for a while there, perusing potential fodder for the game, I had a complex about "oh, man; I'm going to look like I'm purposely introducing fire-resistant stuff...." but lately, it seems like stuff I randomly pick is resistant somehow or another, so I'm getting over my neurosis. Like this asbestos elemental thing....(j/k)

As monstes get tougher, many of them gain resistances. It only seems logical that more and more foes will have fire resistance - not that that will save them from Riese's spells, which now burn hot enough to damage creatures who are immune to fire! Nasty!

I got 4 myself. A smallish dragon on my left bicep, a flaming skull with a rose coming through it on the right, a cartoon parrot on my left calf(wanna see my bird? It's in me sock!) and 2 dragons intertwined and falling from the sky in a passionate embrace (from a book I have). The calf hurt the most. I like the pain though so it's all good.

shopping's cool. Again, you can find somebody who knows somebody.....who knows somebody who's got what you want. If this game was IRL, I might fart around and roleplay it more, but that could take strange aeons in a pbp to accomplish.

You can sell here; it's ostensively "bartered" away for stuff you want, at the standard rates for buying/selling goods.

Pip doesn't have fireball on his spell list; however, with a d.c. 20 use magical device roll,....the pyromania just grows and grows.

Can Beldan have the amulet of natural armour? No worries if one of the more heavily combat inclined characters would prefer it.

The BOLD above wouldn't happen to be from DragonRiders of Pern would it? It sounds very familiar,... And I don't have any ink. Never really had the desire to inscribe something on my body that I was pretty sure wouldn't look good as I got older. (Unlike most youths, I actually paid attention to what my dad looked like!) Though I must confess I DID entertain the thought,... more than once. And if I had, it would have been a dragon! :)

The torc/displacement item would be cool for almost anyone. Oso (or anybody) could use it to protect themselves while providing aid to an injured fellow. Very cool. I am definitely playing Elgan as a backup healer now. He still has the ability to burn any spell into a heal, and he has a decent number of spells now. But with his new Slayer forms, he is a little more into the fighting now. (NOT that we need it with Ginsu Stig and Quizinart Gittik on the job!) And I still have to watch his HP,.... ;P

I can't think of anything to buy for a druid right now. I'll take a look when I have time. Unless anybody has any suggestions?

a lot of people think so; I tried to read them in ninth grade and the fact that it had a lot of really weird words in it made it kinda wearing for me at the time; kinda like reading Dune or something--tried that at about the same time and I couldn't keep straight what was going on. Only in Dragonriders, there'd be weyrs, werries, weyrriders, weyr this and weyr that; I just gave up.

For my spellbook picks- 4th level- enervation, phantasmal killer
3rd- dispel magic, fly
2nd- gust of wind, summon swarm

I could use the Bracers of Armor +2 but it isn't any dire need, they don't stack with Mage Armor or Greater Mage armor so it's mostly worthless to me.

Does Pip want the bracers? If not, we'll sell them too. Finally, can we just add the extra spells to our spellbooks?

Its probably better if someone who cannot heal themselves takes the displacement item. It will hopefully give them an extra round or two of security if they get low on hit points.

Oso will ask around about the Barons House to see if the tattoo guy was talking truth or just shooting the breeze.

I was thinking maybe Stig should take it. With all that 2-handed power attacking, his AC usually isn't the best.

Just looked at your character, and your chain shirt is far superior (sadly, bracers give armour bonus to AC). So we'll sell the bracers, I guess.

Beyond some bottled tools, I'm not buying anything either. I've tweaked my spells a little, so I'm ready to go.
