Nobody is gonna die over this. I hope....

I say we go ahead and see about grayback. We are essentially full health. I have one casting of either ear piercing scream or CLW left. I also have 4 rounds of performance, and I imagine after 4 rounds either he will be about done or we will.

I did not give you full defense as you cannot move or pick mushrooms while in total defense. In combat as a standard action, sure. Okay I guess you can move in total defense, ruling reversed.

Rhen's con dropped from 14 (+3) to 12 (+2). Current and max hp dropped by 1 due to that. Zevon zapped him raising his con to 13 not changing the pluses. An overnight rest brings him back to 14 con and 8 of 11 hp.
